Improving the operational stability of perovskite solar cells with cesium-doped graphene oxide interlayer

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have made great advances in terms of power conversion efficiency(PCE),yet their subpar stability continues to hinder their *** interface between the perovskite layer and the charge-carrier transporting layers plays a crucial role in undermining the stability of *** this work,we propose a strategy to stabilize high-performance PSCs with PCE over 23%by introducing a cesium-doped graphene oxide(GO-Cs)as an interlayer between the perovskite and hole-transporting *** GO-Cs treated PSCs exhibit excellent operational stability with a projected T80(the time where the device PCE reduces to 80%of its initial value)of 2143 h of operation at the maximum powering point under one sun illumination.

Kidney transplantation(KT)is the optimal form of renal replacement therapy for patients with end-stage renal ***,this health service is not available to all patients,especially in developing *** deceased donor KT programs are mostly absent,and the living donor KT centers are ***-center studies presenting experiences from developing countries usually report a variety of *** review addresses these challenges and the opposing strategies by reviewing the single-center experiences of developing *** financial challenges hamper the infrastructural and material availability,coverage of transplant costs,and qualification of medical *** sociocultural challenges influence organ donation,equity of beneficence,and regular follow-up *** interests and motives for transplantation may result from high medicolegal responsibilities in KT practice,intense potential psychosocial burdens,complex qualification protocols,and low productivity or compensation for KT *** medical literacy about KT advantages is prevalent among clinicians,patients,and the *** inefficient organizational and regulatory oversight is translated into inefficient healthcare systems,absent national KT programs and registries,uncoordinated job descriptions and qualification protocols,uncoordinated on-site investigations with regulatory constraints,and the prevalence of commercial KT *** challenges resulted in noticeable differences between KT services in developed and developing *** coping strategies can be summarized in two main mechanisms:The first mechanism is maximizing the available resources by increasing the rates of living kidney donation,promoting the expertise of medical personnel,reducing material consumption,and supporting the establishment and maintenance of KT *** latter warrants the expansion of the public sector and the elimination of non-ethical KT *** second mechanism is recru

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） were grafted with poly（N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone） and with poly（2- acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid） at different compositions by using y-rays technique as initiator. The MWCNTs, MWCNT-graft-PNVP, MWCNT-graft-PAMPS and MWCNTs-graft-P（NVP-co-AMPS） were characterized by fourier transform infra red （fTIR） spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, thermal gravimetric analysis （TGA）, elemental analysis and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy （HR-TEM）. The results indicated that the grafting processes of PNVP, PAMPS and P（NVP-co-AMPS） occurred on to the surfaces of MWCNTs without destroying the framework of MWCNTs. Tramadol hydrochloride （TH） was loaded as model drug and its release behavior was analyzed via various kinetic models. Release of the loaded TH was studied in simulated gastric fluid （SGf, pH = 1.2） and simulated intestinal fluid （SIf, pH = 7.4） at 37 ℃. Controlled release of TH from grafted MWCNTs was investigated. The outcome results suggest that the grafted MWCNTs could be used as a promising matrix candidate for oral drug delivery system by harmonization between the composition and pH level of the simulated biological fluids.

BACKGROUND Chronic hepatitis C(CHC)is a health burden with consequent morbidity and *** biopsy is the gold standard for evaluating fibrosis and assessing disease severity and prognostic purposes *** altern-atives for liver biopsy such as transient elastography(TE)and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(DW-MRI)are critical *** To evaluate TE and DW-MRI as noninvasive tools for predicting liver fibrosis in children with *** This prospective cross-sectional study initially recruited 100 children with CHC virus ***-four children completed the full set of investigations including liver stiffness measurement(LSM)using TE and measurement of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)of the liver and spleen using *** biopsies were evaluated for fibrosis using Ishak scoring *** and liver and spleen ADC were compared in different fibrosis stages and correlation analysis was performed with histopathological findings and other laboratory *** Most patients had moderate fibrosis(73.5%)while 26.5%had mild *** had severe fibrosis or *** majority(68.8%)had mild activity,while only 7.8%had moderate *** scores had a significant direct correlation with LSM(P=0.008)and were negatively correlated with both liver and spleen ADC but with no statistical significance(P=0.086 and P=0.145,respectively).Similarly,histopatho-logical activity correlated significantly with LSM(P=0.002)but not with liver or spleen ADC(P=0.84 and 0.98 respectively).LSM and liver ADC were able to significantly discriminate f3 from lower fibrosis stages(area under the curve=0.700 and 0.747,respectively)with a better performance of liver *** TE and liver ADC were helpful in predicting significant fibrosis in children with chronic hepatitis C virus infection with a better performance of liver ADC.

Double base propellant suffers from lack of chemical stability; this could result in self ignition during storing. Modified double base(MDB) propellant based on stoichiometric binary mixture of oxidizermetal fuel(Ammonium perchlorate/Aluminum), and energetic nitramines(HMX) offered enhanced thrust as well as combustion characteristics. This study is devoted to evaluate the impact of such energetic additives on thermal behavior, chemical stability, and shelf life. Extruded MDB formulations were manufactured by extrusion process. Artificial aging at 80℃ for 28 days was conducted. Shelf life assessment was performed using Van't Hoff's equation. Quantification of evolved NOxgases with aging time was performed using quantitative stability tests. MDB formulation based on HMX demonstrated extended service life of 16 years compared with(AP/Al)-MDB which demonstrated 9 years. This finding was ascribed to the reactivity of AP with nitroglycerin with the formation of perchloric acid. Thermal behavior of aged MDB, exhibited an increase in heat released with time; this was ascribed to the autocatalytic thermal degradation during artificial aging. The increase in released heat by 31% was found to be equivalent to evolved NOx gases of 6.2 cm^3/5 g and 2.5 cm^3/1 g for Bergmann-Junk test, and Vacuum stability test respectively. This manuscript shaded the light on a novel approach to quantify evolved NOx gases to heat released with aging time. MDB based on HMX offered balanced ballistic performance,chemical stability, and service life.

Aim: To determine the frequency of genetic deletions within the azoospermia factors in Egyptian infertile males. Methods: The Yq microdeletions in 33 infertile males with undetectable chromosomal anomalies were examined by mutiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Deletions were confirmed using single PCR amplifications. Results: four out of the total 33 (12 %) men had Yq11 microdeletions, thus supporting the average reported figures in other populations. Three of those 4 cases had single short tandem sequence deletions with discrete histological findings of their testes. Single sY272 deletion within AZfc was associated with Sertoli cell only syndrome, whereas a patient with isolated sY84 deletion within AZfa had immature testicular structure. The remaining case had a large deletion in AZfa-c and short stature. Conclusion: The present study supports the hypothesis that the Yqn encompasses genetic determinants of stature besides genes controlling spermatogenesis.

A novel simple, sensitive, rapid, direct, and spectrophotometry-based procedure was investigated to determine Th(IV) at trace amounts. The new method is based on Th(IV) chelation with 3,6-dichloro-2,5-dihydroxy-l,4-benzoquinone(DDBQ). The reagent reacts with Th(IV) in 0.1 M HCl to form an orange 1:2 complex. The stability constant value is 6.62×10~4 for the Th(IV)complex. The Th(IV)-DDBQ obtained shows one peak with a maximum at about 346 nm. The chelate forms immediately and the absorbance remains stable for over24 h. Beer's law was obeyed in the concentration range0–10 μg mL^(-1). The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity were 4.4×10~4 L mol^(-1)cm^(-1) and 0.0053 μg cm^(-2), respectively. Different analytical parameters were tested in detail. Interfering ion(cations and anions) effects were tested. Methods for Th(IV) determination by second and third-derivative spectrophotometry were also introduced at about 344 and 341 nm, respectively. These two derivative orders offer the feature of sensitivity without the necessity for solvent extraction,heating, or pre-concentration steps. finally, the methods were successfully utilized for Th(IV) determination in monazite, environmental water, and wastewater samples.
