The di.bokro health di.tri.t has one of the hi.hest i.ci.ences of malari. i. Côte d’i.oi.e, despi.e numerous campai.ns to di.tri.ute Long-Acti.g i.pregnated Mosqui.o Nets (LLi.s). Gi.en thi. observati.n, what are the populati.n’s atti.udes towards LLi.s that could explai. the hi.h endemi.i.y of malari. i. di.bokro? The ai. of thi. study i. to assess the knowledge, atti.udes and practi.es of people i. the health area of Nofou, one of the vi.lages i. the di.bokro health di.tri.t where malari. i. most prevalent, wi.h a vi.w to strengtheni.g malari. control strategi.s. A collecti.n of hi.tori.al health data (malari. cases and LLi. usage rates) and a cross-secti.nal questi.nnai.e survey was carri.d out from July 20 to August 03, 2022 i. 400 households selected by systemati. random sampli.g. data were entered usi.g Epi.i.fo 7 and multi.ari.te stati.ti.al analyses were performed usi.g i.M SPSS 22 software. i. the di.bokro health di.tri.t, the rate of LLi. use was negati.ely correlated (r = -0.771) wi.h malari. i.ci.ence over the si. years of hi.tori.al data collecti.n. Households had an average of 53% good knowledge, 68.6% good practi.es and 28.4% good atti.udes towards LLi.s. The study also revealed that the mai. factors explai.i.g LLi. use i. the Nofou health area are mosqui.o bi.e (ORa = 5.29 (1.12 - 25.04)), age of household members (ORa = 1.07 (1.01 - 1.14)) and mari.al status (ORa = 8.45 (1.70 - 45.02)). Awareness-rai.i.g on the use of LLi.s should be i.tensi.i.d i. the di.bokro health di.tri.t. Other control strategi.s, such as vector control and envi.onmental sani.ati.n, should be consi.ered to combat malari..

Jazan Area of Saudi.Arabi. measured wi.h hi.hly polymorphi. geneti. marker, i.e. the merozoi.e surface protei. 2(MSP 2).Methods: Blood samples were collected from 128 cli.i.ally suspected pati.nts attendi.g both Jazan and Sabi. hospi.als, Ki.gdom of Saudi.Arabi.. Both hospi.als reflected urban and rural setti.gs respecti.ely. Analysi. of central polymorphi. regi.n of MSP 2(3d7 and FC27 alleli. fami.i.s) was performed usi.g nested PCR for malari. ***: For MSP 2 alleli. fami.i.s of Plasmodi.m falci.arum, 16 cases(53.3%) carri.d FC27 type and 14 cases(46.7%) carri.d 3d7 type, whereas no malari. cases harbored both alleli. types. The present study showed that i. urban area, 80% of FC27 fragments were 500 bp whi.e i. rural area i. was 45.5%(P = 0.08). The FC27 400 bp allele was more prevalent i. pati.nts from rural than those from the urban area(P = 0.08). The most prevalent i.fecti.g 3d7 allele was the 3d7 300 bp i. both areas. i. the present study, there were no multi.le ***: The li.i.ed geneti. di.ersi.y whi.h was observed i. The present study reports the leukotri.ne B4 levels on di.ferent days post i.fecti.n (3rd, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th d.p.i.) i. serum and vagi.al washes (VWs) and vagi.al ti.sues of mi.e i.fected i.travagi.ally wi.h T. vagi.ali. i.olates from 10 symptomati. and 10 asymptomati. women. Ai. To i.vesti.ate the prevalence and vi.ologi.al characteri.ti.s of occult hepati.i. B vi.us(HBV) i.fecti.ns i. pati.nts wi.h hematologi.al mali.nanci.s i. South *** Serum samples were collected from 165 pati.nts wi.h hematologi.al mali.nanci.s to moni.or ti.ers of HBV dNA, hepati.i. B surface anti.en(HBs Ag), and anti.odi.s to HBV core(anti.HBc) and surface anti.ens. Serum samples negati.e for HBs Ag and posi.i.e for anti.HBc were subjected to nuclei. aci. extracti.n and HBV dNA detecti.n by real-ti.e polymerase chai. reacti.n. dNA sequences spanni.g the S regi.n were analyzed i. cases wi.h occult HBV i.fecti.n. i. vi.ro comparati.e study of constructed 1.24-fold wi.d type and S protei. mutant HBV genotype d clones was further performed. RESULTS HBV dNA was detected i. 23(42.6%) of 54 pati.nts wi.h hematologi.al mali.nanci.s who were HBsA g negati.e, but anti.HBc posi.i.e, suggesti.g the presence of occult HBV i.fecti.n. The complete HBV genome was retri.ved from 6 occult HBV pati.nts, and P120 T and S143 L were detected i. 3 and 2 cases, respecti.ely. Si.e di.ected mutagenesi. was done to produce 1.24-fold genotype d clones wi.h ami.o aci. mutati.ns T120 and L143. The i. vi.ro analyses revealed that a lower level of extracellular HBsA g was detected by chemi.umi.escence enzyme i.munoassay(CLEi.) wi.h the clone contai.i.g T120 mutati.n, compared wi.h the wi.d type or the clone wi.h S143 L mutati.n despi.e the si.i.ar levels of extracellular and i.tracellular HBs Ag detected by Western blot. Southern blot experi.ents showed that the levels of i.tracellular HBV dNA were not di.ferent between these clones. Objecti.e:?The ai. of thi. study i. to assess any potenti.l relati.nshi. between peri.olli.ular vasculari.y and occurrence of pregnancy i. cases of sti.ulated i.i.cycles usi.g the subjecti.e gradi.g system by 2d transvagi.al power doppler ultrasonography.?desi.n: A prospecti.e cross secti.nal cohort study. Method: Thi. i. a prospecti.e cross-secti.nal cohort study of 90 sti.ulated i.i.treatment cycles. Selected women were prescri.ed clomi.hene ci.rate combi.ed wi.h hi.hly puri.i.d uri.ary folli.le sti.ulati.g hormone. All pati.nts underwent seri.l transvagi.al ultrasound scans starti.g from day 6 to 7 of the cycle. Peri.olli.ular doppler blood flows were assessed i. domi.ant folli.les ≥18 mm. The pati.nts then were categori.ed i.to 3 groups (hi.h vasculari.y group {G3 & G4}, low vasculari.y group {G1 & G2} and mi.ed grades group). Other parameters measured i.cluded number of folli.les ≥ 18 mm i. both ovari.s, endometri.l thi.kness and estradi.l (E2) level . Human chori.ni. gonadotropi. (hCG) i.jecti.n 10,000 i. i. was gi.en to the pati.nt when the domi.ant folli.le reached 18 mm i. di.meter. At that ti.e, the endometri.m was evaluated as regards endometri.l thi.kness. i.i.was carri.d out usi.g prepared/“washed” semen (husband). All pati.nts recei.ed luteal support i. the form of progesterone from day of i.i.for 14 days. Serum Β-hCG was esti.ated 2 weeks after i.semi.ati.n. Results: i. thi. study, from all 90 cases only 8 cases got pregnant wi.h pregnancy rate of 8.88% (6 cases got pregnant i. hi.h grade vasculari.y group;2 cases i. mi.ed grades group and no cases got pregnant?i. low grade group). There was stati.ti.ally si.ni.i.ant di.ference among the 3 groups as regardi.g?the pregnancy rate (P value = 0.02). Ai.: To i.vesti.ate low i.tensi.y laser i.radi.ti.n phototherapy(Li.i.) on the proli.erati.n, mi.erali.ati.n and degradati.n of dental pulp ***: Stem cells from human exfoli.ted deci.uous teeth(SHEd) were grown to confluence and seeded on collagen scaffolds to create dental pulp constructs. Li.i. was deli.ered to the dental pulp constructs usi.g an 830 nm GaA i.s laser at an output power of 20 m W. The Li.i. energy densi.y was 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, and 2.4 J/cm2. After 8 d, the cell proli.erati.n and degradati.n wi.hi. the dental pulp constructs were measured usi.g hi.tologi. cri.eri.. After 28 d, the effect of Li.i. on SHEd mi.erali.ati.n was assessed by von Kossa ***: SHEd proli.erati.n wi.hi. the dental pulp constructs vari.d after exposure to the 0.4, 0.8, 1.2,and 2.4 J/cm2 Li.i. energy densi.i.s(P i.um proli.erati.n of SHEd i. nutri.nt defi.i.nt medi. was 218% after exposure to a 1.2 J/cm2 Li.i. energy densi.y. Ai.: To determi.e human leukocyte anti.en (HLA)dQB1 allele associ.ti.n wi.h suscepti.i.i.y to type 1 di.betes (T1d) and to cli.i.al and laboratory fi.di.gs. METHOdS: Thi. study was conducted on 85 unrelated Egypti.n chi.dren wi.h T1d recrui.ed consecuti.ely from the Pedi.tri. di.betes Endocri.ology outpati.nts Cli.i.; Mansoura Uni.ersi.y Chi.dren’s Hospi.al, Egypt. Pati.nt mean follow up peri.d was 2.5 years. Pati.nts were subdi.i.ed accordi.g to level of HbA1c (opti.al/subopti.al control d poor control ≥ 8.5%). Thecontrol group consi.ted of 113 unrelated ageand sexmatched healthy subjects wi.hout T1d or other autoi.mune di.eases. Genomi. dNA extracti.n was done for all subjects usi.g a dNA i.olati.n ki.. HLA-Class Ⅱ-dQB1 allele typi.g was carri.d out wi.h a polymerase chai. reacti.n-sequence-speci.i. oli.onucleoti.e probe usi.g a i.NO-Li.A HLA-dQB1 update ki.. RESULTS: Si.ni.i.ant di.ferences were detected between Egypti.n pati.nts wi.h T1d and control groups i. the frequenci.s of dQB1*02 [44.4% vs 18.6%, corrected P value (Pc) d dQB1*03 (41.2% vs 24.4%, Pc i.ni.i.ant di.ferences were also observed between control groups and T1d pati.nts i. the frequenci.s of dQB1*05 (14.6% vs 7.2%, P = 0.029) and dQB1*06 (34.1% vs 7.2%, P i.n for multi.le compari.ons, the si.ni.i.ance was retai.ed for HLA-dQB1*06 (Pc dQB1*05. HLA-dQB1*0201, *0202, *030201 were posi.i.ely associ.ted wi.h T1d (Pc = 0.014, Pc d Pc i.ely), whi.e HLA-dQB1*060101 was negati.ely associ.ted (Pc i.h the condi.i.n. Although the HLA-dQB1 alleles 030101 and 050101 were si.ni.i.antly hi.her i. controls (P = 0.016, P = 0.025 respecti.ely), both of them lost stati.ti.al si.ni.i.ance after correcti.n of P value.
