Tectonic significance of dykes in the Sarnu-Dandali alkaline complex,Rajasthan, northwestern Deccan Traps

Whether swarms of preferentially oriented dykes are controlled by regional stress fields, or passively exploit basement structural fabric, is a much debated question, with support for either scenario in individual case studies. The Sarnu-Dandali alkaline complex, near the northwestern limit of the Deccan Traps continental flood basalt province, contains mafic to felsic alkaline volcano-plutonic rocks and carbonatites. The complex is situated near the northern end of the 600 km long, NNWe SSE-trending Barmer-Cambay rift. Mafic enclave swarms in the syenites suggest synplutonic mafic dykes injected into a largely liquid felsic magma chamber. Later coherent dykes in the complex, of all compositions and sizes,dominantly strike NNWe SSE, parallel to the Barmer-Cambay rift. The rift formed during two distinct episodes of extension, NWe SE in the early Cretaceous and NEe SW in the late Cretaceous. Control of the southern Indian Dharwar structural fabric on the rift trend, as speculated previously, is untenable,whereas the regional Precambrian basement trends（Aravalli and Malani） run NEe SW and NNEe *** therefore suggest that the small-scale Sarnu-Dandali dykes and the much larger-scale BarmerCambay rift were not controlled by basement structure, but related to contemporaneous, late Cretaceous regional ENEe WSW extension, for which there is varied independent evidence.

Since direct-acting antiviral agents(DAAs)have been introduced into hepatitis C virus treatment,the sustained viral response(SVR)rate has significantly increased to more than 95%.Scientific evidence supports the idea that SVR after interferon therapy has beneficial effects related to cirrhosis progression,resulting in a reduction in the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,a significant debate exists related to DAA impact on HCC *** reviewed the current literature highlighting the controversial data related to DAA association with de novo HCC occurrence or recurrence and possible pathophysiology of HCC related to *** a review of the published literature,we believe that the current evidence does not confirm or repudiate a higher rate of de novo HCC occurrence or recurrence related to DAA *** trials are needed to determine if there is an association between HCC occurrence or recurrence and DAA or if it is related to preexisting liver cirrhosis.

Aim:To determine whether a low dose of nicotinamide(NA)therapy for pediatricpatients with type 1 diabetes,initiated within the first 24 h of diagnosis,prolongsthe"honeymoon"period and lowers their insulin ***:Allchildren(n=66)with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes admitted to Salmaniya MedicalComplex between 1998 and 2000,received NA 1-2 mg/kg per day,in addition tosc insulin *** patients were followed for 24 months(NA group).Findings inthis group were compared with records from a similarly diagnosed control group(n=37),who were admitted to the same hospital between 1995 and 1997 and did notreceive NA *** insulin dose per kg bodyweight required at baselineand at 3-monthly intervals up to 2 years after diagnosis was ***:At baseline,the two groups did not differ with respect to age,ethnic background,weight,insulin dose per kg bodyweight or glucose levels on ***,NA group had lower insulin requirements than control group at each 3-monthinterval up to 2 years after ***:Our study results suggest thateven low doses of oral NA given to children with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetesmay reduce insulin requirements and prolong the"honeymoon"period.

2-Amino-2-chromenes are class of heterocycles that posses considerable interest as pigments, cosmetics, potential agrochemicals and being the main constituents of many natural products. Although, they are generally prepared either under conventional heating, benign reagents or very recently, a three component condensation in polyethylene glycol-water in the presence of nanosized magnesium oxide, most of these methods require prolonged reaction time, reagents in stoichiometric amounts and generate moderate yields of products. Microwave technique performs a better yield in a short reaction time （85-94%; 5-8 min）. Also, three-component one step reaction is of great interest for cost savings from the point of raw materials, energy and time, A combination between both techniques will be attractive for researchers in that field.

Since its initial description, the pathogenesis of the columnar-lined esophagus （CLE） has been surrounded by many controversies. The first controversy is related to the existence of the condition itself. The second controversy centers on whether the CLE is a congenital or an acquired condition. In this article, we review the congenital and acquired theories of development of CLE and discuss the various factors in acquisition of CLE. The bulk of evidence in the literature suggests that CLE is an acquired condition.

We report the current-voltage （I-V） characteristics of the Schottky diode （Au/n-InP） as a function of temperature. The SILVACO-TCAD numerical simulator is used to calculate the I-V characteristic in the tem- perature range of 280-400 K. This is to study the effect of temperature on the I-V curves and assess the main parameters that characterize the Schottky diode such as the ideality factor, the height of the barrier and the series resistance. The I-V characteristics are analyzed on the basis of standard thermionic emission （TE） theory and the inhomogeneous barrier heights （BHs） assuming a Gaussian distribution. It is shown that the ideality factor de- creases while the barrier height increases with increasing temperature, on the basis of TE theory. Furthermore, the homogeneous BH value of approximately 0.524 eV for the device has been obtained from the linear relationship between the temperature-dependent experimentally effective BHs and ideality factors. The modified Richardson plot, according to the inhomogeneity of the BHs, has a good linearity over the temperature range. The evaluated Richardson constant A^＊ was 10.32 A·cm^-2·K^-2, which is close to the theoretical value of 9.4 A·cm^-2·K^-2 for nInP. The temperature dependence of the I-V characteristics of the Au/n-InP Schottky diode have been successfully explained on the basis of the thermionic emission （TE） mechanism with a Gaussian distribution of the Schottky barrier heights （SBHs）. Simulated I-V characteristics are in good agreement with the measurements [Korucu D, Mammadov T S. J Optoelectronics Advanced Materials, 2012, 14：41 ]. The barrier height obtained using Gaussian Schottky barrier distribution is 0.52 eV, which is about half the band gap of InP.

In this paper, an online optimal distributed learning algorithm is proposed to solve leader-synchronization problem of nonlinear multi-agent differential graphical games. Each player approximates its optimal control policy using a single-network approximate dynamic programming(ADP) where only one critic neural network(NN) is employed instead of typical actorcritic structure composed of two NNs. The proposed distributed weight tuning laws for critic NNs guarantee stability in the sense of uniform ultimate boundedness(UUB) and convergence of control policies to the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, by introducing novel distributed local operators in weight tuning laws, there is no more requirement for initial stabilizing control policies. Furthermore, the overall closed-loop system stability is guaranteed by Lyapunov stability analysis. Finally, Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This research aims to understand the fractional order dynamics of the deadly Nipah virus(NiV)*** focus on using piecewise derivatives in the context of classical and singular kernels of power operators in the Caputo sense to investigate the crossover behavior of the considered dynamical *** establish some qualitative results about the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the proposed *** utilizing the Newtonian polynomials interpolation technique,we recall a powerful algorithm to interpret the numerical findings for the aforesaid ***,we remark that the said viral infection is caused by an RNA type virus which can transmit from animals and also from an infected person to *** bats which are also known as flying foxes are one of the sources of transmission of NiV *** in this work,we investigate its transmission mechanism through some new concepts of fractional calculus for further analysis and *** present the approximate results for different compartments using different fractional *** using the piecewise derivative concept,we detect the crossover ormulti-steps behavior in the transmission dynamics of the mentioned ***,the considered form of the derivative is used to deal with problems exhibiting crossover behaviors.
