Photonics integration of an optoelectronic oscillator(OEO)on a chip is attractive for fabricating low cost,compact,low power consumption,and highly reliable microwave sources,which has been demonstrated recently in silicon on insulator(SOI)and indium phosphide(InP)platforms at x-band around 8 *** we demonstrate the first integration of OEOs on the thin film lithium niobate(TFLN)platform,which has the advantages of lower Vπ,no chirp,wider frequency range,and less sensitivity to *** have successfully realized two different OEOs operating at Ka-band,with phase noises even lower than those of the x-band OEOs on SOI and InP *** is a fixed frequency OEO at 30 GHz realized by integrating a Mach–Zehnder modulator(MZM)with an add-drop microring resonator(MRR),and the other is a tunable frequency OEO at 20–35 GHz realized by integrating a phase modulator(PM)with a notch *** work marks the first step of using TFLN to fabricate integrated OEOs with high frequency,small size,low cost,wide range tunability,and potentially low phase noise.

Topological materials, which feature robust surface and/or edge states, have now been a research focus in condensed maTher physics. They represent a new class of materials exhibiting nontrivial topological phases,and provide a platform for exploring exotic transport phenomena, such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the quantum spin Hall effect. Recently, magnetic topological materials have attracted considerable interests due to the possibility to study the interplay between topological and magnetic *** particular, the quantum anomalous Hall and axion insulator phases can be realized in topological insulators with magnetic order. MnBi2Te4, as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator discovered, allows the examination of existing theoretical predictions; it has been extensively studied, and many new discoveries have been made. Here we review the progress made on MnBi2Te4from both experimental and theoretical aspects. The bulk crystal and magnetic structures are surveyed first, followed by a review of theoretical calculations and experimental probes on the band structure and surface states, and a discussion of various exotic phases that can be realized in MnBi2Te4. The properties of MnBi2Te4thin films and the corresponding transport studies are then reviewed, with an emphasis on the edge state transport. Possible future research directions in this field are also discussed.

A critical challenge to the commercialization of clean and high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell(SOFc)technology is the insuf-ficient stack lifespan caused by a variety of degradation mechanisms,which are associated with cell components and chemical *** components related degradation refers to thermal/chemical/electrochemical deterioration of cell materials under operating conditions,whereas the latter regards impurities in feedstocks of oxidant(air)and reductant(fuel).This article provides a thermodynamic perspective on the understanding of the impurities-induced degradation mechanisms in *** discussion focuses on using thermodynamic ana-lysis to elucidate poisoning mechanisms in cathodes by impurity species such as cr,cO_(2),H_(2)O,and SO_(2) and in the anode by species such as S(or H_(2)S),SiO_(2),and P_(2)(or PH_(3)).The author hopes the presented fundamental insights can provide a theoretical foundation for search-ing for better technical solutions to address the critical degradation challenges.

At present, industrial development is heavily dependent on traditional fossil energy, which has had an increasingly serious impact on the environment. clean and renewable energy has received extensive attention and its proportion in daily life has gradually increased. As a clean and renewable energy source that is not affected by changes in weather and seasons, geothermal energy has developed rapidly in recent years and has received increasing attention. According to reports, the total installed capacity of geothermal power generation in the world in 2020 was 15 950 MW-an increase of similar to 27% over 2015. At the end of 2019, the total installed capacity for global geothermal direct use was 107 727 MW-an increase of 52.0% compared with 2015; the total annual energy use was 1 020 887 TJ (283 580 GWh)-an increase of 72.3% over 2015. Through the investigation of geothermal power generation technology in recent years, the characteristics and shortcomings of various power generation methods are analysed. At the same time, this review analyzes the characteristics of geothermal energy and other renewable-energy (solar energy, water energy) coupling power generation, and analyzes the principles and characteristics of geothermal energy and various new-energy coupling power generation methods. Through investigation and analysis, this review provides a complete understanding of various geothermal power generation technologies and provides insights into the future development direction. The layer Hall effect describes electrons spontaneously deflected to opposite sides at different layers, which has been experimentally reported in the MnBi2Te4thin films under perpendicular electric fields. Here, we reveal a universal origin of the layer Hall effect in terms of the so-called hidden Berry curvature, as well as material design principles. Hence, it gives rise to zero Berry curvature in momentum space but non-zero layer-locked hidden Berry curvature in real space. We show that, compared to that of a trivial insulator, the layer Hall effect is significantly enhanced in antiferromagnetic topological insulators. Our universal picture provides a paradigm for revealing the hidden physics as a result of the interplay between the global and local symmetries, and can be generalized in various scenarios.

Objective: Psoriasis is associated with a high prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS), and patients with concomitant psoriasis and MS are more severely affected and less responsive to treatment. However, the molecular mechanisms behind these effects are unknown. Recent studies have shown that leptin may serve as a molecular link between psoriasis and MS, suggesting that high leptin concentrations may exacerbate psoriasis. However, the molecular mechanism of this effect is still unclear. We aimed to investigate the effect of leptin on autophagy in patients with psoriasis. Methods: From January 2021 to June 2022 in PLA General Hospital, we enrolled 51 patients with psoriasis, including 21 patients with MS and 30 without MS, and 30 healthy controls who had undergone nevus surgery. We measured the epidermal leptin, P62, and Lc3B concentrations of patients by immunohistochemistry, and measured the serum leptin concentration by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. We then performed correlation analyses to compare these proteins' concentrations between patients with concomitant psoriasis and MS, patients with psoriasis alone, and healthy control groups. Additionally, we performed western blotting after in vitro culture of HacaT cells with different concentrations of leptin and measured the expression levels of the autophagy markers Beclin1, Lc3B, and P62; the differentiation markers K10, K16, and K17; and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway-related proteins of Hacat cells. Next, we transfected ATG5 into HacaT cells to revert autophagy and used the specific PI3K inhibitor LY294002 to block PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling. The expression levels of K10, K16, and K17 of Hacat cells were again measured. One-way analysis of variance was used for the comparison of means of multiple samples, and LSD-t post hoc test was used for comparison between the 2 groups. Electric arc furnace(EAF)dust is an important secondary resource containing metals,such as zinc(Zn)and iron(Fe).Recover-ing Zn from EAF dust can contribute to resource recycling and reduce environmental ***,the high chemical stability of ZnFe_(2)O_(4)in EAF dust poses challenges to Zn *** address this issue,a facile approach that involves oxygen-assisted chlorination using molten Mgcl_(2)is *** work focused on elucidating the role of O2 in the reaction between ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and molten Mgcl_(2).The results demonstrate that Mgcl_(2)effectively broke down the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)structure,and the high O2 atmosphere considerably promoted the sep-aration of Zn from other components in the form of Zncl_(2).The presence of O2 facilitated the formation of MgFe_(2)O_(4),which stabilized Fe and prevented its ***,the excessive use of Mgcl_(2)resulted in increased evaporation loss,and high temperatures pro-moted the rapid separation of *** on these findings,we successfully extracted Zncl_(2)-enriched volatiles from practical EAF dust through oxygen-assisted *** optimized conditions,this method achieved exceptional Zn chlorination percentage of over 97%within a short period,while Fe chlorination remained below 1%.The resulting volatiles contained 85wt%of Zncl_(2),which can be further processed to produce metallic *** findings offer guidance for the selective recovery of valuable metals,particularly from solid wastes such as EAF dust.
