Bats are the second-most diverse group of mammals in the world,and bat flies are their main ***,significant knowledge gaps remain regarding these antagonistic interactions,especially since diverse factors such as seasonality and host sex can affect their network ***,we explore the influence of such factors by comparing species richness and composition of bat flies on host bats,as well as specialization and modularity of bat–bat fly interaction networks between seasons and adult host *** captured bats and collected their ectoparasitic flies at 10 sampling sites in the savannahs of AmapáState,northeastern region of the Brazilian *** female bats being more parasitized and recording greater bat fly species richness in the wet season,neither relationship was statistically *** pooled network could be divided into 15 compartments with 54 links,and all subnetworks comprised>12 *** total number of links ranged from 27 to 48(for the dry and wet seasons,respectively),and female and male subnetworks had 44 and 41 links,*** values were very low for the pooled network and for all *** results revealed higher bat fly species richness and abundance in the wet season,whereas specialization and modularity were higher in the dry ***,the subnetwork for female bats displayed higher specialization and modularity than the male ***,both seasonality and host sex contribute in different ways to bat–bat fly network *** studies should consider these factors when evaluating bat–bat fly interaction networks.

Enviromics refers to the characterization of micro-and macroenvironments based on large-scale environmental *** providing genotypic recommendations with predictive extrapolation at a site-specific level,enviromics could inform plant breeding decisions across varying conditions and anticipate productivity in a changing ***-based integration of statistics,envirotyping(i.e.,determining environmental factors),and remote sensing could help unravel the complex interplay of genetics,environment,and *** support this goal,exhaustive envirotyping to generate precise environmental profiles would significantly improve predictions of genotype performance and genetic gain in ***,informatics management platforms aggregate diverse environmental datasets obtained using optical,thermal,radar,and light detection and ranging(LiDAR)sensors that capture detailed information about vegetation,surface structure,and *** wealth of information,coupled with freely available climate data,fuels innovative enviromics *** enviromics holds immense potential for breeding,a few obstacles remain,such as the need for(1)integrative methodologies to systematically collect field data to scale and expand observations across the landscape with satellite data;(2)state-of-the-art AI models for data integration,simulation,and prediction;(3)cyberinfrastructure for processing big data across scales and providing seamless interfaces to deliver forecasts to stakeholders;and(4)collaboration and data sharing among farmers,breeders,physiologists,geoinformatics experts,and programmers across research *** these challenges is essential for leveraging the full potential of big data captured by satellites to transform 21st century agriculture and crop improvement through enviromics.

This work describes the use of TiO_(2)nanotubes-based electrodes(TNT)modified with cu_(2)O nanostructures and gold nanoparticles for the photoelectroreduction of cO_(2)to produce value-added compounds.A thin layer of polydopamine was used as both an adherent agent and an electron transfer mediator,due to itsπ-conjugated electron *** highest production yield was achieved using a TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode,with Faradaic efficiencies of 47.4%(110.5μM cm^(-2))and 27.8%(50.4μM cm^(-2))for methanol and methane,*** performance of the photoelectrodes was shown to be cu_(2)O facet-dependent,with cubic structures leading to greater conversion of cO_(2)to methanol(43%)and methane(27%),compared to the octahedral morphology,while a higher percentage of metallic gold on the nanostructured cu_(2)O surface was mainly important for *** functional theory(DFT)calculations supported these findings,attributing the superior photoelectrocatalytic performance of the TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode for cH4generation to the formation of an OcH3intermediate bonded to Au *** using isotope-labeling and analysis by gas chromatograph-mass(Gc-MS)demonstrated that13cO_(2)was the source for photoelectrocatalytic generation of13cH3OH and13cH313cH2OH.

In this work,combustion synthesis was used for the first time to fabricate a phosphor material with red emission for applications in solid-state white-light *** synthesized a material with emission wavelength at λ_(em)=617 nm,excited under long UV-blue wavelength based on Eu^(3+),Tb^(3+)-activated molybdates Li_(3)Ba_(2)(La_(1-x-y)Eu_(x)Tb_(y))_(3)(MoO_(4))_(8) with 0 ≤ x ≤1 and 0 ≤ y ≤ 1.A series of powder samples were produced by the combustion method and post-annealed at 800℃ in *** crystalline phase formation was investigated by X-ray diffraction,which reveals the monoclinic c2/c(15) space *** is observed that crystalline structure and morphology are preserved when the host lattice is doped with Eu^(3+) or Tb^(3+) single ions and co-doped with both ions at different doping concentrations.A detailed characterization by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)shows a similar morphology in all samples:rather large(1-7 μm) agglomerate particles with irregular shapes and surrounded by smaller nanoparticles of 50 nm in ***-visible absorption spectra confirm the presence of Eu^(3+) and Tb^(3+) *** luminescent properties of the obtained phosphors were studied in *** measurements indicate that the best emission intensity is for Eu^(3+):Tb^(3+)doping ratios of 80:0,90:0 and 20:*** the other hand,samples with 80:0,60:40,and 20:80 doping ratios show the highest intensity in a detailed photoluminescence analysis and they exhibit the highest quantum yield values.A complete and efficient energy transfer from the sensitizer Tb^(3+) to the activator Eu^(3+) is observed in all co-doped phosphors post-annealed at 800℃ for 4 ***,the Li_(3)Ba_(2)La_(3)(MaO_(4))_(8):Eu^(3+),Tb^(3+) materials fabricated by combustion synthesis are excellent phosphors for being applied as red-emitting component in solid-state white-light lamps due to an improved color rendering index(cRI) that can be obtained under lo

Duplex stainless steels are being used on applications that require,especially,high corrosion resistance and overall good mechanical properties,such as the naval and oil-gas exploration *** components employed in these industries are usually obtained by machining,however,these alloys have low machinability when compared to conventional stainless *** this work,a study of the wear developed when milling duplex stainless-steel,LDX 2101,is going to be presented and evaluated,employing four types of milling tools with different geometries and coatings,while studying the influence of feed rate and cutting length in the wear of these *** used have been provided with two and four flutes,as well as three different coatings,namely:TiAlN,TiAlSiN and *** cutting behavior of these tools was analyzed;data relative to the cutting forces developed during the process were obtained;and roughness measurements of the machined surfaces were *** tools were then submitted to scanning electron microscope(SEM)analysis,enabling the identification of the wear mechanisms that tools were subjected to when machining this material,furthermore,the early stages of these mechanisms were also *** this work was done with the goal of relating the machining parameters and cutting force values obtained,identifying,and discussing the wear patterns that were observed in the coating and tools after the milling tests,providing further information on the machining of these alloys.
