Risk Factors Associated with Recurrence within 90 Days of Ischemic Stroke Onset in Chinese Medicine Hospital: A National Cross-Sectional Study in China

Objective:The short-and long-term risk factors for stroke recurrence may be *** study is aimed to determine the risk factors for recurrence within 90 days in patients with ischemic stroke in ***:This was cross-sectional registry-based study in Chinese medicine hospitals from eight provinces and ten cities in China between November 3,2016 and May 28,*** thousand one hundred and twenty patients with ischemic stroke aged between 35 and 80 *** recurrence was defined as an outcome *** tomography/magnetic resonance imaging was used as a diagnostic tool for stroke ***’age,sex,height,weight,body mass index(BMI),education level,medical history,family history,smoking,and drinking were *** laboratory examinations were *** factors were investigated by calculating the odds ratio(OR)using logistic regression ***:In all,2120 patients were included in the study,712(33.6%)of whom were women and 1408(66.4%)were men,with a mean age of 62.84±9.35 ***-two patients experienced stroke recurrence within 90 days,and the accumulative recurrence rates of stroke were 3.9%(95%confidence interval[CI],3.0%–4.7%).The binary logistic analysis showed that previous history of one(OR=8.113;95%CI,4.497–14.637),two(OR=8.848;95%CI,4.025–9.449),or≥3 ischemic strokes(OR=24.599;95%CI,9.307–65.018),and BMI<18.5 kg/m2(OR=2.842;95%CI,1.000–8.075)were independently associated with stroke recurrence within 90 ***:The accumulative recurrence rate of ischemic stroke was 3.9%within 90 *** of previous history of ischemic stroke and BMI<18.5 kg/m2 were independent risk factors for stroke *** history and solar terms of ischemic stroke were not found to be associated with stroke recurrence within 90 *** secondary prevention for patients with a previous history of ischemic stroke is urgently needed to address this stroke recurrence burden.

Polyetheretherketone(PEEK)has been an alternative material for titanium in bone defect repair,but its clinical application is limited by its poor *** this study,a porous structural design and activated surface modification were used to enhance the osseointegration capacity of PEEK *** PEEK scaffolds were manufactured via fused deposition modeling and a polydopamine(PDA)coating chelated with magnesium ions(Mg^(2+))was utilized on the *** surface modification,the hydrophilicity of PEEK scaffolds was significantly enhanced,and bioactive Mg^(2+)could be *** vitro results showed that the activated surface could promote cell proliferation and adhesion and contribute to osteoblast differentiation and mineralization;the released Mg^(2+)promoted angiogenesis and might contribute to the formation of osteogenic H-type ***,porous PEEK scaffolds were implanted in rabbit femoral condyles for in vivo evaluation of *** results showed that the customized three-dimensional porous structure facilitated vascular ingrowth and bone ingrowth within the PEEK *** PDA coating enhanced the interfacial osseointegration of porous PEEK scaffolds and the released Mg^(2+)accelerated early bone ingrowth by promoting early angiogenesis during the coating degradation *** study provides an efficient solution for enhancing the osseointegration of PEEK materials,which has high potential for translational clinical applications.

我国社会老龄化程度日益加重,接受外科手术的老年患者也随之增多。老年患者具有合并症多、营养风险高、衰弱、器官功能下降等特点,其中营养支持是老年外科患者围手术期的重要环节。目前,国内外尚缺少老年患者围手术期营养支持指南或共识,为推动该领域工作规范开展,基于现有研究证据,中国研究型医院学会老年外科专业委员会组织讨论并制订《老年外科患者围手术期营养支持中国专家共识(2024版)》,从术前营养评估,术前与术后营养支持治疗适应证、目标、成份与途径,营养并发症与管理,手术并发症的营养干预及营养随访等多方面提出共识,以期对老年外科患者进行规范的营养支持提供指导性意见。

Multi-component seismic exploration is an important technique in the utilization of P-waves and converted S-waves for oil and gas *** has unique advantages in the structural imaging of gas zones,reservoir prediction,lithology,and gas-water identifi cation,and the development direction and degree of ***-component joint inversion is one of the most important steps in multi-component *** this paper,starting from the basic principle of multi-component joint inversion,the diff erences between the method and single P-wave inversion are ***,the technique is applied to the PLN area of the Sichuan Basin,and the P-wave impedance,S-wave impedance,and density are obtained based on multi-component joint *** the velocity and lithology,porosity,and gas saturation fi tting formulas,prediction results are calculated,and the results are ***,multi-component joint inversion and single P-wave inversion are compared in eff ective reservoir *** results show that multi-component joint inversion increases the constraints on the inversion conditions,reduces the multi-solution of a single P-wave inversion,and is more objective and reliable for the identification of reservoirs,effectively improving the accuracy of oil and gas reservoir prediction and development.

Characterization of starch morphology, composition, physicochemical properties and gene expressions in oat

Starch is the major carbohydrate in oat （Avena sativa L.） and starch formation requires the coordinated actions of several synthesis enzymes. In this study, the granule morphology, composition and physicochemical properties of oat starch, as well as the expressions of starch synthesis genes were investigated during oat endosperm development. Under the scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, we observed that the unique compound granules were developed in oat endosperms at 10 days post anthesis （DPA） and then fragmented into irregular or polygonal simple granules from 12 DPA until seed maturity. The amylose content, branch chain length of degree of polymerization （DP=13-24）, gelatinization temperature and percentage of retrogradation were gradually increased during the endosperm development; whereas the distribution of short chains （DP=6-12） were gradually decreased. The relative expressions of 4 classes of 13 starch synthesis genes characterized in this study indicated that three expression pattern groups were significantly different among gene classes as well as among varied isoforms, in which the first group of starch synthesis genes may play a key role on the initiation of starch synthesis in oat endosperms.

Comparison of the seasonal evolution of the South Asian high associated with two types of El Ni?o event

EI Nino （EN） episodes can be classified based on their time of onset as spring onset EN （SPEN） events and summer onset EN （SUEN） events. To evaluate the different influences of SPEN and SUEN events on the South Asian high （SAH）, this study compared the seasonal evolution of the SAH （SESAH） associated with SPEN and SUEN events through analysis of geopotential height and zonal wind data derived from NCEP-NCAR Reanalysis-1 and sea surface temperature data obtained from the Hadley Center. The main features of the SESAH during an EN event are similar to its climatological characteristics. Climatologically, the SAH forms in May, strengthens, and moves northwestward in June and July. It does not change much in August, but then it returns south and weakens during September and October. However, its lifespan is shorter and its intensity weaker during EN periods. Furthermore, there are significant differences between the SESAH during SPEN and SUEN events. During a SPEN episode, the movement of the SAH to the northwest during May and June is slower than during a SUEN event, i.e. the SPEN SAH has a shorter lifespan. In comparison with the SUEN SAH, the SPEN SAH in July and September tends more towards the Tibetan high mode rather than the Iranian high mode. The SPEN SAH in October moves southeastward faster than the SUEN SAH, which also indicates that the SAH has a shorter lifespan during a SPEN event than during a SUEN episode.

Expression patterns and action analysis of genes associated with physiological responses during rat liver regeneration:Innate immune response

AIM： To study the relationship between innate immune response and liver regeneration （LR） at transcriptional level.METHODS： Genes associated with innate immunity response were obtained by collecting the data from databases and retrieving articles, Gene expression changes in rat regenerating liver were detected by rat genome 230 2.0 array.RESULTS： A total of 85 genes were found to be associated with LR. The initially and totally expressed number of genes at the phases of initiation [0.5-4 h after partial hepatectomy （PH）], transition from GO to G1 （4-6 h after PH）, cell proliferation （6-66 h after PH）, cell differentiation and structure-function reconstruction （66-168 h after PH） was 36, 9, 47, 4 and 36, 26, 78, 50, respectively, illustrating that the associated genes were mainly triggered at the initial phase of LR and worked at different phases. According to their expression similarity, these genes were classified into 5 types： 41 up-regulated, 4 predominantly up-regulated, 26 downregulated, 6 predominantly down-regulated, and 8 approximately up/down-regulated genes, respectively. The expression of these genes was up-regulated 350 times and down-regulated 129 times respectively, demonstrating that the expression of most genes was enhanced while the expression of a small number of genes was decreased during LR. Their time relevance was classified into 14 groups, showing that the cellular physiological and biochemical activities dudng LR were staggered. According to the gene expression patterns,they were classified into 28 types, indicating that the cellular physiological and biochemical activities were diverse and complicated during LR. CONCLUSION： Congenital cellular immunity is enhanced mainly in the forepart, prophase and anaphase of LR while congenital molecular immunity is increased dominantly in the forepart and anaphase of LR. A total of 85 genes associated with LR play an important role in innate immunity.
