Wheat is one of the most important cereals in the world, serving as a staple for millions globally. In the wake of the geopolitical crisis between Russia and Ukraine, it has become incumbent for many countries to invest in wheat production. Improving cropping systems for wheat production is paramount. Intercropping cereals with legumes has tremendous advantages. therefore, this study was designed to optimize wheat production by intercropping it with soybean at different densities. Between March and August 2023, a randomized complete block design trial was conducted in Bambili, North West of Cameroon with treatments t1 (wheat monocrop at 200,000 plants ha−1), t2 (soybean monocrop at 250,000 plants ha−1), t3 (200,000 wheat and 125,000 soybean ha−1), t4 (100,000 wheat and 250,000 soybean ha−1), t5 (200,000 wheat and 250,000 soybean ha−1) and t6 (100,000 wheat and 125,000 soybean ha−1). Results revealed.t.at growth parameters of wheat were not significantly influenced by monocrop or intercrop. the yield of wheat was significantly higher in the monocrop than the intercrop treatments, with slight variation amongst the intercrop treatments. Soybean yield was higher in the monocrop than in the intercrop, with no variations amongst the intercrop treatments. Only the land equivalence ratio (LER) for t5 was greater than 1.0. the competitive ratio for t5 was 0.54 for wheat and 1.90 for soybean, comparatively lower than the other monocrop treatments. Intercropping wheat and soybean at 200,000:250,000 ratio is recommended.

In the framework of the 3-3-1 model with neutral leptons,we investigate lepton-flavor-violating sources based on the Higgs mass spectrum,which has two neutral Higgs identified with the corresponding ones of the two-Higgs-doublet *** note that at the 13teV scale of the LHC,the parameter space regions satisfy the experimental limits of e_(i)→e_(j)γ*** regions depend heavily on the mixing of exotic leptons but are predicted to have large h_(1)^(0)→μτ*** also show that Br(h_(1)^(0)→μτ)can reach a value of 10^(-4).

Functionally gradient/graded materials （FGMs）, an emerging new class of materials, are the outcome of the recent innovative concepts in materials technology. FGMs are in their early stages of evolution and expected to have a strong impact on the design and development of new components and structures with better performance. FGMs exhibit gradual transitions in the microstructure and/or the composition in a specific direction, the presence of which leads to variation in the functional performance within a part. the presence of gradual transitions in material composition in FGMs can reduce or eliminate the deleterious stress concentrations and result in a wide gradation of physical and/or chemical properties within the material. Functionally graded metal-ceramic composites are also getting the attention of the researchers. Among the fabrication routes for FGMs such as chemical vapour deposition, physical vapour deposition, the sol-gel technique, plasma spraying, molten metal infiltration, self propagating high temperature synthesis, spray forming, centrifugal casting, etc., the ones based on solidification route are preferred for FGMs because of their economics and capability to make large size products. the present paper discusses and compares various solidification processing tech- niques available for the fabrication of functionally gradient metals and metal-ceramic composites and lists their properties and possible applications. the other processing methods are briefly described.

In this study,firstly,3-bromopropanenitrile(2a),ethyl bromoacetate(2b),and 2-bromoethan-1-amine(2c)were added to 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole(1)and symmetrically-connected N-heterocyclic carbenes(NHC)[(3a-3c)]were ***,the NHC precursor compounds were reacted with PdCl2 and Pd(Ⅱ)-NHC complexes[(4a—4c)]were *** synthesized NHC precursors(3a-3c)and Pd(Ⅱ)-NHC complexes(4a—4c)were characterized by different spectroscopic *** antibacterial activities of these products were measured against bacteria and fungus with the disc diffusion ***(Ⅱ)-NHC complexes had higher antibacterial activity than the NHC *** synthesized compounds showed antimicrobial activity with different properties from each *** vitro biological activities of salts and metal complexes on selected bacteria were determined by the broth dilution method based on Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.1,3-Bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)imidazolinium bromide and 3-(2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)-1-(3-aminopropyl)-^(1)H-imidazole-3-ium bromide had activity against Escherichia coli.

An indium antimonide based QWFEt（quantum well field effect transistor） with the gate length down to 50 nm has been designed and investigated for the first time for L-band radar applications at 230 GHz. QWFEts are designed at the high performance node of the International technology Road Map for Semiconductors（ItRS）requirements of drive current（Semiconductor Industry Association 2010）. the performance of the device is investigated using the SYNOPSYS CAd.t.ad） software. In Sb based QWFEt could be a promising device technology for very low power and ultra-high speed performance with 5–10 times low dC power dissipation.

Context: Pre-eclampsia and placental malaria, are two diseases that share pathophysiological similarities, such as placental ischemia, endothelial dysfunction and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Objective: the objective of our study was to investigate the association between placental malaria lesions and severe pre-eclampsia. Methodology: We conducted a prospective analytical cross-sectional study in two University Hospitals in the city of Yaounde (Yaounde Central Hospital and the Gynaecological Obstetrics and Paediatrics Hospital), and in the laboratory of the Centre Pasteur in Yaounde over an eight-month period (1st January 2021 – 1st September 2021). All patients with pre-eclampsia diagnosed according to the criteria of the International Society for the Study of Hypertension (ISSHP) and free of chronic metabolic or infectious pathology were included in this study. the patients were divided into two groups: group 1 (mild pre-eclampsia) and group 2: severe pre-eclampsia. Socio-demographic, clinical and histopathological characteristics specific to pre-eclampsia and placental malaria were investigated. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 23.0 software, Chi 2 was used to compare categorical variables, Student t-test was used to compare means, and logistic regression was used to assess the association between placental malaria lesions and PES. Results: the mean age of our study population was 29.93 ± 7.36 years versus 28.28 ± 7.18 years in patients with mild and severe pre-eclampsia respectively. Pre-eclampsia placental lesions (accelerated villous maturation, infarction) were significantly greater in patients with severe pre-eclampsia (p Conclusion: Placental malaria lesions were significantly associated with severe pre-eclampsia and increased the risk of developing severe pre-eclampsia placental lesions by a factor of 10.

this article makes the first attempt in assessing the influence of active constrained layer damping(ACLd)treatment towards precise control of frequency responses of functionally graded skew-magneto-electroelastic(FGSMEE)plates by employing finite element *** materials are functionally graded across the thickness of the plate in terms of modest power-law *** principal equations of motion of FGSMEE are derived via Hamilton’s principle and solved using condensation *** effect of ACLd patches are modelled by following the complex modulus approach(CMA).Additionally,distinctive emphasis is laid to evaluate the influence of geometrical skewness on the attenuation capabilities of the *** accuracy of the current analysis is corroborated with comparison of previous researches of similar ***,a complete parametric study is directed to understand the combined impacts of various factors like coupling fields,patch location,fiber orientation of piezoelectric patch in association with skew angle and power-law index.
