Background:This study investigated the agreement between a new rebound tonometer,IC200,and IcarePRO and Goldmann applanation tonometry(GAT).Methods:This was a prospective cross-sectional *** measured the intraocular pressure(IOP)in 145 eyes of 145 glaucoma patients in the sitting position using GAT,IcarePRO,and *** and IC200 measurements were also obtained in the supine ***200 measurement was performed using two modes:single six(IC200-single)and automatic(IC200-continuous)six-measurements ***:All tonometers provided high reproducibility in both positions(all intraclass correlation coefficients>0.90),although it was highest with GAT,followed by IC200-continuous and IC200-single and then *** the sitting position,the mean(±SD)IOPs of GAT,IcarePRO,IC200-single,and IC200-continuous were 14.5±2.9 mmHg,13.3±3.2 mmHg,11.6±3.2 mmHg,and 11.5±3.2 mmHg,*** measured with IcarePRO or IC200 were significantly lower than those with GAT,particularly in patients with low *** measured with all tonometers were significantly elevated in the supine position as compared with the sitting position,but this difference was significantly greater with IC200-single and IC200-continuous compared with *** elevation was significant in eyes without bleb versus those with bleb,but this finding was not observed when IOP was measured with *** IOPs of the single and continuous modes of IC200 were interchangeable in both ***:GAT,IcarePRO,and IC200 had sufficiently high reproducibility,but measurements with IcarePRO may not be accurate in the supine *** of IOP in the supine position,especially in eyes with bleb,was more sensitively captured with IC200 than with IcarePRO.

A multi- pumose simulation method for the roll- formign is proposed. The forming pro- cesses of welded pipes are systematically simulated by using the method. The three-dimensional cu rved surfaces of sheet metals in forming processes are mathema tically expressed by using the shape fonction S(X) which represents flow pattern of each part of sheet metal. Through optimis- ing t e parameter n in s(X), the best approximation of the deformation of sheet metal is derived and the minimum power of deformation is obtained. A mathematical procedure of this analysis is systematically foimulated. The simulation method can be applied to the analysis and simulation for various roll- forming processes of welded pipes observed in commercial production line.

The Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC),proposed as a future Higgs boson factory,will operate at a center-of-mass energy of 240 GeV and will accumulate 5.6 ab−1 of integrated luminosity in 7 *** this study,we estimate the upper limit of BR(H→inv)for three independent channels,including two leptonic channels and one hadronic channel,at the *** on the full simulation analysis,the upper limit of BR(H→inv)could reach 0.26%at the 95%confidence *** the Stand Model(SM),the Higgs boson can only decay invisibly via H→ZZ∗→νν¯νν¯,so any evidence of invisible Higgs decays that exceed BR(H→inv)of the SM will indicate a phenomenon that is beyond the SM(BSM).The invariant mass resolution of the visible hadronic decay system ZH(Z→qq,H→inv)is simulated,and the physics requirement at the CEPC detector for reaching this is given.

Given the broad therapeutic application of SGLT2 inhibitors, we hypothesised that SGLT2 inhibition may exert its protective effects via alterations of the gut microbiome and tested this in a type 1 diabetic mouse model of diabetic *** To determine whether the treatment with two independent SGLT2 inhibitors affects gut health in a type 1 diabetic mouse *** The SGLT2 inhibitors empagliflozin or dapagliflozin(25 mg/kg/d) or vehicle dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO) were administered to C57 BL/6 J, Akita, Kimba and Akimba mice at 10 wk of age for 8 wk via their drinking water. Serum samples were collected and the concentration of succinate and the short chain fatty acid(SCFA) butyric acid was measured using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was performed to determine the concentration of insulin and leptin. Furthermore, the norepinephrine content in kidney tissue was determined using ELISA. Pancreatic tissue was collected and stained with haematoxylin and eosin and analysed using brightfield *** Due to the presence of the Akita allele, both Akita and Akimba mice showed a reduction in insulin production compared to C57 BL/6 J and Kimba ***, Akita mice also showed the presence of apoptotic bodies within the pancreatic islets. We report a case of hypovascular advanced hepa-tocellular carcinoma (HCC) successfully treated with a novel combination therapy of percutaneous ethanol-lipiodol injection (PELI) and intervention radiology (IVR),lipiodol-targetting IVR (Lipi-IVR). The present case had a hypovascular HCC (3 cm in diameter) located in the S6 region of the liver. Although the tumor was not detectable at all by both of early and late phase of helical dynamic computed tomography (CT),it could be detected by ultrasonography (US) as a low echoic space occupying lesion (SOL) beside the gallbladder and right kidney. Serum levels of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and AFP-L3 were extremely high. Combination therapy of PELI,firstly reported in our department,and IVR (PELI and IVR,lipiodol-targetting IVR) was performed twice for the treatment. PELI could effectively visualize the location of the tumor for IVR treatment and show the presence of a thin blood vessel branching from the right hepatic artery flowing into the lipiodol deposit. After treatment,the serum levels of AFP and AFP-L3 were rapidly decreased to normal and maintained for more than eight months. Thus,this case expressing the tremendous effect might give us insight into the effectiveness of the novel combination therapy of PELI and IVR for the treatment of hypovascular HCC.

How to Attract Interest in Health Materials: Lessons from Psychological Studies

Objective: Health materials need to target individuals who resist or are not interested in health behaviors. Attracting the interest of this audience is a crucial aspect of materials’ design. The present study aimed to review the findings of psychological studies on causes of interest and to discuss the applicability of these studies to the design of health materials. Methods: We used the backward and forward snowball method for our literature review. We identified 10 relevant publications as initial sources for snowballing through a systematic search of EBSCOhost (searching PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, ERIC, CINAHL and MEDLINE). Through backward and forward snowballing from these sources, 76 relevant publications were identified. Results: We identified properties and variables relevant to attracting interest and grouped them into four tactics: surprise;question;visualization;emotional appeal. Conclusion: Lessons from psychology gained in the present study may guide future studies and practices for attracting interest in health materials. The four tactics can be used to make health materials more interesting, as an example showed in the present study.
