Nonpolar cross-stacked super-aligned carbon nanotube membrane for efficient wastewater treatment

Membrane separation technology has made great progress in various practical applications,but the unsatisfactory separation performance of prevailing membrane materials hampers its further sustainable *** study proposed a novel nonpolar super-aligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)membrane,which was prepared with a layer-by-layer cross-stacking *** controlling the number of stacked SACNT layers,three kinds of SACNT membranes(SACNT_200,SACNT 300,and SACNT_400)were *** characterizations and filtration tests were performed to investigate their physico-chemical properties,surface wetting behavior,and filtration *** with two commercial membranes(Com_0.22 and Com_0.45),all the SACNT membranes achieved smoother and more uniform *** to the hexagonal graphene structure of CNTs,the surface chemistry of the SACNT membranes is simple and inert,thereby potentially eliminating the covalent-bonding-induced membrane ***,the SACNT membranes exhibited a typical nonpolar wetting behavior,with high contact angles for polar liquids(water:~124.9°-126.5°;formamide:~80.0°-83.99)but low contact angles for nonpolar diodomethane(~18.8°-20.99).This unique nonpolar feature potentially leads to weak interactions with polar ***,compared with the commercial membranes,the SACNT membranes obtained a significantly higher selectivity while achieving a comparable or higher permeability(depending on the number of stacked layers).Moreover,the SACNT membranes exhibited superior separation performance in various application scenarios,including municipal wastewater treatment(2.3 times higher cleaning efficiency),electro-assistant fouling inhibition(or even self-cleaning),and oil/water separation(>99.2%of separation efficiency),suggesting promising application prospects in various fields.

Anomaly Detection Algorithm of Power System Based on Graph Structure and Anomaly Attention

In this paper, we propose a novel anomaly detection method for data centers based on a combination of graphstructure and abnormal attention mechanism. The method leverages the sensor monitoring data from targetpower substations to construct multidimensional time series. These time series are subsequently transformed intograph structures, and corresponding adjacency matrices are obtained. By incorporating the adjacency matricesand additional weights associated with the graph structure, an aggregation matrix is derived. The aggregationmatrix is then fed into a pre-trained graph convolutional neural network (GCN) to extract graph structure ***, both themultidimensional time series segments and the graph structure features are inputted into a pretrainedanomaly detectionmodel, resulting in corresponding anomaly detection results that help identify abnormaldata. The anomaly detection model consists of a multi-level encoder-decoder module, wherein each level includesa transformer encoder and decoder based on correlation differences. The attention module in the encoding layeradopts an abnormal attention module with a dual-branch structure. Experimental results demonstrate that ourproposed method significantly improves the accuracy and stability of anomaly detection.

The output of an ultrasonic wave-driven nanogenerator(NG)has been found to depend on the excitation conditions and *** angle tests indicate that the effective area of an NG determines the amount of power that can be *** output power of an NG is also directly related to its distance from the ultrasonic source.A sinusoidal profile of the electrical output was observed when an NG was moved inside a long tube filled with water with the ultrasonic source located at one *** is due to the oscillation of the wave intensity inside the tube as a function of the distance from the excitation source.

Ofloxacin loaded M0S2 nanoflakes for synergistic mild-temperature photothermal/antibiotic therapy with reduced drug resistance of bacteria

Antibiotic resistance is an increasingly serious threat to global public health, which can lead to the decrease of the effectiveness ofantibiotics. The combination therapy of antibiotic and mild temperature photothermal therapy (PTT) is adopted to address this issue inthis work. An antibiotic-loaded nanoplatform is fabricated based on two-dimensional (2D) molybdenum disulfide (M0S2) nanoflakesas effective near-infrared (NIR) photothermal agent. The M0S2 nanoflakes is modified with positively charged quaternized chitosan(QCS) to improve the dispersion stability and enhance the interaction between M0S2 nanoflakes and bacterial membrane. TheQCS modified M0S2 nanoflakes (QCS-M0S2) is expected to adhere onto the membrane of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcusaureus (MRSA) and depolarize the bacterial membrane by local hyperthermia under NIR irradiation. A first-line antibiotic, ofloxacin(OFLX), can be loaded onto QCS-M0S2 by π-π stacking and hydrophobic interaction. Due to the combined antibiotic-photothermaltherapy, superior bactericidal ability was achieved at mild temperature (45℃) and low antibiotic concentration. Such synergisticmild-temperature photothermal/antibiotic therapy can not only avoid the damage to neighboring tissue by PTT, but also reduce thedevelopment of drug resistance, providing an innovative way for the treatment of bacterial infections.

Influence of Different Connection Types on Mechanical Behavior of Girder Trusses

The static test of two single light wood trusses and two girder trusses were carried out to explore theperformance enhancement effect of girder trusses and the influence of different connection types on the mechanicalbehavior, which was studied through the comparison of the test results of four trusses. It is found that the girder trussescan show better load-carrying capacity and anti-deforming ability compared with which simply increases the cross-sectionsize of the members. Because of the advantage of the connection materials and the non-fastening connection mechanism,the wood pin-connected truss has more ultimate bearing capacity which is 2.6 times of single truss, and better deformationresistance which is only 66.2% of the nailed one’s creep value.
