Hypoxia-mediated programmed cell death is involved in the formation of wooden breast in broilers

Background Wooden breast(WB)myopathy is a common myopathy found in commercial broiler chickens *** examination has revealed that WB myopathy is accompanied by damage to the pectoralis major(PM)***,the underlying mechanisms responsible for the formation of WB in broilers have not been fully *** study aimed to investigate the potential role of hypoxia-mediated programmed cell death(PCD)in the formation of WB *** Histological examination and biochemical analysis were performed on the PM muscle of the control(CON)and WB groups.A significantly increased thickness of the breast muscle in the top,middle,and bottom portions(P<0.01)was found along with pathological structure damage of myofibers in the WB *** number of capillaries per fiber in PM muscle,and the levels of p O_(2) and s O_(2) in the blood,were significantly decreased(P<0.01),while the levels of p CO_(2) and TCO_(2) in the blood were significantly increased(P<0.05),suggesting hypoxic conditions in the PM muscle of the WB *** further evaluated the PCD-related pathways including autophagy,apoptosis,and necroptosis to understand the consequence response to enhanced hypoxic conditions in the PM muscle of birds with *** ratio of LC3 II to LC3 I,and the autophagy-related factors HIF-1α,BNIP3,Beclin1,AMPKα,and ULK1 at the m RNA and protein levels,were all significantly upregulated(P<0.05),showing that autophagy occurred in the PM muscle of the WB *** apoptotic index,as well as the expressions of Bax,Cytc,caspase 9,and caspase 3,were significantly increased(P<0.05),whereas Bcl-2 was significantly decreased(P<0.05)in the WB-affected PM muscle,indicating the occurrence of apoptosis mediated by the mitochondrial ***,the expressions of necroptosis-related factors RIP1,RIP3,and MLKL,as well as NF-κB and the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6,were all significantly enhanced(P<0.05)in the WB-affected PM *** T

Composition design and performance evaluation of rubber-particle cement-stabilized gravel

To improve the mechanical properties and durability of the cement-stabilized base,rubber particles of three different sizes and with three different contents were optimally selected,the evolution laws of the mechanical strength and toughness of rubber-particle cement-stabilized gravel(RCSG)under different schemes were determined,and the optimal particle size and content of rubber particles were *** this basis,the durability of the RCSG base was *** results show that with an increase in the rubber particle size and content,the mechanical strength of RCSG gradually decreased,whereas the toughness and transverse deformation ability gradually increased.1%content and 2–4 mm sized RCSG can better balance the relationship between mechanical strength and *** 7 d unconfined compressive strength was 17.7%higher than that of the 4–8 mm *** 28 d toughness index and ultimate splitting strain can be increased by 9.8%and 6.3 times,respectively,compared with ordinary cement-stabilized gravel(CSG).In terms of durability,compared with CSG,RCSG showed a 3.7%increase in the water stability property of cement-stabilized base with 1%content and 2–4 mm rubber particles,5.5%increase in the frozen coefficient,and 80.6%and 37.9%increase in the fatigue life at 0.70 and 0.85 stress ratio levels,respectively.

Reconstruction of particle distribution for tomographic particle image velocimetry based on unsupervised learning method

The development of deep learning has inspired some new methods to solve the 3D reconstruction problem for Tomographic Particle Image Velocimetry (Tomo-PIV). However, the supervised learning method requires a large number of data with ground truth as training information, which is very difficult to gather from experiments. Although synthetic datasets can be used as alternatives, they are still not exactly the same with the real-world experimental data. In this paper, an Unsupervised Reconstruction Technique based on U-net (UnRTU) is proposed to reconstruct volume particle distribution explicitly. Instead of using ground truth data, a projection function is used as an unsupervised loss function for network training to reconstruct particle distribution. The UnRTU was compared with some traditional algebraic reconstruction algorithms and supervised learning method using synthetic data under different particle density and noise level. The results indicate that UnRTU outperforms these traditional approaches in both reconstruction quality and noise robustness, and is comparable to the supervised learning methods AI-PR. For experimental tests, particles dispersed in cured epoxy resin are moved by an electric rail with a certain speed to obtain the ground truth data of particle velocity. Compared with other algorithms, the reconstructed particle distribution by UnRTU has the best reconstruction fidelity. And the accuracy of the 3D velocity field estimated by UnRTU is 12.9% higher than that from the traditional MLOS-MART algorithm. It demonstrates significant potential and advantages for UnRTU in 3D reconstruction of particle distribution. Finally, UnRTU was successfully applied to the high-speed planar cascade airflow field, demonstrating its applicability for measuring complex fluid flow fields at higher particle density. Entity alignment(EA)is an important technique aiming to find the same real entity between two different source knowledge graphs(KGs).Current methods typically learn the embedding of entities for EA from the structure of KGs for *** EA models are designed for rich-resource languages,requiring sufficient resources such as a parallel corpus and pre-trained language ***,low-resource language KGs have received less attention,and current models demonstrate poor performance on those low-resource ***,researchers have fused relation information and attributes for entity representations to enhance the entity alignment performance,but the relation semantics are often *** address these issues,we propose a novel Semantic-aware Graph Neural Network(SGNN)for entity ***,we generate pseudo sentences according to the relation triples and produce representations using pre-trained ***,our approach explores semantic information from the connected relations by a graph neural *** model captures expanded feature information from *** results using three low-resource languages demonstrate that our proposed SGNN approach out performs better than state-of-the-art alignment methods on three proposed datasets and three public datasets.

Atherosclerosis(AS)is a chronic inflammatory disease of large and medium-sized arteries that leads to ischemic heart disease,stroke,and peripheral vascular *** the current treatments,mortality and disability still remain *** therapy(SDT),a non-invasive and localized methodology,has been developed as a promising new treatment for inhibiting atherosclerotic progression and stabilizing *** progress has been made through cell and animal assays,as well as clinical *** example,the effect of SDT on apoptosis and autophagy of cells in AS,especially macrophages,and the concept of non-lethal SDT has also been *** this review,we summarize the ultrasonic parameters and known sonosensitizers utilized in SDT for AS;we elaborate on SDT's therapeutic effects and mechanisms in terms of macrophages,T lymphocytes,neovascularization,smooth muscle cells,lipid,extracellular matrix and efferocytosis within plaques;additionally,we discuss the safety of SDT.A comprehensive summary of the confirmed effects of SDT on AS is conducted to establish a framework for future researchers.

Skin wounds are characterized by injury to the skin due to trauma,tearing,cuts,or *** such injuries are common to all human groups,they may at times represent a serious socioeconomic ***,increasing numbers of studies have focused on the role of mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)-derived extracellular vesicles(EVs)in skin wound *** a cell-free therapy,MSC-derived EVs have shown significant application potential in the field of wound repair as a more stable and safer option than conventional cell *** based on MSC-derived EVs can significantly promote the repair of damaged substructures,including the regeneration of vessels,nerves,and hair *** addition,MSC-derived EVs can inhibit scar formation by affecting angiogenesis-related and antifibrotic pathways in promoting macrophage polarization,wound angiogenesis,cell proliferation,and cell migration,and by inhibiting excessive extracellular matrix ***,these structures can serve as a scaffold for components used in wound repair,and they can be developed into bioengineered EVs to support trauma *** the formulation of standardized culture,isolation,purification,and drug delivery strategies,exploration of the detailed mechanism of EVs will allow them to be used as clinical treatments for wound *** conclusion,MSCderived EV-based therapies have important application prospects in wound *** we provide a comprehensive overview of their current status,application potential,and associated drawbacks.

To improve the bit error rate(BER)performance of multi-user signal detection in satelliteterrestrial downlink non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)systems,an iterative signal detection algorithm based on soft interference cancellation with optimal power allocation is *** that power allocation has a significant impact on BER performance,the optimal power allocation is obtained by minimizing the average BER of NOMA *** to the allocated powers,successive interference cancellation(SIC)between NOMA users is performed in descending power *** each user,an iterative soft interference cancellation is performed,and soft symbol probabilities are calculated for soft *** improve detection accuracy and without increasing the complexity,the aforementioned algorithm is optimized by adding minimum mean square error(MMSE)signal estimation before detection,and in each iteration soft symbol probabilities are utilized for soft-decision of the current user and also for the update of soft interference of the previous *** results illustrate that the optimized algorithm ***-IDBSIC significantly outperforms joint multi-user detection and SIC detection by 7.57dB and 8.03dB in terms of BER performance.

Psychological Status and Warfarin Therapy in Patients after Valve Replacement during the COVID-19 Pandemic:A Cross-sectional Study

Objective:The standardization of warfarin anticoagulant therapy is the key to lifelong treatment for patients after heart valve *** present study explored the possible risk factors for anxiety and depression during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic and analyzed the influence of psychological state on medication ***:Eligible patients received a web-based questionnaire survey via the Wenjuanxing platform during outpatient *** was evaluated by the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS).Anxiety was evaluated by the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS).Medication adherence was evaluated by the Morisky ***:A total of 309 patients(aged 52.2±11.4 years)were included in the present *** SDS score of all included patients was 36.9±9.4 points,of which 11(3.6％)patients were diagnosed as having *** SAS score of all included patients was 43.1±9.3 points,of which 71(23％)patients were diagnosed as having *** patients(2.3％)had both anxiety and *** regression analysis revealed that only monthly income was an independent influencing factor for *** anxiety,patients who underwent repeated operations had a 2.264-fold greater risk,and patients who received combination medication had a 2.140-fold greater *** bleeding events and coagulation disorders could be observed in patients with anxiety,depression or *** anxiety occurred,patients showed worse medication ***,depression had no significant effect on medication ***:During the COVID-19 pandemic,the detection rate of mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression was high,which seriously affected the medication safety of *** of its influencing factors will provide a reference for further standardized regulation of warfarin anticoagulant therapy after valve replacement.
