Over recent deca.es, g.mpa.a.district, Sri La.ka. ha. experienced sig.ifica.t urba.isa.ion a.d industria. g.ow.h, increa.ing.g.oundw.ter dema.d due to limited a.d polluted surfa.e w.ter resources. In 2013, a.community uprising.in Ra.hupa.w.la. a.villa.0} in g.mpa.a.district, a.cused a.la.ex g.ove ma.ufa.turing.fa.tory of ca.sing.g.oundw.ter a.idity (pH a.ua.es the spa.ia. a.d tempora. cha.g.s in g.ochemica. pa.a.eters a.ross three tra.sects in the southern pa.t of g.mpa.a.district to 1) a.sess the impa.t of g.olog.ca. forma.ions on g.oundw.ter;2) compa.e tempora. va.ia.ions in g.oundw.ter;a.d 3) expla.n a.idifica.ion via.a.g.ochemica. model. Seventy-tw. sa.ple loca.ions w.re tested for pH, electrica. conductivity (EC), a.d a.ion concentra.ions (sulpha.e, nitra.e, chloride a.d fluoride). Depth to the w.ter ta.le a.d dista.ce from the sea.w.re mea.ured to study va.ia.ions a.ross sa.dy, pea.y, la.eritic, a.d crysta.line a.uifers. Results show.d pH rea.ing. a.ound 7 for sa.dy a.d crysta.line a.uifers, below.7 for pea.y a.uifers, a.d below.5 for la.eritic a.uifers, w.th sig.ifica.t w.ter ta.le fluctua.ions nea. Ra.hupa.w.la.a.ea. Principa. component a.a.ysis revea.ed three principa. components (PCs) expla.ning.86.0% of the va.ia.ce. PC1 (40.6%) correla.ed w.th pH, EC, a.d sulpha.e (sa.tw.ter intrusion), w.ile PC2 (32.0%) correla.ed w.th nitra.es a.d depth to the w.ter ta.le (a.thropog.nic nutrient pollution). a.g.ochemica. tra.sport model indica.ed a.cone of depression recha.g.d by a.idic g.oundw.ter from pea.-soil a.uifers, lea.ing.to a.idic g.oundw.ter in Ra.hupa.w.la.a.ea. The novelty of this resea.ch lies in the successful fa.rica.ion of a.3D-printed honeycomb structure filled w.th na.ofillers for a.oustic properties,utilizing.a. impeda.ce tube setup in a.corda.ce w.th a.TM sta.da.d E *** Crea.ity Ender-3,a.3D printer,w.s used for printing.the honeycomb structures,a.d polyla.tic a.id(PLa.ma.eria. w.s employed for their *** org.nic,inorg.nic,a.d polymeric compounds w.thin the composites w.re identified using.fourier tra.sforma.ion infra.ed(FTIR)*** structure a.d homog.neity of the sa.ples w.re exa.ined using.a.field emission sca.ning.electron microscope(FESEM).To determine the sound a.sorption coefficient of the 3D printed honeycomb structure,numerous sa.ples w.re systema.ica.ly developed using.centra. composite desig.(CCD)a.d a.a.ysed using.response surfa.e methodolog.(RSM).The RSM ma.hema.ica. model w.s esta.lished to predict the optimum va.ues of ea.h fa.tor a.d noise reduction coefficient(NRC).The optimum va.ues for a. The first sta.1} of the process involves a.tohea.ed thermophilic a.robic dig.stion a. 55-60℃ inocula.ed w.th less-a.idophilic thermophilic sulfur-oxidizing.microorg.nisms （a.a.）. The results show.tha. it is possible to ma.nta.n the a.tohea.ed conditions （55-60℃） in the a.a. rea.tor up to 24 hr, lea.ing.to reduction of 21% tota. solids （TS）, 27% vola.ile solids （VS）, 27% suspended solids （SS） a.d 33% vola.ile suspended solids （VSS） from the sludg.. The sludg. pH a.so decrea.ed from 7 to 4.6 due to the a.tivity of less-a.idophilic thermophilic microorg.nisms. In the second sta.1} opera.ion, the dig.sted sludg. （pH 4.6, TS 31.6 g.L） from sta.1} one w.s subjected to biolea.hing.in a.continuous stirred ta.k rea.tor, opera.ed a. mea. hydra.lic retention times （HRTs） of 12, 24 a.d 36 hr a. 30℃. a. HRT of 24 hr w.s found to be sufficient for remova. of 70% Cu, 70% Mn, 75% Ni, a.d 80% Zn from the sludg.. In a.l, 39% VSS, 76% Cu, 78.2% Mn, 79.5% Ni a.d 84.2% Zn w.re removed from the sludg. in both the sta.1}s.
