Synthesis of Biodiesel Using ZrO_2 Polycrystalline Ceramic Foam Catalyst in a Tubular Reactor

With the help of the ceramic foam research efforts and preparation techniques, the ZrO2 polycrystalline ceramic foam catalyst was synthesized, and its characteristics, including the crystal structure, the phase composition, the acid–base properties, and the microstructure, were analyzed by XRD, SEM, Py-IR, and BET techniques. The performance of the ZrO2 polycrystalline ceramic foam catalyst in a tubular reactor was investigated via biodiesel synthesis using S. wilsoniana oil and methanol. The effects of reaction conditions(i.e., reaction temperature, reaction pressure, and volume ratio of methanol to S. wilsoniana oil) on transesterification efficiency were investigated, and the reaction conditions were optimized using RSM. The optimum reaction temperature, reaction pressure, and volume ratio of methanol to S. wilsoniana oil were determined to be 290 ℃, 10 MPa, and 4:1, respectively. Under this condition, the FAME content in the product oil reached 98.38%. The performance of the ZrO2 polycrystalline ceramic foam catalyst synthesized in this work for biodiesel synthesis from S. wilsoniana oil with a moisture content of 7.1% and an acid value of 130.697 mg KOH/g was examined, and the FAME content in the product oil was found to be 93% and 97.67%, respectively. The FAME content in the product oil exceeded 97% after five consecutive cycles(12 h per cycle of use) of the catalyst. The proposed catalyst represents a new type of solid catalyst with excellent acid resistance, water resistance, esterification efficiency, and catalytic stability.

Grain size is an important agronomic trait affecting grain yield,but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain to be ***,we isolated a dominant mutant,big grainy(bg3-D),which exhibits a remarkable increase of grain size caused by activation of the PURINE PERMEASE gene,***3/OSPUP4 is predominantly expressed in vascular tissues and is specifically suppressed by exogenous cytokinin *** profiling revealed that the distribution of different cytokinin forms,in roots and shoots of the bg3-D mutant,is *** reverse transcription-PCR(qRT-PCR)analysis indicated that expression of rice cytokinin type-A RESPONSE REGULATOR(OsRR)genes is enhanced in the roots of the bgj-D *** results suggest that OSPUP4 might contribute to the long-distance transport of cytokinin,by reinforcing cytokinin loading into vascular bundle ***,plants overexpressing OsPUP7,the closest homolog of OsPUP4,also exhibited a similar phenotype to the bg3-D ***,subcellular localization demonstrated that OSPUP4 was localized on the plasma membrane,whereas OSPUP7 was localized to the endoplasmic *** on these findings,we propose that OSPUP4 and OSPUP7 function in a linear pathway to direct cytokinin cell-to-cell transport,affecting both its long-distance movement and local allocation.

In this work,GaN-based light-emitting diodes(LEDs) with a p-GaN/i-InGaN short-period superlattice(SPSL) structure,p-GaN and undoped GaN last quantum barrier(LQB) have been numerically investigated by using the APSYS simulation *** has been found that the efficiency droop is significantly improved when the undoped GaN LQB in a typical blue LED is replaced by a p-GaN/i-InGaN SPSL *** to the simulation analysis,using the p-GaN/i-InGaN SPSL structure as LQB is beneficial to increasing the hole injection efficiency and decreasing the electron current ***,the radiative recombination and optical power are enhanced.

Diclinism is not only an interesting natural phenomenon in plant kingdom, but also of significance in the yield of crops, e.g. cucumber and watermelon. Cucumber has been a model plant for studying the diclinism for decades. However, it is stili obscure how the carpel primordia of cucumber male flower undergo the developmental processes after the initiation of their development. By showing morphological alternation, metabolic activity, as well as CFL gene expression, the present study demonstrated that the carpel primordia of cucumber male flowers maintained the characteristics of primordium until anthesis, although it developed significantly slower than that of the female flowers.

The effect of catalysts on the microwave pyrolysis of aspen pellets was studied.A range of chlorides,nitrates and metal-oxides were added at 2%of the aspen mass(air dry aspen pellet weight basis).Chlorides in particular were found to favor liquid yield,especially the yield of water phase *** liquid yield with added chlorides was 41%mass of the total biomass input,compared to 35%mass without ***-oxides were found to favor pyrolysis heavy oil,and thus total oil yield,since the yield of light oils seemed to be fairly *** were found to favor pyrolysis gas *** light oils and light oils blended with diesel were found to be a potential diesel fuel substitute.

A new kind of rigid polyurethane(PU)foam was synthesized from the oil phase of bio-oils from microwave-assisted pyrolysis of corn *** recipes for the PU foams consisted of polyol-rich bio-oils,water as blowing agent,polyethylene glycol(PEG)as both polyol donor and plasticizer,diphenylmethane-4,4’-diisocyanate(polymeric MDI)as cross-linking agent,silicon-based surfactant,and tin-based *** mechanical properties of rigid foams were measured with universal testing machine(Instron4206).The effects of individual ingredients on the physical and mechanical properties of the foams were *** was found that water content,bio-oil content,and isocyanate dosage were important variables in making PU foams in terms of mechanical strength,density,and cellular structure Under optimal conditions,the compression strength of the prepared PU foams reached 1130 kPa with a density of 152.9 g/*** results show that bio-oils are potential renewable polyol sources for making rigid PU foams.

Aiming at complex and changeable factors such as speech theme and environment,which make it difﬁcult for a speaker to prepare the speech text in a short time,this paper proposes a speech generation and demonstration system based on deep *** system is based on the Deep Learning Development Framework(PyTorch),trained through the theory of GPT-2 and the open source pretrained model,to generate multiple speeches according to the topics given by users,and the system generates theﬁnal speech and corresponding voice demon-stration audio through text modiﬁcation,speech synthesis and other technologies to help users quickly obtain the target document and *** show that the text generated by this model is smooth and easy to use,which helps shorten the preparation time of speakers and improves the conﬁdence of the impromptu *** addition,the paper explores the application prospects of text generation and has certain reference value.

Corn stover was liquefied using an industrial biodiesel glycerol as a liquefying agent at atmospheric pressure and low *** was found that the liquefaction yield increased with increasing glycerol-to-corn stover *** acid,added as a catalyst,was found to improve liquefaction *** hydroxyl number,moisture content,acid number,pH value,viscosity,density,elemental composition,and higher heating value of the liquefied corn stover samples were *** liquefied corn stover showed a high hydroxyl number of 270-310 mg KOH/*** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)results revealed the functional groups and confirmed the existence of the OH group in the liquefied corn stover,indicating that the liquefied corn stover is indeed a source of polyols and a potential chemical stock for the synthesis of polymers.
