Anxiety and depression propensities in patients with acute toxic liver injury

We isolated various extracts from Hei Lao Hu, a well known traditional Chinese medicine, and found inhibitory effect on melanogenesis. Among them, an extract dose-dependently inhibited melanin synthesis in melan-a, mouse melanocytes. The extract showed more effectiveness than arbutin;melanin synthesis inhibitory activity treated with 2ppm of the extract was better than that with 50 ppm of arbutin. Using further high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) analysis, we identified a novel compound, kadsuralignan F with strong melanin synthesis inhibition in melan-a cells(IC50=2.7ppm). Western blot analysis demonstrated that kadsuralignan F significantly reduced melanogenic proteins including tyrosinase, tyrosinase related protein(TRP)-1, and TRP-2. These results suggested Hei Lao Hu has potential as an effective skin whitening agent.

AIM:To investigate anxiety and depression propensities in patients with toxic liver ***:The subjects were divided into three groups:a healthy control group(Group 1,n=125),an acute non-toxic liver injury group(Group 2,n=124),and a group with acute toxic liver injury group caused by noncommercial herbal preparations(Group 3,n=126).These three groups were compared and evaluated through questionnaire surveys and using the Hospital Anxiety-Depression Scale(HADS),Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI),Beck Depression Inventory(BDI),and the hypochondriasis ***:The HADS anxiety subscale was 4.9±2.7,5.0±3.0 and 5.6±3.4,in Groups 1,2,and 3,*** HADS depression subscale in Group 3 showed the most significant score(5.2±3.2,6.4±3.4 and 7.2±3.4in Groups 1,2,and 3,respectively)(P<0.01 vs Group 1,P<0.05 vs Group 2).The BAI and BDI in Group 3showed the most significant score(7.0±6.3 and 6.9±6.9,9.5±8.6 and 8.8±7.3,10.7±7.2 and 11.6±8.5in Groups 1,2,and 3,respectively)(BAI:P<0.01 vs Group 1,P<0.05 vs Group 2)(BDI:P<0.01 vs Group1 and 2).Group 3 showed a significantly higher hypochondriasis score(8.2±6.0,11.6±7.5 and 13.1±6.5in Groups 1,2,and 3,respectively)(P<0.01 vs Group 1,P<0.05 vs Group 2).CONCLUSION:Psychological factors that present vulnerability to the temptation to use alternative medicines,such as herbs and plant preparations,are important for understanding toxic liver injury.

为了降低无铅波峰焊中焊渣的生成,进行了在钎料中加入微量元素和采用新设备的研究。在250摄氏度下进行了小波峰钎焊焊渣生成实验,并且试验是在波峰焊接生产线上进行的。加入少量的锗和磷可以使Sn-3.5Ag焊渣的生成率降低。焊渣的化学成分分析表明焊渣中微量元素聚集区域是加入锗量的2-9倍,是加入磷量的4.5倍。焊渣中的主要氧化物是SnO,焊渣中的含氧量大约是5%,其中90%来自于金属。为了减少波峰焊中的焊渣,对一种新型的焊接附属设备进行了评定。用这种设备大约可以降低焊渣重量的50%。

The aim of this study is to identify and analyze ways to increase usage of destination website and motivate website visitors’intention to actually visit the *** sample population is South Koreans who visit the VisitBritain website,the homepage of Britain’s national tourism *** data for this study were collected by a self-participated online survey on the blog of VisitBritain Korea,which is directly linked to the VisitBritain Korea *** structural equation modeling,six hypotheses were *** results show that the destination image on the destination marketing organization(DMO)website,quality of the destination website design including three dimensions(information quality,system quality,and service quality),and customers’satisfaction formed by high quality of the website design have a significant impact on website visitors’use intention and increase their visiting intention to the *** upon the results of the analysis,managerial implications and areas for future research are proposed.

AIM: To compare the risk of developing advanced colorectal neoplasm(ACRN) according to age in ***: A total of 70428 Koreans from an occupational cohort who underwent a colonoscopy between 2003 and 2012 at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital were retrospectively selected. We evaluated and compared odds ratios(OR) for ACRN between the young-adults(YA < 50 years) and in the older-adults(OA ≥ 50 years). ACRN was defined as an adenoma ≥ 10 mm in diameter, adenoma with any component of villous histology, high-grade dysplasia, or invasive ***: In the YA group, age(OR = 1.08, 95%CI: 1.06-1.09), male sex(OR = 1.26, 95%CI: 1.02-1.55), current smoking(OR = 1.37, 95%CI: 1.15-1.63), family history of colorectal cancer(OR = 1.46, 95%CI: 1.01-2.10), diabetes mellitus related factors(OR = 1.27, 95%CI: 1.06-1.54), obesity(OR = 1.23, 95%CI: 1.03-1.47), CEA(OR = 1.04, 95%CI: 1.01-1.09) and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(OR = 1.01, 95%CI: 1.01-1.02) were related with an increased risk of ACRN. However, age(OR = 1.08, 95%CI: 1.06-1.09), male sex(OR = 2.12, 95%CI: 1.68-2.68), current smoking(OR = 1.38, 95%CI: 1.12-1.71), obesity(OR = 1.34, 95%CI: 1.09-1.65) and CEA(OR = 1.05, 95%CI: 1.01-1.09) also increased the risk of ACRN in the OA ***: The risks of ACRN differed based on age group. Different colonoscopic screening strategies are appropriate for particular subjects with risk factors for ACRN, even in subjects younger than 50 years.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection for early gastric cancer with undifferentiated-type histology:A meta-analysis

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endoscopicsubmucosal dissection(ESD) for early gastric cancer(EGC) with undifferentiated-type ***: A systematic literature review was conducted using the core databases. Complete resection,curative resection, en bloc resection, recurrence and adverse event rate were extracted and analyzed. A random effect model was applied. The methodological quality of the enrolled studies was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. Publication bias was evaluated using a funnel plot, the trim and fill method, Egger's test,and a rank correlation ***: Fourteen retrospective studies between2009 and 2014 were identified(972 EGC lesions with undifferentiated-type histology). The total en bloc and complete resection rates were estimated as92.1%(95%CI: 87.4%-95.2%) and 77.5%(95%CI:69.3%-84%), respectively. The total curative resection rate was 61.4%(95%CI: 44.5%-75.9%). The overall recurrence rate was 7.6%(95%CI: 3.4%-16%).Limited to histologically diagnosed expanded-criteria lesions, the en bloc and complete resection rates were91.2% and 85.6%, respectively. The curative resection rate was 79.8%.CONCLUSION: In this analysis, ESD is a technically feasible treatment modality for EGC with undifferentiatedtype histology. Long-term studies are needed to confirm these therapeutic outcomes.

Application of the Prague C and M criteria for endoscopic description of columnar-lined esophagus in South Korea

AIM:To ascertain whether the Prague circumferential(C) length and maximal(M) length criteria for grading the extent of Barrett's esophagus can be applied prior to its widespread application in South ***:Two hundred and thirteen consecutive cases with endoscopic columnar-lined esophagus(CLE) were included and classified according to the Prague C and M ***:Of 213 cases with CLE, the distribution of maximum CLE lengths was: 0.5-0.9 cm in 99 cases(46.5%); 1.0-1.4 cm in 63 cases(29.6%); 1.5-1.9 cm in 15 cases(7.0%); 2.0-2.4 cm in 14 cases(6.6%); 2.5-2.9 cm in 1 case(0.5%); and 7.0 cm in 1 case(0.5%). Twenty cases(9.4%) had columnar islands alone. Two hundred and eight cases(97.7%) lacked the circumferential CLE component(C0Mx). Columnar islands were found in 70 cases(32.9%), of which 20 cases(9.4%) had columnar islands ***:In regions where most CLE patients display short or ultrashort tongue-like appearance, more detailed descriptions of CLE's in < 1.0 cm lengths and columnar islands, as well as avoidance of repeating the prefix "C0" need to be considered in parallel with the widespread application of the Prague system in South Korea.

该研究的目的是分析种植距离和深度对小型骑行插秧机的动力输出(PTO)载荷谱的影响,以便对插秧机进行最佳设计。为了在实际种植过程中测量载荷数据,使用扭矩传感器、数据采集系统和逆变器开发了载荷测量系统。在土壤条件相似的田地里,选择了四种植距离(26 cm、35 cm、43 cm和80 cm)和三种种植深度(85 mm、105 mm和136 mm)进行了实地试验。使用雨量计数和Smith-Watson-Topper(SWT)方法将测量的载荷数据转换为载荷谱。再利用转换后的载荷谱和商业软件,根据不同的种植条件,对插秧机的安全因素进行了分析。所有种植条件的载荷谱显示,在108到109的高循环区域内,扭矩比相似。在不到108的低循环区域内,当种植深度增加,种植距离减小时,扭矩比增加。在所有深度条件下,PTO主动齿轮和从动齿轮的安全系数随着种植距离的增大而增加。在相同种植距离条件下,种植深度下降,则PTO齿轮的安全系数增加。考虑到不同种植条件下的工作负荷,该研究的结果可为插秧机PTO设计提供参考。
