The age and sedimentary environment of the Silurian “Lower Red Beds” (LRBs)， which occur widely in South China， have long been controversial because of the scarcity of index fossils. Recently， these beds have been dated by trilobites as middle-late Aeronian to early Telychian in age. Here， we report abundant brachiopods from the LRBs in Wuhan， Middle Yangtze Region， including atrypides (Meifodia hunanensis， Zygospiraella sp. 1， Zygospiraella sp. 2.and Nalivkinia? sp.)， spiriferides (Striispirifer acuminiplicatus， Striispirifer? sp.)， strophomenides (Eostropheodonta? sp. and Katastrophomena modesta)， and linguliformeans (Anomaloglossa? sp. and Orbiculoidea? sp.). Most of these are common in the Leijiatun， Xiangshuyuan， Shihniulan， Niuchang， Lojoping， and Shamao formations in the Upper Yangtze Region. The discovery of brachiopods from the LRBs in Wuhan not only enrich the biodiversity of the LRBs in the Yangtze Region， where Meifodia， Zygospiraella， Katastrophomena and Eostropheodonta are first found in the LRBs， but also expand the paleogeographical distribution of brachiopods to Middle-Lower Yangtze Region that first radiated after the end-Ordovician extinction. In addition， this brachiopod fauna also provides important implications for the sedimentary environment of LRBs during the Llandovery， which is usually developed in the nearshore shallow-water (BA1-2.， althought this paper extends to the deeper parts of the shallow-marine (BA3-4).

This research focuses on addressing the challenges associated with image detection in low-light environments,particularly by applying artificial intelligence techniques to machine vision and object recognition *** primary goal is to tackle issues related to recognizing objects with low brightness *** this study,the Intel RealSense Lidar Camera L515 is used to simultaneously capture color information and 16-bit depth information *** detection scenarios are categorized into normal brightness and low brightness *** the system determines a normal brightness environment,normal brightness images are recognized using deep learning *** low-brightness situations,three methods are proposed for *** first method is the SegmentationwithDepth image(SD)methodwhich involves segmenting the depth image,creating amask from the segmented depth image,mapping the obtained mask onto the true color(RGB)image to obtain a backgroundreduced RGB image,and recognizing the segmented *** second method is theHDVmethod(hue,depth,value)which combines RGB images converted to HSV images(hue,saturation,value)with depth images D to form HDV images for *** third method is the HSD(hue,saturation,depth)method which similarly combines RGB images converted to HSV images with depth images D to form HSD images for *** experimental results,in normal brightness environments,the average recognition rate obtained using image recognition methods is 91%.For low-brightness environments,using the SD method with original images for training and segmented images for recognition achieves an average recognition rate of over 82..TheHDVmethod achieves an average recognition rate of over 70%,while the HSD method achieves an average recognition rate of over 84%.The HSD method allows for a quick and convenient low-light object recognition *** research outcome can be applied to nighttime surveillance systems or nighttime road safety systems

BACKGROUND Endophthalmitis occurring in silicone oil-filled eyes is a very rare occurrence,with reported incidence rates ranging between 0.07%and 0.039%.Traditional methods of management of infectious endophthalmitis include the removal of silicone oil,washout of the vitreous cavity,administration of intravitreal antibiotics,and reinjection of silicone *** SUMMARY Herein,we report the case of a 39-year-old man with unilateral endophthalmitis after pars plana vitrectomy and silicone oil *** injections of full-dose antibiotics and anterior chamber washout were used to treat the *** signs of retinal toxicity were observed during the follow-up *** Intravitreal full-dose antibiotic injections and anterior chamber washout are promising alternatives to traditional therapies for endophthalmitis in silicone oilfilled eyes.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) influences several million people around the globe， with a high prevalence in North America and Europe. Results from the studies about host-gut microbial interactions demonstrated that gut microbiota plays a critical role in the progression of IBD， and probiotics can significantly improve microflora dysbiosis and inflammatory response caused by intestinal pathogens. However， several limitations existed for the probiotics delivered to the intestine in the free form (non-encapsulated)， such as low pH and diverse digestive enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract， etc. To overcome the problems， several probiotic delivery systems were established and verified with effects. Here， the types and applications of probiotics in animal models and clinical studies are firstly reviewed in this paper. Subsequently， various types of probiotic delivery systems are elaborated， containing the well-known microcapsules and hydrogel delivery systems， and the engineered probiotic delivery systems are also introduced. Furthermore， mechanism of action associated with probiotics are illustrated， including maintaining gut microbiota barrier balance， modulating the immune response， and alleviating oxidative stress， etc. Finally， we discussed the relative advantages and disadvantages of different encapsulation methods， as well as future trends for further development of probiotic delivery systems with health benefits.

Houttuynia cordata,also known as Yuxingcao in Chinese,is a perennial herb in the Saururaceae *** is highly regarded for its medicinal properties,particularly in treating respiratory infections and inflammatory conditions,as well as boosting the human immune ***,a lack of genomic information has hindered research on the functional genomics and potential improvements of *** this study,we present a near-complete assembly of *** genome and investigate the biosynthetic pathway of flavonoids,specifically quercetin,using genomics,transcriptomics,and metabolomics *** genome of *** diverged from that of Saururus chinensis around 33.4 million years ago;it consists of 2.2. Gb with 76 chromosomes(4n=76)and has undergone three whole-genome duplication(WGD)*** WGDs played a crucial role in shaping the *** genome and influencing the gene families associated with its medicinal *** metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses,we identified key genes involved in the b-oxidation process for biosynthesis of houttuynin,one of the volatile oils responsible for the plant’s fishy *** addition,using the reference genome,we identified genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis,particularly quercetin metabolism,in *** discovery has important implications for understanding the regulatory mechanisms that underlie production of active pharmaceutical ingredients in traditional Chinese ***,the high-quality genome assembly of *** serves as a valuable resource for future functional genomics research and provides a solid foundation for genetic improvement of *** for the benefit of human health.
