The selection of meat quality has received considerable focus in chicken breeding. This study was aimed at investigating the effect of CAPN1 gene on meat quality traits in chicken populations. Primer pairs for 3 UTR in CAPN1 were designed from database of chicken genomic sequence. Polymorphisms were detected using PCR-SSCP and DNA sequencing. A mutation at position 9 950 nt （G/A, locus A） was found among individuals in each population. The allele and genotype frequencies significantly differed among eight lines with higher frequencies of allele A2 and genotype AIA2 （P〈0.01）. The least square analysis showed that there was significant difference （P 〈 0.05） in muscle fiber density and some carcass traits among genotypes and that the breast muscle fiber density （BFD） of birds ofAIA1 genotype was significantly higher （P〈0.05） than that of birds ofA2A2 genotype. It was concluded that the CAPN1 gene was the major gene affecting the muscle fiber traits of chicken or was linked with the major gene. These results were useful for studying the molecular mechanism that influences meat traits and were used as the base of molecular-assisted selection to meat quality traits. So, this site may be a potential marker affecting the muscle traits of chickens.

A strong k-edge-coloring of a graph G is an assignment of k colors to the edges of G in such a way that any two edges meeting at a common vertex, or being adjacent to the same edge of G, axe assigned different colors. The strong chromatic index of G is the smallest integer k for which G has a strong k-edge-coloring. In this paper, we have shown that the strong chromatic index is no larger than 6 for outerplanax graphs with maximum degree 3.

Effect of small content of chromium（Cr） on wet–dry acid corrosion behavior of low alloy steels has been *** results show that the corrosion resistance of the steels increased with increasing Cr content from 0.10 to0.50 wt%.Higher content of Cr promotes initial corrosion and accelerates the formation of dense and protective rust in long-term *** enhanced protectiveness of the rust is closely related to its *** content of Cr increases the content of amorphous phases and decreases the content of c-Fe OOH in the rust,resulting in the high compactness of the rust and low electrochemical activity in acid *** dopes in rust and depresses the transformation from amorphous phases to a-Fe OOH,as well as the growth process of Fe OOH particles,which is responsible for the enhanced compactness of rust in long-term corrosion.

Effects of W and Mo additions on wet-dry acid corrosion behavior of low-alloy steels under different O2 concentrations were investigated. The results showed that W and Mo-containing steels presented excellent wet-dry cor- rosion resistance under O2 concentrations of both 1 and 5%. The roles of W and Mo played in increasing corrosion resistance of the steels were different. W could improve the thermodynamic stability of the steel substrate, while Mo could promote the formation of protective rust. Interaction between W, Mo and O2 concentration greatly influenced wet-dry acid corrosion of low-alloy steels. W addition was more effective for depressing charge transfer process at the rust/substrate interface and presented higher enhanced effect on increasing corrosion resistance than Mo under O2 concentration of 1%. Mo was more effective on increasing rust compactness and showed higher enhanced effect on increasing corrosion resistance than W under O2 concentration of 5%.

AIM:To provide the direct evidence for the crucial role of trimethylamine N-oxide(TMAO)in vascular permeability and endothelial cell dysfunction under diabetic ***:The role of TMAO on the in vitro biological effect of human retinal microvascular endothelial cells(HRMEC)under high glucose conditions was tested by a cell counting kit,wound healing,a transwell and a tube formation *** inflammation-related gene expression affected by TMAO was tested by real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).The expression of the cell junction was measured by Western blotting(WB)and immunofluorescence *** addition,two groups of rat models,diabetic and non-diabetic,were fed with normal or 0.1%TMAO for 16wk,and their plasma levels of TMAO,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),interleukin(IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αwere *** vascular permeability of rat retinas was measured using FITC-Dextran,and the expression of zonula occludens(ZO)-1 and claudin-5 in rat retinas was detected by WB or immunofluorescence ***:TMAO administration significantly increased the cell proliferation,migration,and tube formation of primary HRMEC either in normal or high-glucose ***-PCR showed elevated inflammation-related gene expression of HRMEC under TMAO stimulation,while WB or immunofluorescence staining indicated decreased cell junction ZO-1 and occludin expression after high-glucose and TMAO *** rats showed higher plasma levels of TMAO as well as retinal vascular leakage,which were even higher in TMAO-feeding diabetic ***,TMAO administration increased the rat plasma levels of VEGF,IL-6 and TNF-αwhile decreasing the retinal expression levels of ZO-1 and ***:TMAO enhances the proliferation,migration,and tube formation of HRMEC,as well as destroys their vascular integrity and tight *** also regulates the expression of VEGF,IL-6,and TNF-α.

To control the growth of space debris in the geostationary earth orbit （GEO）, a novel solution of net capture and tether-tugging reorbiting is proposed. After capture, the tug （i.e., active spacecraft）, tether, net, and target （i.e., GEO debris） constitute a rig- id-flexible coupled tethered combination system （TCS）, and subsequently the system is transported to the graveyard orbit by a thruster equipped on the tug. This paper attempts to study the dynamics of tether-tugging leorbiting after net capture. The net is equivalent to four flexible bridles, and the tug and target are viewed as rigid bodies. A sophisticated mathematical model is developed, taking into account the system orbital motion, relative motion of two spacecraft and spacecraft attitude motion. Given the complexity of the model, the numerical method is adopted to study the system dynamics characteristics. Particular attention is given to the investigation of the possible risks such as tether slack, spacecraft collision, tether rupture, tether-tug intertwist and destabilizing of the rug＇s attitude. The influence of the initial conditions and the magnitudes of the thrust are studied.

In order to explore new substitutes for 2,5 furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA)or poly(ethylene 2,5 furandicarboxylate)(PEF)and try to develop more ideal bio based polyesters,several thiophene aromatic polyesters(PETH,PPTH,PBTH,and PHTH)were synthesized from dimethyl thiophene 2,5-dicarboxylate(DMTD)and different diols,including ethylene glycol,1,3-propanediol,1,4-butanediol,and 1,*** chemical structures of obtained polyesters were confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(H-NMR and 1'C-NMR).Determined by GPC measurement,their average molecular weight(M.)varied from 5.22 x 10*g/mol to 7.94 x 10*g/mol with the molar-mass dispersity of *** on the DSC and TGA results,the synthesized polyesters PETH,PPTH,and PBTH displayed comparable or even better thermal properties when compared with their FDCA-based *** PETH to PHTH,their Tg varied from 64.6°Cto-1°C while Tsm ranged from 409 C to 380°C in nitrogen atmosphere,PETH showed elongation at break as high as 378%,tensile strength of 67 MPa,and tensile modulus of 1800 ***,the CO2 and O2 barrier of PETH was 12.0 and 6.6 folds higher than those of PET,respectively,and similar to those of *** the overall properties,the synthesized thiophene aromatic polyesters,especially PETH,showed great potential to be used as an excellent bio based packaging material in the future.

Dysfunction of brain-derived arginine-vasopressin（AVP） systems may be involved in the etiology of autism spectrum disorder（ASD）. Certain regions such as the hypothalamus, amygdala, and hippocampus are known to contain either AVP neurons or terminals and may play an important role in regulating complex social *** present study was designed to investigate the concomitant changes in autistic behaviors, circulating AVP levels, and the structure and functional connectivity（FC） of speci？c brain regions in autistic children compared with typically developing children（TDC） aged from 3 to5 years. The results showed：（1） children with ASD had a signi？cantly increased volume in the left amygdala and left hippocampus, and a signi？cantly decreased volume in the bilateral hypothalamus compared to TDC, and these were positively correlated with plasma AVP level.（2） Autistic children had a negative FC between the left amygdala and the bilateral supramarginal gyri compared to TDC. The degree of the negative FC between amygdala and supramarginal gyrus was associated with a higher score on the clinical autism behavior checklist.（3） The degree of negative FC between left amygdala and left supramarginal gyrus was associated with a lowering of the circulating AVP concentration in boys with ASD.（4） Autistic children showed a higher FC between left hippocampus and right subcortical area compared to TDC.（5） The circulating AVP was negatively correlated with the visual and listening response score of the childhood autism rating *** results strongly suggest that changes in structure and FC in brain regions containing AVP may be involved in the etiology of autism.

AIM： To estimate the effectiveness of phacoemulsification and foldable intraocular lens（IOL） implantation combined with transpupillary silicone oil ***： There were 168 eyes of 168 candidate patients with cataract and silicone oil-filled eyes recruited in our study. All of the patients received the intraocular silicone oil removal surgery by transpupillary drainage and cataract extraction by phacoemulsification. Then the IOL implantation were also performed through corneal incision. RESULTS： The surgery was successfully completed in all eyes. Best corrected visual acuity（BCVA） and postoperative complications were recorded in three months after surgery. There were 143 eyes with BCVA improved, otherwise 25 eyes remained stable at the last follow-up visit. The mean BCVA statistically improved from 20/400±0.02 to 20/100±0.15（P〈0.001） and mean postoperative IOP was 13.85±2.18 mm Hg（P=0.415）. No intra-operative complications were ***： Phacoemulsification combined with transpupillary removal of silicone oil is a safe and simple effective method. In general, it enables quick recovery of visual acuity with less complication rate.
