AIm:To investigate twenty-year experience evaluated the use of the PolysorbR(an absorbable lactomer)staples for distal pancreatic ***:The data on 150 patients[92 men,58women,mean age 52(24-72)years]who underwent distal pancreatectomy(DP)in the last 20 years were collected prospectively from an electronic *** diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography,sonography,computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance *** indications for DP were focal pancreatic necrosis,spontaneous pancreatic fistulas,abscesses,pseudocysts,segmental chronic obstructive pancreatitis in the tail,traumatic disruption,and benign(cystadenomas,insulinomas,or glucagonomas)or m.lignant *** distal resections were performed without splenectomy in 29 of the 150 patients(19%).In the event of splenectomy,the splenic artery and vein were individually ligated,the TA-55 Auto Suture stapler,loaded with Premium PolysorbR 55 staples(5.5mm),was placed across the gland,and the trigger was pulled,the action of which produced two staggered absorbable suture *** gland distal to the stapler wasthen amputated with a scalpel on the TA-55 stapler and the two rows of staples were left in the proxim.l pancreatic *** the distal resection,a drainage tube was inserted into the pancreatic ***:The average duration of the operation was150 min(range:90-210 min)and no transfusion was indicated during the *** DP in one patient a type B fistula was diagnosed,which was treated successfully by conservative treatment comprising of 12-d octreotide medication(3×0.1 mg/d)and jejunal *** incidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula was therefore0.6%.Another 2 patients suffered postoperative pancreatitis,which was also conservatively *** were performed in 2 patients on the first or second postoperative day,necessitated by bleeding from the retroperitoneal *** morbidity was 3.3%(5 patients),but no mortality

many environmental chemicals and pesticides have been found to alter neuroendocrine communication in exposed biological objects. The environmental loads have primary and secondary effects that can alter the homeostatic regulation potential. Since it is difficult to avoid human exposition, a potentially important area of research to develop in vivo and in vitro experimental models. In this context, the primary aim of this study was to demonstrate the effects of chlorobenzenes on adrenocorticotrophic hormone（ACTH） release. In our experimental study, m.le Wistar rats were exposed to 0.1, 1.0 and 10 μg/b.w.（body weight） kg of 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene and hexachlorobenzene（Cl B） mix via gastric tube for 30, 60 or 90 days. At the endpoints of the experiment blood sam.les were taken and anim.ls were decapitated. Primary,monolayer adenohypophysis cell cultures were prepared by enzymatic and mechanical digestion. The ACTH hormone content in serum and supernatant media was measured by immuno-chem.luminescence assay. The mg2＋-dependent ATPase activity was determined by modified method of martin and Dotty. Significant differences were detected in the hormone release between the control and treated groups. The hormone release was enhanced characteristically in exposed groups depending upon the dose and duration of exposure. The mg2＋-ATPase activity enhanced after chronic and subtoxic Cl B exposition. light microscopy revealed that the adenohypophysis seemed to be more abundant. Results indicate that Wistar rats exposed to subtoxic Cl B have direct and indirect effects on hypothalamus–hypophysis–adrenal axis.

Under a first order moment condition on the immigration mechanism,we show that an appropriately scaled supercritical and irreducible m.lti-type continuous state and continuous time branching process with immigration(CBI process)converges almost *** an x log(x)moment condition on the branching mechanism does not hold,then the limit is *** this x log(x)moment condition holds,then we prove l1 convergence as *** projection of the limit on any left non-Perron eigenvector of the branching mean matrix is ***,in addition,a suitable extra power moment condition on the branching mechanism holds,then we provide the correct scaling for the projection of a CBI process on certain left non-Perron eigenvectors of the branching mean matrix in order to have almost sure and l1 ***,under a second order moment condition on the branching and immigration mechanisms,we prove l2 convergence of an appropriately scaled process and the above-mentioned projections as well.A representation of the limits is also provided under the same moment conditions.

Engineering oxygen vacancy formation and distribution is a powerful route for controlling the oxygen sublattice evolution that affects diverse functional *** controlling of the oxygen vacancy formation process is particularly important for inducing topotactic phase transitions that occur by transformation of the oxygen *** we demonstrate an epitaxial nanocomposite approach for exploring the spatial control of topotactic phase transition from a pristine perovskite phase to an oxygen vacancy-ordered brownm.llerite(Bm)phase in a model oxide la_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)mnO_(3)(lSmO).Incorporating a minority phase NiO in lSmO films creates ultrahigh density of vertically aligned epitaxial interfaces that strongly influence the oxygen vacancy formation and distribution in *** structural characterizations reveal strong interactions between NiO and lSmO across the epitaxial interfaces leading to a topotactic phase transition in lSmO accompanied by significant morphology evolution in *** the NiO nominal ratio as a single control parameter,we obtain intermediate topotactic nanostructures with distinct distribution of the transformed lSmO-Bm phase,which enables systematic tuning of magnetic and electrical transport *** use of self-assem.led heterostructure interfaces by the epitaxial nanocomposite platform enables more versatile design of topotactic phase structures and correlated functionalities that are sensitive to oxygen vacancies.

During the last decade, the leafhopper transmitted Wheat dwarf virus （WDV） has become a serious problem both in northwestern China and Hungary. In order to study the m.lecular diversity and population structure of WDV in these two countries, 39 Chinese isolates and 16 Hungarian isolates were collected from different regions of China and Hungary, and their genomes were sequenced. All isolates belonged to the wheat strain of WDV and showed limited genetic diversity. The highest and lowest nucleotide sequence identities among isolates from China and Hungary were 99.9 and 90%, respectively. In all isolates, the lowest nucleotide sequence identity was 89.5% between mO10-1 and KP10-5, which were collected from martonv^is^r and Kompolt, Hungary. Phylogenetic analyses showed the genome sequences of 55 WDV isolates belong to two big clades, but no clear correlation to geographical location. Population difference analyses indicated that the Chinese and Hungarian WDV populations have no significant difference. The regions in WDV genome with relatively low nucleotide diversities represented protein coding regions suggested that these regions evolved under negative selection, and might be one of the causes restricting the number of genetic variants.

AIm： To evaluate the gastro-protective effect of capsaicin against the ethanol- and indomethacin （IND）-induced gastric mucosal damage in healthy human subjects. mETHODS： The effects of sm.ll doses （1-8 μg/ml, 100 ml） of capsaicin on the gastric acid secretion basal acid output （BAO） and its electrolyte concentration, gastric transmucosal potential difference （GTPD）, ethanol- （5 ml 300 ml/l i.g.） and IND- （3×25 mg/d） induced gastric mucosal damage were tested in a randomized, prospective study of 84 healthy human subjects. The possible role of desensitization of capsaicin-sensitive afferents was tested by repeated exposures and during a prolonged treatment. RESUlTS： Intragastric application of capsaicin decreased the BAO and enhanced “non-parietal” component, GTPD in a dose-dependent manner. The decrease of GTPD evoked by ethanol was inhibited by the capsaicin application, which was reproducible. Gastric microbleeding induced by IND was inhibited by co-administration with capsaicin, but was not influenced by two weeks pretreatment with a daily capsaicin dose of 3×400μg i.g. CONClUSION： Capsaicin in low concentration range protects against gastric injuries induced by ethanol or IND, which is attributed to stim.lation of the sensory nerve endings.
