Reduced precision solution criteria for nonlinear model predictive control with the feasibility-perturbed sequential quadratic programming algorithm

We propose a novel kind of termination criteria, reduced precision solution (RPS) criteria, for solving optimal control problems (OCPs) in nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC), which should be solved quickly for new inputs to be applied in time. Computational delay, which may destroy the closed-loop stability, usually arises while non-convex and nonlinear OCPs are solved with differential equations as the constraints. Traditional termination criteria of optimization algorithms usually involve slow convergence in the solution procedure and waste computing resources. Considering the practical demand of solution precision, RPS criteria are developed to obtain good approximate solutions with less computational cost. These include some indices to judge the degree of convergence during the optimization procedure and can stop iterating in a timely way when there is no apparent improvement of the solution. To guarantee the feasibility of iterate for the solution procedure to be terminated early, the feasibility- perturbed sequential quadratic programming (FP-SQP) algorithm is used. Simulations on the reference tracking performance of a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) show that the RPS criteria efficiently reduce computation time and the adverse effect of computational delay on closed-loop stability.

Previous studies have shown that berberine has neuroprotective effects against Alzheimer’s disease,including antagonizing tau phosphorylation,and inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity and neural cell ***,its low bioavailability and adverse reactions with conventional administration limit its clinical *** this study,we prepared berberine nanoliposomes using liposomes characterized by low toxicity,high entrapment efficiency,and biodegradability,and modified them with ***-modified berberine nanoliposomes had uniform particle size and high entrapment *** used the lactoferrin-modified berberine nanoliposomes to treat a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease established by injection of amyloid-beta 1-42 into the lateral ***-modified berberine nanoliposomes inhibited acetylcholinesterase activity and apoptosis in the hippocampus,reduced tau over-phosphorylation in the cerebral cortex,and improved mouse *** findings suggest that modification with lactoferrin can enhance the neuroprotective effects of berberine nanoliposomes in Alzheimer’s disease.

Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich-repeat(NLR)genes comprise the largest family of plant disease-resis-tance *** NLR genes are phylogenetically divided into the TNL,CNL,and RNL *** copy numbers and subclass composition vary tremendously across angiosperm ***,the evolutionary associations between genomic NLR content and ecological adaptation,or between NLR content and signal transduction components,are poorly characterized because of limited genome *** this study,we established an angiosperm NLR atlas(ANNA,https://***/ANNA/)that includes NLR genes from over 300 angiosperm *** ANNA,we revealed that NLR copy numbers differ up to 66-fold among closely related species owing to rapid gene loss and ***,NLR contraction was associated with adaptations to aquatic,parasitic,and carnivorous *** convergent NLR reduction in aquatic plants resembles the lack of NLR expansion during the long-term evolution of green algae before the colonization of land.A co-evolutionary pattern between NLR subclasses and plant immune pathway components was also identified,suggesting that immune pathway deficiencies may drive TNL ***,we identified a conserved TNL lineage that may function independently of the EDS1-SAG101-NRG1 ***,these findings provide new insights into the evolution of NLR genes in the context of ecological adaptation and genome content variation.

The travelling wave method has been used to measure the drift mobility in the paramagnetic-insulator state of La^(0.75)Sr^(0.11)Ca^(0.14)MnO^(3) *** thermal activation of the drift mobility in manganites has been measured for the first *** mobility varies from 2.5×10^(-2)cm^(2)/Vs at 310K to about 9.2×10^(-2)cm^(2)/Vs at *** Arrhenius behaviours of the conductivity and drift mobility indicate that the transport process in manganites above the Curie temperature is dominated by the thermally assisted hopping of small polarons.

Abnormal mold level fluctuation is frequently observed in high-speed casting,especially for peritectic steels,which has been shown to severely deteriorate product *** an online electromagnetic sensor and an ibaAnalyzer are used to analyze the frequency and amplitude of massive mold level fluctuation data from the slab casting process of different steel grades using different casting speeds,slab widths and physical parameters of mold *** results show that in the slab continuous casting process of peritectic steels,the main frequency and equivalent amplitude of abnormal mold level fluctuations first increase and then decrease with increasing the carbon *** the production of various grades of steel,the main frequency of abnormal mold level fluctuation and the equivalent amplitude increase with increasing the casting speed,while the main frequency of abnormal mold level fluctuation changes little with increasing the casting *** main frequency of abnormal mold level fluctuation is positively related to the surface tension of the mold *** on these results,a new mechanism has been *** is shown that the abnormal mold level fluctuation is mainly induced by shell bulging while moving through the rollers,and resonance occurs when the frequency approaches the natural frequency of the molten steel in mold,which results in a large amplitude of the abnormal mold level *** on this mechanism,a new equation for the resonance frequency of molten steel is *** improved method based on this mechanism has proved to be effective in controlling abnormal mold fluctuations.

针对目前优化计算服务缺乏对一般用户的优化计算支持和灵活的资源共享方式,提出利用网格环境、支持网络计算资源以并行的、协同的方式提供面向服务的优化功能的计算服务系统,并设计了对系统性能具有重要影响的动态任务调度算法,从而使系统能够适应复杂过程系统优化计算以及网格环境的典型特征.相应地,系统采用多任务队列的任务管理方式和计算节点组的资源管理方式,为该调度策略提供实现基础.测试结果体现了基于该调度算法的优化计算服务系统的良好性能,并为设计在该系统下高效运行的并行算法提供了参考依据.

Comparative Analysis of Hina Gene Sequences in Wild (Hordeum spontaneum) and Cultivated (H. vulgare) Barleys

The Hina gene is one of the two known Hin genes for hardness, and its RNA expression is correlated with grain hardness and dry matter digestibility variation. In this study, only one clone ofHina gene was obtained from one barley accession. A total of 121 Hina gene sequences were isolated from 121 wild barley （Hordeum spontaneum） accessions in Israel, Iran, and Turkey, and then their molecular characteristics were compared with 97 Hina gene sequences from 74 cultivated barley （H. vulgare） lines in Europe and 23 landrace （H. vulgare） with global distribution and other 26 Hina gene sequences from cultivated barleys （H. vulgare） with unknown global distribution. Cis-acting regulatory element （CARE） searching revealed that there were different types of regulatory element for the Hina gene in wild and landrace/cultivated barleys. There were six consistent cis-acting binding sites in wild and landrace/cultivated barleys, whereas 8 to 16 inconsistent TATA-boxes were observed. In addition, three special elements （E2Fb, Spl, and boxS） were only observed in wild barley, while one （AT1-motif） was only found in landrace/cultivated barley. Forty-four deduced amino acid sequences of HINA from wild and landrace/cultivated barleys were obtained by deleting repetitive amino acid sequences, and they were clustered into two groups on the basis of Neighbor-Joining analysis. However, there was no obvious difference in the amino acid sequences of HINA between wild and landrace/cultivated barleys. Comparing to protein secondary structure of wheat PINA, it was indicated that HINA also existed a signal peptide. In addition, HINA was a hydrophilic protein on the basis of the protein properties and composition.

Although abundant research on the anisotropy of van der Waals(vd W)materials has been published,we undertake an in-depth study of their optical properties as they have an important guiding role for light control in two-dimensional(2D)*** an example,we study the reflectance of few-layered black phosphorus(BP)in the total internal reflection(TIR)mode in *** demonstrate that its optical anisotropy can be changed on a large scale by varying the incident angles,polarization states,and the in-plane rotation angles of the BP *** analysis indicates that the phenomena observed are common to all the atom-thick biaxial crystals,so these conclusions can be widely applied to other anisotropic 2D *** research furthers the current understanding of the properties of BP more comprehensively,and provides guidance for developing new optoelectronic applications,especially when BP and other atom-thick biaxial crystals are integrated with TIR devices.
