Gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors treated with high dose octreotide-LAR:A systematic literature review

Interchangeability of corneal curvature and asphericity measurements provided by three different devices

AIM: To evaluate the interchangeability of keratometric and asphericity measurements provided by three measurement systems based on different optical ***: A total of 40 eyes of 40 patients with a mean age of 34.1 y were included. In all cases, a corneal curvature analysis was performed with IOL-Master(IOLM), iDesign 2(ID2), and Sirius systems(SIR). Differences between instruments for flattest(K1) and steepest(K2) keratometric readings, as well as for magnitude and axis of corneal astigmatism were analyzed. Likewise, differences in asphericity(Q) between SIR and ID2 were also evaluated. RESULTS: Mean differences between devices for K1 were 0.20±0.21(pp=0.046) and-0.32±0.36 D(pparisons IOLM-SIR, IOLM-ID2 and SIR-ID2, respectively. The ranges of agreement for these comparisons between instruments were 0.41, 0.70, and 0.70 D. For K2, mean differences were 0.31±0.33(pp=0.265) and-0.39±0.38 D(pp=0.011; 0.55 D, p=0.386; 0.43 D, p=0.05). In contrast, ranges of agreement were clinically relevant for astigmatic axis(26.68o, 33.83o and 18.37o, p≥0.121) and for Q between SIR and ID2(0.16, ppower, astigmatic axis and asphericity measurements provideby the three systems evaluated cannot be considered as interchangeable, whereas measurements of corneal astigmatism obtained with SIR and ID2 can be considered as interchangeable for clinical purposes.

Cytoplasmic dynein-2： from molecules to human diseases

The dynein motor protein family is involved in a wide variety of functions in eukaryotic cells. The axonemal dynein class and cytoplasmic dynein-1 subclass have been well characterized. However, the cytoplasmic dynein-2 subclass of the family has only recently begun to be understood. We describe the entire dynein family but focus on cytoplasmic dynein-2. Dynein-2 consists of a heavy, an intermediate, a light intermediate, and a light chain. The complex appears to function primarily as the retrograde motor for intraflagellar transport. This process is important for the formation and maintenance of cilia and flagella. Additionally, dynein-2 has roles in the control of ciliary length and in non-ciliary functions. Mutations in the human dynein-2 heavy chain lead to cilia-related diseases.

phosphorus release from phosphate rock and iron phosphate by low-molecular-weight organic acids

Low-molecular-weight(LMW) organic acids widely exist in soils, particularly in the rhizosphere. A series of batch experiments were carried out to investigate the phosphorus release from rock phosphate and iron phosphate by low-molecular-weight organic acids. Results showed that citric acid had the highest capacity to solubilize p from both rock and iron phosphate. p solubilization from rock phosphate and iron phosphate resulted in net proton consumption. p release from rock phosphate was positively correlated with the p K _a values. p release from iron phosphate was positively correlated with Fe-organic acid stability constants except for aromatic acids, but was not correlated with p K _a. Increase in the concentrations of organic acids enhanced p solubilization from both rock and iron phosphate almost linearly. Addition of phenolic compounds further increased the p release from iron phosphate. Initial solution pH had much more substantial effect on p release from rock phosphate than from iron phosphate.

目的探讨补体系统相关因子在HIV/AIDS患者中及其与HIV/AIDS湿热内蕴证侯的表达特征。方法共纳入2023年3-5月于广西壮族自治区某地区就诊的HIV/AIDS患者(简称HIV组),其中包括HIV/AIDS湿热内蕴证患者组(简称HIVsr组)与HIV/AIDS无证可辨患者组(简称HIVwz组)及同期在门诊进行体检的健康对照组。收集其基本信息并采集抗凝血液,应用流式细胞术检测T细胞亚群数量,酶联免疫吸附试验检测补体相关因子血浆表达水平,对数据进行统计分析。结果共纳入HIV组45例,其中包括HIVsr组30例与HIVwz组15例,与健康对照组15例。免疫指标对比中,HIVsr组与健康对照组相比TH/TS表达下降(pp2、MBL等12个因子表达均下降(ppp<0.05),多元线性回归分析显示C3aR是量表积分的影响因素。结论补体系统中经典及凝集素通路参与HIV/AIDS患者病理过程,且HIV/AIDS湿热内蕴证患者的证候生物学基础与经典通路相关。C3aR对临床诊断HIV/AIDS湿热内蕴证患者有一定鉴别价值。

Anomaly detection on displacement rates and deformation pattern features using tree-based algorithm in Japan and Indonesia

Research on strain anomalies and large earthquakes based on temporal and spatial crustal activities has been rapidly growing due to data availability, especially in Japan and Indonesia. However, many research works used local-scale case studies that focused on a specific earthquake characteristic using knowledgedriven techniques, such as crustal deformation analysis. In this study, a data-driven-based analysis is used to detect anomalies using displacement rates and deformation pattern features extracted from daily global navigation satellite system(GNSS) data using a machine learning algorithm. The GNSS data with188 and 1181 continuously operating reference stations from Indonesia and Japan, respectively, are used to identify the anomaly of recent major earthquakes in the last two decades. Feature displacement rates and deformation patterns are processed in several window times with 2560 experiment scenarios to produce the best detection using tree-based algorithms. Tree-based algorithms with a single estimator(decision tree), ensemble bagging(bagging, random forest and Extra Trees), and ensemble boosting(AdaBoost, gradient boosting, LGBM, and XGB) are applied in the study. The experiment test using realtime scenario GNSSdailydatareveals high F1-scores and accuracy for anomaly detection using slope windowing 365 and 730 days of 91-day displacement rates and then 7-day deformation pattern features in tree-based algorithms. The results show the potential for medium-term anomaly detection using GNSS data without the need for multiple vulnerability assessments.
