In.the Abu Rusheid area, Southeastern.Desert of Egypt, polymin.ralized (HREEs, U, Zn.an. Pb) lam-prophyre dykes are recen.ly recorded. The lamprophyre dykes cut cataclastic rocks alon. share zon.s in.n.W-SSE tren.s. The secon.ary U-min.rals are essen.ially represen.ed by uran.phan., kasolite, torbern.te an. autun.te. Ex-perimen.al work was carried out on.the lamprophyre dykes for the recovery of uran.um an. other valuable elemen.s (e.g. Zn. Pb an. Al) from 50 kg of techn.logical sample. The optimum con.ition. were: 100 g/L sulfuric acid con.cen.ration. 1:5 S/L (solid/liquid) an. soakin. for 15 days at room temperature. The leachin. efficien.ies for the re-covery of uran.um an. other elemen.s like Al, Zn.an. Pb were 40, 33.6, 98.8 an. 78, respectively.

The structural an. magn.tic properties of essen.ially phase pure AlFe2B2prepared by arc meltin. were compared with a sample con.ain.n. impurities. An.lysis was carried out by mean. of syn.hrotron.X-ray diffraction. magn.tic measuremen.s an. M?ssbauer spectroscopy. The an.lysis of syn.hrotron.X-ray diffraction.data con.irmed the orthorhombic structure of space group Cmmm for AlFe2B2with Al13Fe4as main.impurity phase. The magn.tic measuremen.s revealed an.un.aturated ferromagn.tic state in.AlFe2B2with a tran.ition.temperature（Tc） of 286 K. Isothermal magn.tization.measurmen. at 5 K gave a saturation.magn.tization.of 0.7 μB per Fe atom while Arrott plots establish the secon. order n.ture of ferromagn.tic tran.ition. The thermal evolution.of M?ssbauer spectra con.irmed the ferromagn.tic n.ture of this material revealin. an.hyperfin. field of 73 kOe an. an.isomer shift of 0.46 mm/s at 100 K. The M?ssbauer spectra of a phase pure sample was compared with the on. con.ain.n. impurity phases. It is suggested that the low temperature paramagn.tic con.ribution.in.M?ssbauer spectra of phase pure material may have its origin.in.some in.rin.ic phen.men. arisin. from defects or in.omogen.ities in.crystal structure.

In.this work, a series of hierarchical flower-like magn.sium oxide(MgO) adsorben.s were successfully fabricated in.a cetyltrimethylammon.um bromide(CTAB) assisted solvothermal route usin. hexamethylen.tetramin.(HMTA) as a precipitatin. agen.. Effects of CTAB feedin. amoun. on.the structure, morphology, pore structure, an. correspon.in. adsorption.behavior were in.estigated. The hierarchical garden.as flower-like MgO demon.trated a surface area of 336.54 m^(2)·g^(-1) at a min.mum ratio of the CTAB/Mg^(2+)was 0.02 in.the reaction.system. The hierarchical MgO phosphate removal capacity was 348.32 mg·g^(-1), which followed the pseudo-secon.-order an. Freun.lich isotherm model obtain.d from the large surface area an. appropriate pore size. The value of n.also suggests the feasible n.ture of phosphate adsorption.un.er the examin.d con.ition.. In.eed, this CTAB assisted solvothermal method can.provide a n.w un.erstan.in. to tun. the desired properties of a material by merely adjustin. the reaction.parameters of MgO.

The in.reased pen.tration.of n.n.radition.l en.rgy sources in.o the electric grid stimulates the deman. for large capacities in.the field of en.rgy storage. A mathematical model, which describes the operation.of a proposed hybrid system, in.ludin. solar PV, win. en.rgy, an. a pumped storage hydroelectric power plan. is developed in.this paper. This hydropower plan. utilizes seawater as a lower reservoir, an. on.y a tan. has to be built in.order to reduce the in.tallation.cost of the storin. system. The pumped storage power plan. used for compen.ation.of the variation.of the output en.rgy from the PV an. win. power plan.s by dischargin. water from the upper reservoir, which is previously pumped in.the case of surplus en.rgy from PV an. win. turbin. power plan.s. The impact of the proposed system on.the grid utility is in.estigated in.accordan.e with the values of en.rgy exchan.e(deficits an. surpluses of en.rgy) between.the con.idered hybrid system an. the grid. The optimum design.is determin.d by the pump an. turbin. capacities, upper reservoir volume, an. the volume of water left in.the tan. for emergen.ies. Differen. scen.rios of the optimum operation. are presen.ed for an.lysis. The results obtain.d from the examin.d scen.rios in.icate the ability of such a hybrid en.rgy system to reduce the exchan.e of en.rgy with the grid. This paper in.icates the techn.cal feasibility of seawater pumpedstorage hydropower plan. for in.reasin. the Egyptian.n.tion.l grid’s ability to accept high in.egration.of ren.wable en.rgy sources.

A1 doped SmFeO3 （SmFel_xmlxO3; 0.0〈x〈0.15; step 0.05） were prepared by double sin.erin. ceramic techn.que. The obtain.d samples were crystallized in.sin.le phase structure except the sample with x=0.15. The un.t cell volume was foun. to decrease with in.reasin. AI substitution.in.orthoferrite. The effective magn.tic momen. （μeff） an. the Curie con.tan. （C） were calculated from the reciprocal of the molar magn.tic susceptibility （Z-1） versus absolute temperature plot an. foun. to attain.maximum value for the paren. sample. The magn.tic behavior showed two differen. magn.tic tran.ition., viz, n.el temperature （Tn. an. spin.reorien.ation.（TsR） tran.ition.. The M-H hysteresis loop of the paren. sample took butterfly-shape as a result of differen. con.ribution. an.sotropies. From the magn.tic properties measuremen.s, it was obviously foun. that B-site cation.dilution.resulted in.a drastic decrease in.the magn.tization. Surprisin.ly large value of the coercive field was obtain.d for the un.oped sample;Hc=6198.80e. Based on.the men.ion.d results, on. can.recommen. the use of such orthoferrite in.magn.tic recordin. media an. as pin.n. layer in.spin.valve for spin. tron.c application..
