Overexpression of IbSnRK1 enhances nitrogen uptake and carbon assimilation in transgenic sweetpotato

Nitrogen is an important nutrient for plant development. Nitrogen and carbon metabolisms are tightly linked to physiological functions in plants. In this study, we found that the IbSnRK1 gene was induced by Ca（NO3）2. Its overexpression enhanced nitrogen uptake and carbon assimilation in transgenic sweetpotato. After Ca（^15NO3）2 treatment, the -（15）N atom excess, -（15）N and total N content and nitrogen uptake efficiency（NUE） were significantly increased in the roots, stems, and leaves of transgenic plants compared with wild type（WT） and empty vector control（VC）. After Ca（NO3）2 treatment, the increased nitrate N content, nitrate reductase（NR） activity, free amino acid content, and soluble protein content were found in the roots or leaves of transgenic plants. The photosynthesis and carbon assimilation were enhanced. These results suggest that the IbSnRK1 gene play a important role in nitrogen uptake and carbon assimilation of sweetpotato. This gene has the potential to be used for improving the yield and quality of sweetpotato.

Poly（n-alkyl acrylate） with long side groups,namely,poly（lauryl acrylate）（PLA） was synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer（RAFT） polymerization,and the trithioester terminal groups were converted to thiol by reducing *** of the obtained polymer onto nano-silica modified with 3-（methacryloxy）propyl-trimethoxysilane（SiO2-MPS） was conducted by thiol-ene ‘click chemistry＇.PLA was characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance（1H NMR） and gel permeation chromatography（GPC）.Fourier transform infrared（FTIR） spectrometry and thermogravimetric analysis（TGA） were used to demonstrate the grafting reaction,and the grafted hairy nano-silica（SiO2-g-PLA） was viewed under a transmission electron microscope（TEM）.According to TGA,grafting ratio and grafting density of SiO2-g-PLA are 30.27％ and 0.013 chain/nm2,*** static water contact angle of SiO2-g-PLA is （80.10±2.97）°,which ensures its *** experiment was carried out to confirm its dispersibility in mixed solvents,indicating its potential application in coatings or composites.

We present a quantum game with the restricted strategic space and its realization with linear optical system, which can be played by two players who are separated remotely. This game can also be realized on any other quantum computers. We find that the constraint brings some interesting properties that are useful for making game models.

Based on the published animal studies,we systematically evaluated the outcomes of various materials for rotator cuff repair in animal models and the potentials of their clinical translation.74 animal studies were finally included,of which naturally derived biomaterials were applied the most widely(50.0%),rats were the most commonly used animal model(47.0%),and autologous tissue demonstrated the best outcomes in all animal *** biomechanical properties of naturally derived biomaterials(maximum failure load:WMD 18.68[95%CI 7.71-29.66];P=0.001,and stiffness:WMD 1.30[95%CI 0.01-2.60];P=0.048)was statistically significant in the rabbit *** rabbit model showed better outcomes even though the injury was severer compared with the rat model.

This study aimed to explore and improve the different economic values of Pinus koraiensis(Siebold and Zucc.)by examining the variations in 6 growth traits and 9 physicochemical wood properties among 53 *** half-sib *** traits assessed included height,diameter at breast height,volume,degree of stem straight-ness,stem form,and branch number per node,while wood properties assessed included density,fiber length and width,fiber length to width ratio,and cellulose,hemicel-lulose,holocellulose,lignin,and ash *** for degree of stem straightness and branch number per node,all other traits exhibited highly significant variations(P<0.01)among *** coefficients of variation ranged from 5.3(stem form)to 66.7%(ash content),whereas,the herit-ability ranged from 0.136(degree of stem straightness)to 0.962(ash content).Significant correlations were observed among growth traits and wood physicochemical *** component analysis identified four distinct groups representing growth traits,wood chemical and physical properties,and stem form ***-trait comprehensive evaluation identified three groups of elite families based on breeding objectives,including rapid growth,improved timber production for building and furniture materials,and pulpwood *** specific families should be used to establish new plantations.
