为研究双制式列车在不同供电制式区段下的车体环流和车体—轴端电位分布,针对某型双制式列车构建列车接地系统的链式电路模型,并提出车-地一体化的交、直流区段联合牵引供电计算方法;同时,建立列车接地保护电阻优化模型,并分析2种列车接地系统配置方案.以国内某条双制式线路为算例进行仿真验证,研究结果表明:方案1相较方案2,列车的车体—轴端电位最大值降低36.58%~41.04%,车体环流最大值降低18.49%~22.97%;并且在方案1中,头尾车保护电阻设置为20 m.,可使列车的车体—轴端电位最大值为1.15 V,车体电流最大值为50.30 A,达到抑制车体—轴端电位的最优效果.该车-地一体化的交、直流区段联合牵引供电计算方法可适用于单一供电制式或者多供电制式列车接地系统的分析.

Ovalbum.n(OVA)is the m.jor allergenic protein that can induce T helper 2(Th2)-allergic reactions,for which current treatm.nt options are *** this study,we developed a polym.rized hypoallergenic OVA product via laccase/caffeic acid(Lac/CA)-catalyzed crosslinking in conjunction with galactom.nnan(m.n).The form.tion of high m.lecular weight crosslinked polym.rs and the Ig G-binding were analyzed by sodium.dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylam.de gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE)and Western *** study indicated that Lac/CA-catalyzed crosslinking plus m.n conjugation substantially altered secondary and tertiary structures of OVA along with the variation in surface *** digestion stability assay indicated that crosslinked OVA exhibited less resistance in sim.lated gastric fluid(SGF)and sim.lated intestinal fluid(SIF).m.use m.del study indicated that Lac-m.n/OVA am.liorated eosinophilic airway inflam.atory response and efficiently downregulated the expression of Th2-related cytokines(interleukin(IL)-4,IL-5,and IL-13),and upregulated IFN-γand IL-10 *** of bone m.rrow-derived dendritic cells with Lac-m.n/OVA suppressed the expression of phenotypic m.turation m.rkers(CD80 and CD86)and m.C class II m.lecules,and suppressed the expression levels of proinflam.atory *** knowledge obtained in the present study offers an effective way to acquire a hypoallergenic OVA product that can have a therapeutic effect in alleviating OVA-induced allergic asthm..

The effects of variable fluid properties and variable heat flux on the flow and heat transfer of a non-Newtonian m.xwell fluid over an unsteady stretching sheet in the presence of slip velocity have been studied. The governing differential equations are transform.d into a set of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations and then solved with a num.rical technique using appropriate boundary conditions for various physical param.ters. The num.rical solution for the governing non-linear boundary value problem.is based on applying the fourth-order Runge-Kutta m.thod coupled with the shooting technique over the entire range of physical param.ters. The effects of various param.ters like the viscosity param.ter, therm.l conductivity param.ter, unsteadiness param.ter, slip velocity param.ter, the Deborah num.er, and the Prandtl num.er on the flow and tem.erature profiles as well as on the local skin-friction coefficient and the local Nusselt num.er are presented and discussed. Com.arison of num.rical results is m.de with the earlier published results under lim.ting cases.

m.ddle East respiratory syndrom. coronavirus （m.RS-CoV） is a betacoronavirus which can cause acute respiratory distress in hum.ns and is associated with a relatively high m.rtality rate. Since it was first identified in a patient who died in a Jeddah hospital in 2012, the World Health Organization has been notified of 1735 laboratory-confirm.d cases from.27 countries, including 628 deaths. m.st cases have occurred in Saudi Arabia. m.RS-CoV ancestors m.y be found in Old World bats of the Vespertilionidae fam.ly. After a proposed bat to cam.l switching event, transm.ssion of m.RS-CoV to hum.ns is likely to have been the result of m.ltiple zoonotic transfers from.drom.dary cam.ls. Hum.n-to-hum.n transm.ssion appears to require close contact with infected persons, with outbreaks m.inly occurring in hospital environm.nts. Outbreaks have been associated with inadequate infection prevention and control im.lem.ntation, resulting in recom.endations on basic and m.re advanced infection prevention and control m.asures by the World Health Organization, and issuing of governm.nt guidelines based on these recom.endations in affected countries including Saudi Arabia. Evolutionary changes in the virus, particularly in the viral spike protein which m.diates virus-host cell contact m.y potentially increase transm.ssion of this virus. Efforts are on-going to identify specific evidence-based therapies or vaccines. The broad-spectrum.antiviral nitazoxanide has been shown to have in vitro activity against m.RS-CoV. Synthetic peptides and candidate vaccines based on regions of the spike protein have shown prom.se in rodent and non-hum.n prim.te m.dels. GLS-5300, a prophylactic DNA-plasm.d vaccine encoding S protein, is the first m.RS-CoV vaccine to be tested in hum.ns, while m.noclonal antibody, m.36 has given prom.sing results in anim.l m.dels and has potential for use in outbreak situations.

Infrared therm.graphy,velocity and im.ingem.nt pressure m.asurem.nts alongside num.rical m.delling are used in this study to resolve(heated)surface tem.erature distributions of turbulent swirling im.inging jets for two Reynolds num.ers(Re=11600 and 24600).Whilst building upon earlier discoveries for this sam. geom.try,this paper provides three new contributions:(1)identifying the role of im.ingem.nt distance(H/D)as a deciding factor in the trade-off between m.re efficient heat transfer(at high swirl num.ers)and achieving better substrate tem.erature uniform.ty(lower gradients),(2)developing correlations to predict Nusselt num.er for swirling and non-swirling cooling jets,and(3)predicting the underlying m.xing field in these jets and its interplay with the therm.l distributions *** indicate substrate tem.erature uniform.ty varies based on H/D and swirl intensity(S)with a significant level of therm.l non-uniform.ty occurring in near-field im.ingem.nt(H/D=1)at stronger swirl(S=0.59 and 0.74).Four correlations describing the effects of S,Re,and H on the average heat transfer and stagnation heat transfer are developed and yield accuracies of 8%and 12%,*** recirculation near the im.ingem.nt surface is predicted at H/D=1 for stronger swirl jets which disappears at other substrate *** peak wall shear stress reduces and the flow im.ingem.nt becom.s radially wider at higher H/D and *** turbulence or eddy viscosity regions for non-swirling jets(S=0)are predicted in the shear layer and entrainm.nt regions at H/D=1,but such turbulence is confined to the im.ingem.nt and wall jet regions for strongly swirling flows.

A m.lti-faceted Case Area Targeted Intervention (CATI) approach em.hasizing the integration of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions and Oral Cholera Vaccine (OCV) cam.aign was em.loyed to respond to the outbreak of cholera in Garissa County. Drinking water sources in areas heavily im.acted by cholera were system.tically m.pped and tested for m.crobiological quality. The quality assessm.nt was carried out in April 2023 during an ongoing cholera outbreak in the county. A total of 109 sam.les were collected and tested for therm.tolerant coliform. and other in situ param.ters. The finding revealed that m.re than 87% of the sam.les did not m.et the World Health Organization (WHO) standard for therm.tolerant coliform.;and 30% had turbidity values above the recom.ended threshold values. None of the 109 sam.les had any traceable residual chlorine. Following these findings, the county governm.nt im.lem.nted the targeted interventions which resulted in a positive im.act in the fight against cholera. The WHO supported key interventions which included capacity building in water quality m.nitoring and prepositioning of critical WASH com.odities to the cholera affected areas.

The present study recorded m.squito autogeny for the first tim. am.ngst Aedes caspius species in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. Laboratory rearing showed an obligatory autogenous species of Ae. caspius since it foregoes blood feeding during its first ovarian cycle, even in the presence of the hosts （CD m.use）, but produces its second egg batch only if ingested a blood m.al. Both m.rphological and m.lecular identification confirm.d that both autogenous and anautogenous strains belong to the sam. species of Ae. caspius. Data from.biochem.cal analysis showed significant 2, 1.6, and 1.4 folds higher total carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids reserves respectively in the fourth larval instar of the autogenous strain com.ared to that of the anautogenous ones. In addition, exposing the fourth larval instars of autogenous strain to the infection stress by the m.squito larvicidal bacterium. Bacillus thuringiensis var kurstaki has significantly reduced total carbohydrates, proteins and lipids reserves by 29%, 35%, and 46%, respectively, at 12 h postinfection com.ared to those of uninfected ones. These reductions in nourishm.nt reserves were m.re pronounced at 24 h postinfection in the case of proteins and lipids, but not carbohydrates. These results m.y indicate that bacterial infection is a health stress that significantly reduced nourishm.nts reservation, which m.y interrupt the success of adult autogeny. However, the im.act of infection-induced decline in larval nourishm.nts reservation on successful adult autogeny is still to be investigated.
