Earth observation satellites produce large amounts of.images/data that not only must be processed and preserved in reliable geospatial platf.rms but also ef.iciently disseminated among partners/researchers f.r creating derivative products through collaborative *** can f.ce up this challenge in a cost-ef.ective manner by using cloud ***,outages and violations of.integrity/conf.dentiality associated to this technology could *** article presents f.dIDS,a suite of.cloud-based components f.r building dependable geospatial *** f.d component enables organizations to build shared geospatial data inf.astructure through f.deration of.independent cloud resources to withstand outages,whereas IDS avoids violations of.integrity/conf.dentiality of.images/data in sharing inf.rmation and collaboration workf.ows.A f.dIDS prototype,deployed in Spain and Mexico,was evaluated through a study case based on a satellite imagery captured by a Mexican antenna and another based on a satellite imagery of.a European observation *** acquisition,storage and sharing of.images among users of.the f.deration,the exchange of.images between Mexican and Spanish sites and outage scenarios were *** evaluation revealed the f.asibility,reliability and ef.iciency of.f.dIDS,in comparison with available solutions,in terms of.perf.rmance,storage consume and integrity/conf.dentiality when sharing images/data in collaborative scenarios.

The load partitioning between the magnesium and titanium phases in an extruded Mg-15%Ti(vol.%) composite f.om room temperature up to 300 ℃ using synchrotron radiation dif.raction during in-situ compression tests. During compression, the magnesium matrix composite def.rms mainly by the activation of.the extension twinning system up to 200 ℃. The volume f.action of.twins increases with the plastic strain but decrease with the compression temperature. Hard titanium particles bear an additional load transf.rred by the sof. magnesium matrix f.om room temperature up to 300 ℃. This ef.ect is amplif.ed af.er yield stress during plastic def.rmation. Additionally, twins within magnesium grains behaves as an additional reinf.rcement at low temperature(below 200 ℃) inducing an increase in the work hardening of.the composite.

The world is experiencing a growing shortage of.raw materials which is especially severe in the energy sector and being worsened by the unf.vorable environmental impact of.a consumerist cultttre revolving around the exploitation of.non-renewable resources. In this work, the calorif.c value and chemical composition of.liquors resulting f.om the autohydrolysis of.six dif.erent lignocellulosic materials was determined （Eucalyptus globulus, Arundo donax, Leucaena diversif.lia, Paulownia f.rtunei, Sunf.ower stalks and Chamaecytisus prolif.rus） and was assessed f.r the obtainment of.energy, sugars and other chemical products by using of.integral f.actionation based on autohydrolysis. Autohydrolysis processes have been considered interesting in the case of.timber species studied compared with herbaceous species with variations in the extraction of.the xylan f.action at 180℃ between 19.68% f.r Eucalyptus globulus and 36.79% f.r Leucaena diversif.lia and 200℃ between 57.86% f.r Paulawniaf.rtunei and 79.13 % f.r Chamaecytisusprolif.rus. In general, all materials show a solid f.action ＂more energy＂ f.om the hydrolysis to 200℃ than 180℃ and raw materials. It is interesting as the potential economy valuation of.the liquid f.actions of.the hydrolysis, the solid waste recovery present more energetic prof.tability.

Silica gel and MCM-41 synthesized mesoporous materials were treated with either oxygen（O_2）,hexamethyldisiloxane（HMDSO） and organic vapors like ethanol（Et OH）,and acrylonitrile（AN）inductive *** radiof.equency power f.r the modif.cation was f.xed to 120 W and30 min,assuring a high degree of.organic ionization energy in the *** surf.ce properties were studied by inf.ared spectroscopy（f.IR）,scanning electron microscopy,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering technique was used f.r characterizing size *** the silica and MCM-41 particles were modif.ed by AN and HMDSO plasma gases,the surf.ce morphology of.the particles was changed,presenting another color,size or *** contrast,the treatments of.oxygen and Et OH did not af.ect the surf.ce morphology of.both particles,but increased the oxygen content at the surf.ce bigger than the AN and HMDSO plasma *** this study,we investigated the inf.uence of.dif.erent plasma treatments on changes in morphology and the chemical composition of.the modif.ed particles which render them a possible new adsorbent f.r utilization in sorptive extraction techniques f.r polar compounds.

Several studies have characterized the cellular and molecular mechanisms of.hepatocyte inj.ry caused by the retention of.hydrophobic bile acids （BAs） in cholestatic diseases. BAs may disrupt cell membranes through their detergent action on lipid components and can promote the generation of.reactive oxygen species that, in turn, oxidatively modif. lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids, and eventually cause hepatocyte necrosis and apoptosis. Several pathways are involved in triggering hepatocyte apoptosis. Toxic BAs can activate hepatocyte death receptors directly and induce oxidative damage, thereby causing mitochondrial dysf.nction, and induce endoplasmic reticulum stress. When these compounds are taken up and accumulate inside biliary cells, they can also cause apoptosis. Regarding extrahepatic tissues, the accumulation of.BAs in the systemic circulation may contribute to endothelial inj.ry in the kidney and lungs. In gastrointestinal cells, BAs may behave as cancer promoters through an indirect mechanism involving oxidative stress and DNA damage, as well as acting as selection agents f.r apoptosis-resistant cells. The accumulation of.BAs may have also deleterious ef.ects on placental and f.tal cells. However, other BAs, such as ursodeoxycholic acid, have been shown to modulate BA-induced inj.ry in hepatocytes. The maj.r benef.cial ef.ects of.treatment with ursodeoxycholic acid are protection against cytotoxicity due to more toxic BAs; the stimulation of.hepatobiliary secretion; antioxidant activity, due in part to an enhancement in glutathione levels; and the inhibition of.liver cell apoptosis. 膜计算(也称为P系统或膜系统)是一种新颖的分布式、并行计算模型.为了处理数据聚类问题,提出了一种采用混合进化机制的膜聚类算法.它使用了一个由3个细胞组成的组织P系统,为一个待聚类的数据集发现最优的簇中心.其对象表示候选的簇中心,并且这3个细胞分别使用了3种不同的进化机制:遗传算子、速度-位移模型和差分进化机制.然而,所使用的速度-位移模型和差分进化机制是结合了这个特殊膜结构和转运机制所提出的改进版本.这种混合进化机制能够增强系统中对象的多样性和改善收敛性能.在混合进化机制和转运机制控制下,这种膜聚类算法能够确定一个数据集的良好划分.所提出的膜聚类算法在3个人工数据集和5个真实数据集上被评估,并与k-means和几种进化聚类算法进行比较.统计显著性测试建立了所提出的膜聚类算法的优势.

TAL ef.ectors delivered by phytopathogenic Xanthomonas species are DNA-sequence-specif.c transcrip- tional activators of.host susceptibility genes and sometimes resistance genes. The modularity of.DNA recognition by TAL ef.ectors makes them important also as tools f.r gene targeting and genome editing. Ef.ector binding elements （EBEs） recognized by native TAL ef.ectors in plants have been identif.ed only on the f.rward strand of.target promoters. Here, we demonstrate that TAL ef.ectors can drive plant tran- scription f.om EBEs on either strand and in both directions. f.rthermore, we show that a native TAL ef.ector f.om Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola drives expression of.a target with an EBE on each strand of.its promoter. By inserting that promoter and derivatives between two reporter genes oriented head to head, we show that the TAL ef.ector drives expression f.om either EBE in the respective orientations, and that activity at the reverse-strand EBE also potentiates f.rward transcription driven by activity at the f.rward-strand EBE. Our results reveal new modes of.action f.r TAL ef.ectors, suggesting the possibility of.yet unrecognized targets important in plant disease, expanding the search space f.r of.-targets of.custom TAL ef.ectors, and highlighting the potential of.TAL ef.ectors f.r probing f.ndamental aspects of.plant transcription.

Bacterial inf.ction of.implanted scaf.olds may have f.tal consequences and,in combination with the emergence of.multidrug bacterial resistance,the development of.advanced antibacterial biomaterials and constructs is of.great *** decades ago,metals and their ions had been used to minimize bacterial inf.ction risk and,more recently,metal-based nanomaterials,with improved antimicrobial properties,have been advocated as a novel and tunable alternative.A comprehensive review is provided on how metal ions and ion nanoparticles have the potential to decrease or eliminate unwanted *** mechanisms such as oxidative stress induction,ion release and disruption of.biomolecules are currently well ***,the exact antimicrobial mechanisms of.the discussed metal compounds remain poorly *** combination of.dif.erent metal ions and surf.ce decorations of.nanoparticles will lead to synergistic ef.ects and improved microbial killing,and allow to mitigate potential side ef.ects to the *** with a general overview of.antibacterial mechanisms,we subsequently f.cus on specif.c metal ions such as silver,zinc,copper,iron and gold,and outline their distinct modes of.***,we discuss the use of.these metal ions and nanoparticles in tissue engineering to prevent implant f.ilure.
