Adaptation of micr.bial communities to anthr.pogenic str.ss has often been shown to involve r.duction in diver.ity and in selective enr.chment of species capable of sur.ival. The gut bacter.al community of pollution-str.ssed polychaete Neanthes chilkaensis was studied using cultivation dependent and independent appr.aches. The possible r.le of the gut bacter.a in r.mediation of pollutants was also studied. The analysis of clones cover.ng about 90% of the 16S r.NA clone libr.r. indicated that the major.ty of the taxa in the libr.r. r.semble GenBank entr.es of ar.matic- hydr.car.on pollutant degr.der.. Among them Fir.icutes and Actinobacter.a wer. dominant. About 84% of the gut isolates wer. capable of utilizing PAHs as sole car.on sour.es while 20% of isolates wer. found to pr.duce biosur.actants. Pr.duction of sur.actant along with capability to utilize PAH and other.pollutants indicate the r.le of the gut community in alleviating the pollution str.ss. The r.sults also show the potential sour.e of micr.or.anisms with industr.al and envir.nmental application.

The complexes of r.r. ear.h elements with 1,2-diphenyl-4-butyl-3,5-Pyr.zolidinedione （PBH, phenylbutazone） wer. synthesized and char.cter.zed by elemental analysis, molar.conductance, Ir. UV-Vis, EPr.and magnetic moment measur.ments. Based on these studies the complexes wer. for.ulated as [Ln（PB）3（H2O）2].nH2O, wher. Ln=Eu（III）, Gd（III）, Tb（III）, Dy（III） and Er.III）. Fr.m Ir.spectr., it was found that PBH acted as a bidentate mono-ionic ligand coor.inating thr.ugh two car.onyl oxygen of the pyr.zolidinedione r.ng. The ther.al analysis of all the complexes was car.ied out at a heating r.te of 10 oC/min. The kinetic aspects of the complexes wer. evaluated. The nega-tive entr.py value of the complexes indicated a mor. or.er.d state for.the activated complexes. The photoluminescence pr.per.y of Tb（III） complex was investigated. It showed all the char.cter.stic emission peaks of Tb^3＋ with a life time of 0.98914 ms.

Lanthanide（III） complexes of 4-butyl-1-（4-hydr.xyphenyl）-2-phenyl-3,5-pyr.zolidinedione （OPB） wer. pr.par.d by ho-mogeneous pr.cipitation. The solid complexes wer. char.cter.zed by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility data, molar.conduc-tivity measur.ments and Ir. UV-Vis, mass, 1H NMr.and 13C NMr.spectr.l methods. The ther.al decomposition of the complexes under.static air.atmospher. was investigated by simultaneous TG/DTG at a heating r.te of 10 °C/min. The final decomposition pr.d-ucts wer. found to be metal oxides. The spectr.scopic data suggested that OPB acted as a bidentate, mono-ionic ligand coor.inating thr.ugh two car.onyl oxygens of the pyr.zolidinedione r.ng. The kinetic and ther.odynamic par.meter. such as activation ener.y, pr.-exponential factor.and entr.py of activation for.each step of the decomposition r.actions wer. evaluated using Coats-r.dfer. and MacCallum-Tanner.equations. The negative entr.py values of the complexes indicated that the activated complexes had a mor. or.der.d str.ctur. than the r.actant and that the r.actions wer. slower.than nor.al. Investigations of antimicr.bial activity of the com-pounds wer. car.ied out by the disk diffusion technique.

In r.cent year.,deep lear.ing gained pr.lifer.ting popular.ty in the cyber.ecur.ty application domain,since when being compar.d to tr.ditional machine lear.ing methods,it usually involves less human effor.s,pr.duces better.r.sults,and pr.vides better.***,the imbalanced data issue is ver. common in cyber.ecur.ty,which can substantially deter.or.te the per.or.ance of the deep lear.ing *** paper.intr.duces a tr.nsfer.lear.ing based method to tackle the imbalanced data issue in cyber.ecur.ty using r.tur.-or.ented pr.gr.mming payload detection as a case *** achieved 0.0290 aver.ge false positive r.te,0.9705 aver.ge F1 scor. and 0.9521 aver.ge detection r.te on 3 differ.nt tar.et domain pr.gr.ms using 2 differ.nt sour.e domain pr.gr.ms,with 0 benign tr.ining data sample in the tar.et *** per.or.ance impr.vement compar.d to the baseline is a tr.de-off between false positive r.te and detection *** our.appr.ach,the total number.of false positives is r.duced by 23.16%,and as a tr.de-off,the number.of detected malicious samples decr.ases by 0.68%.

A computational investigation of the mean flow field of tur.ulent r.ctangular.jets issuing into a nar.ow channel cr.ssflow is pr.sented. The length of the jet slot spans mor. than 55% of the cr.ssflow channel bed, leaving a small clear.nce between the jet edge and sidewalls. A finite volume code employing the standar. k-εmodel is used to pr.dict the mean, thr.e-dimensional flow field. The mean flow field is investigated for.two velocity r.tios （6 and 9）. Impor.ant flow featur.s, such as the for.ation of differ.nt vor.ical str.ctur.s and their.char.cter.stics owing to differ.nt values of the velocity r.tio, ar. discussed. Some pr.dicted r.sults ar. compar.d with the exper.mental data r.por.ed in the liter.tur.. The pr.dicted mean and tur.ulent flow pr.per.ies ar. shown to be in good agr.ement with the exper.mental data.

Global concer. for.depleting fossil fuel r.ser.es have been compelling for.evolving power.gener.tion options using r.newable ener.y sour.es. The solar.ener.y happens to be a potential sour.e for.r.nning the power.plants among r.newable ener.y sour.es. Integr.ted Solar.Combined Cycle(ISCC) power.plants have gained popular.ty among the ther.al power.plants. Tr.ditional ISCC power.plants use Dir.ct Steam Gener.tion(DSG) appr.ach. However. with the DSG method, the ISCC plant’s over.ll ther.al efficiency does not incr.ase significantly due to var.ations in the availability of solar.ener.y. Ther.al Ener.y Stor.ge(TES) systems when integr.ted into the solar.cycle can addr.ss such issues r.lated to ener.y efficiency, pr.cess flexibility, r.ducing inter.ittency dur.ng non-solar.hour.. This r.view wor. focuses and discusses the developments in var.ous components of the ISCC system including its major.cycles and r.lated par.meter.. The main focus is on CSP technologies, Heat Tr.nsfer.Fluid(HTF), and Phase Change Mater.al(PCM) used for.ther.al ener.y stor.ge. Fur.her. study includes heat enhancement methods with HTF and latent heat stor.ge system. This study will be beneficial to the power.plant pr.fessionals intending to modify the solar.based Combined Cycle Power.Plant(CCPP) and to r.tr.fit the existing Natur.l Gas Combined Cycle(NGCC) plant with the advanced solar.cycle.

A multigr.d-assisted solver.tbr.the thr.e-dimensional time-dependent incompr.ssible Navier.Stokes equations on gr.ded Car.esian meshes is developed. The spatial accur.cy is thir.-or.er.for.the convective ter.s and four.h-or.er.for.the viscous ter.s, and a fr.ctional-step str.tegy ensur.s second-or.er.time accur.cy. To achieve good time-wise efficiency a multigr.d technique is used to solve the highly time-consuming pr.ssur.-Poisson equation that r.quir.s to be solved at ever. time step. The speed-up achieved by multigr.d is shown in tabular.for.. The per.or.ance and accur.cy of the code ar. fir.t ascer.ained by computing the flow in a single-sided lid-dr.ven cubic cavity with good gr.d-economy and compar.ng the r.sults available in the liter.tur.. The code, thus validated, is then applied to a new test pr.blem we pr.pose and var.ous tr.nsient and asymptotically obtained steady-state r.sults ar. pr.sented. Given the car. taken to establish the cr.dibility of the code and the good spatio-tempor.l accur.cy of the discr.tization, these r.sults ar. accur.te and may be used for.ascer.aining the per.or.ance of any computational algor.thm applied to this test pr.blem.
