＜正＞EMBRYONIC FL0WER1（EMF1） together with EMF2 has very important role in the maintenance of vegetative development by repressing directly the flower organ identity genes in Arabidopsis. To investigate EMF1-mediated vegetative development, we have analyzed molecular function of EMF1-Interacting protein （EMF1IP） 1, 6, and 9 that had been isolated from yeast two-hybrid screen using EMF1 as bait, and are predicted to encode a MAP kinase （EMF1IP1）, zinc-finger protein （EMF1IP6） and a DnaJ-domain protein （EMF1IP9）, respectively. Using yeast two-hybrid system, it was revealed that middle region of EMF1 shows strong interaction only with the EMF1IP1, whereas C-terminal region of EMF1 shows the interaction with the EMF1IP6 and 9. We also found that C-terminal region of EMF1IP1 and N-terminal region of EMF1IP6 are involved in the interaction with EMF1, and entire EMF1IP9 is necessary for interaction with EMFl. Interestingly, the N-terminal region of EMF1IP6 includes B-box zinc-finger domain, indicating that the B-box zinc-finger might play an important role in the protein-protein interaction. As results of subcellular localization assay of EMF1IPs, it was suggested that EMF1IP1 is localized in nucleus, EMF1IP6 in both cytoplasm and nucleus, and EMF1IP9 in cytoplasm. In addition, experiments using EMF1IPs::GUS and semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that EMF1 was expressed during most of vegetative developmental stages after germination, but not in floral clusters including inflorescence meristem. Especially EMF1 was strongly expressed during early growth stage of vegetative development. EMF1IPs were detected in all of developmental stages investigated except at 4 days after germination （DAG）, but differential expressions were observed during the developmental stages after 4 DAG These expression patterns suggest that the interaction between EMF1 and EMF1IPs might strongly occur during early growth stage. AIM To assess the performance of proposed scores specific for acute-on-chronic liver failure in predicting shortterm mortality among patients with alcoholic *** We retrospectively collected data from 264 patients with clinically diagnosed alcoholic hepatitis from January to December 2013 at 21 academic hospitals in Korea. The performance for predicting short-term mortality was calculated for Chronic Liver FailureSequential Organ Failure Assessment(CLIF-SOFA), CLIF Consortium Organ Failure score(CLIF-C OFs), Maddrey'sdiscriminant function(DF), age, bilirubin, international normalized ratio and creatinine score(ABIC), Glasgow Alcoholic Hepatitis Score(GAHS), model for end-stage liver disease(MELD), and *** Of 264 patients, 32(12%) patients died within 28 d. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve of CLIF-SOFA, CLIF-C OFs, DF, ABIC, GAHS, MELD, and MELD-Na was 0.86(0.81-0.90), 0.89(0.84-0.92), 0.79(0.74-0.84), 0.78(0.72-0.83), 0.81(0.76-0.86), 0.83(0.78-0.88), and 0.83(0.78-0.88), respectively, for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-SOFA had no statistically significant differences for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-C OFs was superior to that of DF, ABIC, and GAHS, while compar.ble to that of MELD and MELD-Na in predicting 28-d mortality. A CLIF-SOFA score of 8 had 78.1% sensitivity and 79.7% specificity, and CLIF-C OFs of 10 had 68.8% sensitivity and 91.4% specificity for predicting 28-d *** CLIF-SOFA and CLIF-C OF scores performed well, with compar.ble predictive ability for short-term mortality compar.d to the commonly used scoring systems in patients with alcoholic hepatitis.

Flowering is the primary stage of the plant developmental transition and is tightly regulated by environmental factors such as light and ***,the mechanisms by which temperature signals are integrated into the photoperiodic flowering pathway are still poorly ***,we demonstrate that HOS15,which is known as a GI transcriptional repressor in the photoperiodic flowering pathway,controls flowering time in response to low ambient *** 16℃,the hos15 mutant exhibits an early flowering phenotype,and HOS15 acts upstream of photoperiodic flowering genes(GI,CO,and FT).GI protein abundance is increased in the hos15 mutant and is insensitive to the proteasome inhibitor ***,the hos15 mutant has a defect in low ambient temperature-mediated GI degradation,and HOS15 interacts with COP1,an E3 ubiquitin ligase for GI *** analyses of the hos15 cop1 double mutant revealed that repression of flowering by HOS15 is dependent on COP1 at 16℃.However,the HOS15-COP1 interaction was attenuated at 16℃,and GI protein abundance was additively increased in the hos15 cop1 double mutant,indicating that HOS15 acts independently of COP1 in GI turnover at low ambient *** study proposes that HOS15 controls GI abundance through multiple modes as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and transcriptional repressor to coordinate appropriate flowering time in response to ambient environmental conditions such as temperature and day length.

Our study compar.s two commonly used solutions of oxacillin sodium, 5.0 mg/mL in either 0.9% sodium chloride (NS) or 5% dextrose water (D5W), for their continued suitability for IV usage, and stability of active compound over time, when stored at two different controlled temperatures for six weeks. Both solutions were stored in an intravenous infusion device commercially available as Accufuser? and kept at a continuously maintained temperature of either 4 ± 2?C (CT) or 25 ± 2?C (RT). Suitability for IV administration was assessed by measuring changes in macrographical transpar.ncy and pH over time, and drug stability was assessed by measuring changes in oxacillin concentration over time using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). After 6 weeks, concentrations of oxacillin were unchanged in the CT solutions, while both RT solutions showed significant decreases in the concentration of oxacillin after only two weeks. Final concentration compar.d to starting concentrations after 6 weeks at RT, were 36.57% in NS, while virtually no oxacillin was detectable in D5W. Also pH measurements showed a slight decrement at 2 weeks with RT, and at 6 weeks, there was a significant change in pH in both NS and D5W at RT. There was no significant change in color, transpar.ncy or appearance after 6 weeks in any of the oxacillin solutions stored in the Accufuser? infusion device. In summary, two commonly used IV solutions for oxacillin administration(5 mg/mL in NS or D5W) stored ready to use in the Accufuser? showed significant changes over time when maintained at RT, that would make the solutions inappropriate for therapeutic use. Both solutions when maintained in CT were not significantly altered and continued to be appropriate in pH and drug concentration for IV therapy. This suggests that ready-to-use solutions of oxacillin sodium in the Accufuser? infusion device can be kept at CT for up to 6 weeks safely but should not be stored at RT due to loss of potency and changes in

Interstitial lung disease （ILD） is a comprehensive term referring to a group of lung diseases affecting the interstitium of the lung. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis （IPF） is the most common idiopathic ILD, and nonspecific interstitial pneumonia （NSIP） is the second most common. As the name suggests, NSIP is diagnosed atter many other diseases are excluded. The main pathological finding in NSIP is homogeneous interstitial inflammation with or without fibrosis. NSIP can be categorized by cellular type or fibrotic type, according to the grade of inflammation and fibrosis. The cellular type has mostly inflammatory lesions with good responses to steroid, but the fibrotic type has a large proportion of fibrosis mixed with inflammatory lesions and a relatively poor response to steroid treatment So far, the exact mechanism underlying idiopathic lED has not been clarified. Determining key regulators of these ILDs will be helpful in the diagnosis and development of novel drugs for ILD.
