Drawing on reader-response criticism,this article aims at analyzing the aesthetic receptive experience of teaching imagery through painting/*** argue that such an approach helps students transcend the limitations of written words by deconstructing the text and reconstructing the meaning,which,in turn,enriches students’creativity,free-thinking,and ability to describe sensory *** approach,in this case,is a medium of meta-reflection through which students undergo the aesthetic experience while painting/drawing mediates between the text and students’unconscious *** role of reader-response through painting/drawing is to unravel the relational structures that mark this creative *** this end,we applied this method to an undergraduate class of poetry at Taibah University,Saudi *** sample consisted of forty-four undergraduate students,who were asked to re-present Robert Frost’s poem,“After Apple-Picking,”in painting/*** analyze the students’act of reading,the participants were asked to write reflection letters on how they felt throughout the process of preparing their portraits and,consequently,their replies were used in analyzing their *** study presents a replicable model for application to other genres and literary texts.

Edge detection considered as very important and fundamental tool in image processing. An image edge is a very sensitive place where the image information and details mostly placed on it. Different filters were used to detect and enhance these edges to improve the sharpness and raising the image clarity. The significance of this paper comes from the study, compare and evaluate the effects of three well-known edge detection techniques in a spatial domain, where this evaluation was performed using both subjective and objective manner to find out the best edge detection algorithm. The Sobel, Homogeneity and Prewitt algorithms were used on 2D gray-scale synthesis and real images in Jordan using C# programming language. According to the comparative results obtained using the three techniques, it was clearly found that Prewitt and Homogeneity algorithms performance were better than Sobel algorithm. Therefore, Prewitt and Homogeneity algorithms can be recommended as useful detection tools in edge detection.

Abstract In this paper, we study the Lp mapping properties of certain class of maximal oscillatory singular integral operators. We prove a general theorem for a class of maximal functions along surfaces. As a consequence of such theorem, we establish the Lp boundedness of various maximal oscillatory singular integrals provided that their kernels belong to the natural space L log L（Sn-1）. Moreover, we highlight some additional results concerning operators with kernels in certain block spaces. The results in this paper substantially improve previously known results.

The Middle East and North Africa(MENA)region has an active gaming community,with Arab gamers being reliant on games produced in Europe,America,and Japan due to the lack of significant game production companies in the MENA *** study explores the gamers’reactions to the localization process of two video games,namely PUBG and Free *** data collection purposes,a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that consisted of 18 items and six constructs,namely need for subtitled games,technical aspects,language issues,language preference,attitudes to game localization,and future actions and recommendations,was designed to elicit the reactions of 112 *** analyzing the responses,the findings showed that the better the technical aspects and language issues of the games’performance,the more positive participants’attitudes to game *** study recommends that further research could be conducted on the localization of video games with different themes into Arabic.

Very long chain-saturated and-polyunsaturated fatty acids(VLC-SFA and VLC-PUFA, respectively) are a functionally important class of fatty acids containing 28 carbons or more in their acyl chain. They are synthesized by the elongation of very long fatty acids-4(ELOVL4) enzyme, expressed mainly in the brain, retina, skin, testes, and meibomian gland, where these fatty acids are found(Agbaga et al., 2008). Further, these organs exhibit tissuespecific VLC-PUFA and VLC-SFA biosynthesis and incorporation into complex lipids for specific functions. In the brain, skin, and Meibomian glands, the ELOVL4 mainly makes VLC-SFA, which are incorporated into complex sphingolipids. In the retina, the ELOVL4 makes VLC-PUFA that are incorporated into phosphatidylcholine, that are critical for visual function, while in testes and sperm, the VLC-PUFA are incorporated into sphingolipids that are critical for fertility(Yeboah et al., 2021).

A detailed radiometric survey including soil gas radon measurements and field gammaray survey, in accordance with geochemical and geological investigations were carried out in alNassrieh Basin（central Syria）, for the purpose of uranium exploration. Thirty-six samples were collected from various lithofacies of the survey area and analyzed by γ-ray spectrometric technique for determining the concentration values of major radioelements. The relationships between the concentrations of equivalent e U, e Th, and their ratios were examined in order to define their trend of variations and evaluate the degree of uranium remobilization and redistribution. although the initial results indicate that uranium enrichment is mostly restricted to the Upper Cretaceous phosphate rocks, a considerable portion of uranium appeared to be leached out of the primary phosphatic source and dispersed in the adjacent recent sediments. Further, notable increases of radon level associated with relatively high values of uranium concentration and gamma count rates were found to be spatially correlated with the transition zone between the marine Paleogene and continental Neogene formations throughout the study basin. This observation demonstrates the importance of the concerned zone as a suitable geological environment for hosting probable uranium mineralization along a chemically reducing interface where surface water of terrestrial and marine origin mingled at depth and away from surficial conditions.
