Four species of the genus Prochiloneurus Silvestri, belonging to the family Encyrtidae of Hymenoptera, are reported from China. Among them, P. stenopterus sp. nov., which is reared as the hyperparasitoid of Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley （Hemiptera： Pseudococcidae）, an invasive mealybug to China, is reported as new to science. A key of the genus is provided for the recognition of the females of Chinese species. Notes on the parasitoid and hyperparasitoid of the mealybug Phenacoccus solenopsis are provided.

Unveiling the signal transduction of phytohormone abscisic acid （ABA） and its regulatory mechanisms is critical for developing the strategies toward improving plant responses to stressful environments. ABA signaling is perceived and mediated by multiple PYR/PYL receptors, whose post-translational modifications, especially phosphorylation, remain largely unknown. In this study, we demonstrate thatArabidopsis ELl-like （AEL） protein, a casein kinase that regulates various physiological processes, phosphorylate PYR/PYLs to promote their ubiquitination and degradation, resulting in suppressed ABA responses. Arabidopsis ael triple mutants display hypersensitive responses to ABA treatment, which is consistent with the suppressed degradation of PYR/PYL proteins. PYR/PYLs are phosphorylated in vivo and mutation of the conserved AEL phosphorylation sites results in reduced phosphorylation, ubiquitination, and degradation of PYR/PYLs, and hence enhanced ABA responses. Taken together, these results demonstrate that AEL-mediated phosphorylation plays crucial roles in regulating the stability and function of PYR/ PYLs, providing significant insights into the post-translational regulation of PYR/PYL receptors and ABA signaling.

OBJECTIVE Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a potential cardiovascular *** aimed to investigate the association of OSA with heart rhythm disorders and prognosis in elderly patients with new-onset acute myocardial infarction(AMI).METHODS We prospectively enrolled 252 AMI elderly patients(mean age,68.5±6.9 years)who were undergoing revascularization and completed a sleep study during their *** subjects were categorized into non-OSA(apnea–hypopnea index(AHI)<15,n=130)and OSA(AHI≥15,n=122)groups based on the *** changes in the autonomic nervous system,incidence of arrhythmia during nocturnal sleep,and major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events(MACCEs)were compared between the *** The mean AHI value in all AMI patients was 22.8±*** patients showed higher levels of body mass index and peak high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and lower levels of minimum nocturnal oxygen saturation(Min Sa O2),as well as greater proportion of multivessel coronary artery disease(all P<0.05).The OSA group also showed significant increases in heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence onset(both P<0.05)and higher incidence of arrhythmia(including sinus,atrial,and ventricular in origin).At a median follow-up of 6 months(mean 0.8–1.6 years),OSA(AHI≥15)combined with hypoxia(Min Sa O2≤80%)was independently associated with the incidence of MACCEs(hazard ratio[HR]:4.536;95%confidence interval[CI]:1.461-14.084,P=0.009)after adjusting for traditional risk *** OSA and OSA-induced hypoxia may correlate with the severity of myocardial infarction,increase the occurrence of heart rhythm disorders in elderly subacute MI patients,and worsen their short-term poor outcomes.

Potato is the fourth most important food crop in the *** with a long history for breeding approaches,genomic information and association between genes and agronomic traits remain largely unknown particularly in autotetraploid potato cultivars,which limit the molecular breeding *** resequencing the genome of 108 main cultivar potato accessions with rich genetic diversity and population structure from International Potato Center,with approximate 20-fold coverage,we revealed more than 27 million Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms and~3 million Insertion and Deletions with high quality and *** analysis and genome-wide association studies(GWAS)identified candidate loci related to photoperiodic flowering time and temperature sensitivity as well as disease resistance,providing informative insights into the selection and domestication of cultivar *** addition,GWAS with GWASploy for 25 agronomic traits identified candidate loci by association signals,especially those related to tuber size,small-sized tuber weight and tuber thickness that was also validated by transcriptome *** study provides a valuable resource that facilitates the elucidation of domestication process as well as the genetic studies and agronomic improvement of autotetraploid potato.

Effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen on the Growth of Intracranial Glioma in Rats

Background： Numerous studies have confirmed that hyperbaric oxygen （HBO） in combination with radiotherapy or chemotherapy may increase the efficacy of radiotherapy or chemotherapy in patients with glioma. However, whether HBO therapy alone may inhibit or promote the growth of malignant tumors remains controversial. This study aimed to investigate the effect of HBO on the growth of glioma in rats, and the impact of HBO on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） and hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha （HIF-1α）, angiogenesis, and apoptosis of glioma cells. Methods： Male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with or without HBO after glioma cell inoculation and followed for up to 16 days postinoculation. Rats were randomized to receive bilateral forelimb function tests （n = 20 per group） and head magnetic resonance imaging （n = 5 per group）. Differences between HBO and control groups were tested using 2-sample independent t-tests and changes over time within treatment groups were analyzed using a repeated measurement analysis of variance with Bonferroni correction. The effect of H BO on the expression of VEGF, HIF-1α, yon Willebrand factor, angiogenesis, and tumor cell apoptosis were also examined （n = 5 per group）. Results： Forelimb function scores were reduced in both HBO-treated and control groups. HBO-treated rats had significantly larger tumor volume and more water in the cerebellum compared with control rats. The intratumoral expression of VEGF was significantly higher in HBO-treated rats compared with control rats （23.2% vs. 13.3%, P = 0.002）. HIF-1α was significantly increased in HBO-treated rats compared with controls in the expression of both intratumoral （72.7% vs. 54.9%, P= 0.001） and peritumoral （2.6% vs. 1.9%, P = 0.003） cells. The intratumoral microvessel density （MVD） was significantly higher in the HBO group （15.6 vessels/field vs. 4.4 vessels/field. P 〈 0.001 ）, and the peritumoral MVD was not significantly different between the two groups
