Morphology of zinc alloy layer,from zincate solution with zinc sulfate and zinc oxide respectively,together with the consequent deposit was observed with SEM and back scattering electron *** was applied to analyze the components of zinc alloy layer and the interface of high-Si aluminum alloy substrate-zinc ***,the surface morphology of the zincated aluminum alloy after immersing in 3.5% NaCl solution for 7 d,is observed and the corrosion rate was ***,tension test is conducted to quantify the adhesion between high-Si aluminum cast substrate and the *** results show that,the zinc oxide contained zincating solution with sodium potassium tartrate and sodium citrate is a better one in multi-metal zincating *** zinc alloy layer from this one gets stable performance,perfect adhesion with deposit,and good corrosion resistance.

CdS/α-Fe2O3 hierarchical nanostructures, where the CdS nanorods grow irregularly on the side surface of α-Fe2O3 nanorods, were synthesized via a three-step process. The diameters and lengths of CdS nanorods can be tuned by changing the ethylenediamine (EDA) and Cd ion concentrations. The magnetic investigations by superconducting quantum interference device indicate that the hierarchical nanostructures have an Morin transition at lower temperature (230 K) than that of the single bulk α-Fe2O3 materials (263 K). Importantly, the hierarchical nanostructures exhibit weakly ferromagnetic characteristics at 300 K. A sharp peak assigned to the surface trap induced emission are observed in room temperature PL spectra. Combining with the optoelectronic properties of CdS, the CdS/ α-Fe2O3 hierarchical nanostructures may be used as multi-functional materials for optoelectronic and magnetic devices.

The effects of the concentration of MS micro salts, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 3-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), proline and adenine on callus formation and somatic embryogenesis were investigated using orthogonal design with immature cotyledons of soybean. The results showed that the role of concentration of micro salts on frequency of callus formation and somatic embryogenesis were significant. MS medium supplemented with 2,4-D, NAA, proline and adenine could stimulate callus formation. The concentration of MS micro salts possessed obvious effects on somatic embryogenesis of *** category and concentration of the hormone needed were different among genotypes when embryogenesis were induced.

Phenylalanine hydroxylase is assumed to be a key enzyme in drosopterin metabolism, but direct in vivo evidence to support this hypothesis is still *** the present study, we found a new natural reces-sive purple eye mutant of Drosophila melanogaster, Hnbp, which was a 45-nt insertion mutant in the second exon of *** insertion resulted in a predicted protein with 15 additional amino acids as compared to the wild-type *** analysis of protein structure showed that the predicted mutant protein probably had two more β-sheets, which may cause instability of two α-helices near the catalytic centre of the enzyme in the Biopterin-Hydroxyl binding *** mutant showed eye color defect with decrease of mRNA level, as well as drosopterin content *** drosopterin defect could be fully rescued by expression of wild type Henna in the Hnbp background by GMR-GAL4 UAS-Henna/UAS-Henna:Hnbp/Hnbp transgenic *** taken together, it can be concluded that the mu-tation in Henna is responsible for drosopterin reduction in mutant Hnbp, which provides key in vivo evidence to support the hypothesis that Henna is involved in drosopterin synthesis.

Melanin plays an important role in protecting organisms from ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Therefore, it is possible that differently colored strains can show different sensitivities to UVR. In the present work, life span, fertility and courtship behavior of wild type (w), ebony (e) and yellow (y) strains of Drosophila melanogaster were studied to evaluate their sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV). Because a range of photo- toxic effects of UVR are mediated through generation of free radicals, levels of free radicals, lipid per- oxide (malondialdehyde, MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of three strains were examined to indicate their antioxidant defending ability and oxidative status. It was shown that w always had the highest lifespan and fertility not only in the control but also in UV-exposed groups. Moreover, lifespan and fertility of e were significantly higher (P0.05). MDA levels were increased in the UV dose-dependent manner (P=0.0495). In con- clusion, our results suggested that UVR can decrease life span and fertility of flies and do harm to courtship, which may be due to oxidative damage to flies tissues (e.g. central nervous system) induced by free radicals. w had the highest tolerance to UVR, which may be ascribed to its advantage of survival under the natural condition and at high level of SOD activity. This article proposes a new efficient raw signal simulator for the bistatic synthetic aperture radar （SAR） based on 2D fast Fourier transform （FFT） to deal with cases of both ideal trajectory and trajectory deviation. It begins with analyzing the geometric configuration and the range history of the bistatic SAR in side-looking and squint modes of ideal trajectory as well as trajectory deviation. Then a detailed and mathematical study is conducted on the equivalence relation of bistatic-to-monostatic applications （BTMA） in the case of ideal trajectory and trajectory deviation. Also a set of formulas are derived for the equivalence relation between bistatic SAR and monostatic SAR on some reasonable assumptions. Therefore, the application of the simulation method based on the 2D FFT for the monostatic SAR can be extended to the case of bistatic SAR. Finally, the simulation results prove the validity of this method. By comparing the efficiency of the proposed method with that of the time domain method, it is shown that the former is a few orders of magnitude higher.

The analysis of sophisticated interplays between cell cycle-dependent genes in a disease condition is one of the largely unexplored areas in modern tumor biology research. Many cell cycle-dependent genes are either oncogenes or suppressor genes, or are closely associated with the transition of a cell cycle. However, it is unclear how the complicated relationships between these cell cycle-dependent genes are, especially in cancers. Here, we sought to identify significant expression relationships between cell cycle-dependent genes by analyzing a HeLa microarray dataset using a local alignment algorithm and constructed a gene transcriptional network specific to the cancer by assembling these newly identified gene-gene relationships. We further characterized this global network by partitioning the whole network into several cell cycle phase-specific sub-networks. All generated networks exhibited the power-law node-degree distribution, and the average clustering coefficients of these networks were remarkably higher than those of pure scale-free networks, indicating a property of hierarchical modularity. Based on the known protein-protein interactions and Gene Ontology annotation data, the proteins encoded by cell cycle-dependent interacting genes tended to share the same biological functions or to be involved in the same biological processes, rather than interacting by physical means. Finally, we identified the hub genes related to cancer based on the topological importance that maintain the basic structure of cell cycle-dependent gene networks.
