Multi-scenario land use prediction and layout optimization in Nanjing Metropolitan Area based on the PLUS model

The metropolitan area is a crucial spatial element in promoting new urbanization in *** possesses theoretical and empirical value in the determination of the evolutionary patterns and development trends necessary for regional integration and high-quality *** study focused on Nanjing Metropolitan Area,the first national metropolitan area in China,and established three development scenarios by combining ecological–economic spatial conflict(EESC)zones and national key ecological functional *** scenarios simulate the spatial distribution of future land use and land cover change(LUCC)using the development zone planning function of the patch generation land use simulation(PLUS)*** results show that:(1)Between 2000 and 2020,the most prominent characteristics of land use change were largely the massive expansion of built-up land and the significant decline of farmland,while changes in the area of ecological land were less evident.(2)EESC areas experienced significant changes over the past 20 years,but the overall level of conflict was *** land was the main land use type in the lowest-conflict area,while built-up land was the main land use type in the highest-conflict area.(3)From 2030 to 2050,further expansion of built-up areas is expected,with continued decrease of *** regulation of these land use changes can be achieved through different development zone *** economic development scenario had the largest built-up land area,while the ecological protection scenario had the largest farmland *** study simulates the spatial pattern changes in the metropolitan area based on spatial conflict patterns and national main functional area planning process,providing a scientific reference for future spatial planning and management.

This work studied the microstructure,mechanical properties and damping properties of Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66) and Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)alloys *** difference in the evolution of the long-period stacked ordered(LPSO)phase in the two alloys during heat treatment was the *** morphology of the as-cast Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)presented a disordered *** heat treatment at 773 K for 2 hours,the eutectic phase was integrated into the matrix,and the LPSO phase maintained the 18R *** Zn partially replaced Ni,the crystal grains became rounded in the cast alloy,and lamellar LPSO phases and more solid solution atoms were contained in the matrix after heat treatment of the Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)*** Zn and the heat treatment had a significant effect on *** dislocation internal friction peaks and grain boundary internal friction peaks were found after temperature-dependent damping of the Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)and Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)*** heat treatment,the dislocation peak was significantly increased,especially in the alloy Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2).*** annealed Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)alloy with a rod-shaped LPSO phase exhibited a good damping performance of 0.14 atε=10^(−3),which was due to the difference between the second phase and solid solution atom *** factors also affected the dynamic modulus of the *** results of this study will help in further development of high-damping magnesium alloys.

As a part of a giant trending fault system in the Asian continent and one where a strong zone of left strikeslip fault is present,the Altyn Orogenic belt(AOB)has become an important focus for *** rocks are widely distributed across the ***,many investigations have focused primarily on Paleozoic igneous rocks;discussion of Mesozoic related igneous activity is often *** we present the result of studies of representative diorite and granite rocks outcropping in the AOB,within the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,South Altyn,*** present new zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb age,geochemical,and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic data for these sample suites,identifying them as typical igneous rocks formed between 238±1.5 and 238.8±1.1 *** rocks that we studied fall into the alkaline series,also enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE),some large ion lithophile elements(LILE;e.g.,Rb,Ba,Sr,and K),Pb,Th and U,and depleted in heavy rare earth elements(HREE),Nb,Ta,Hf,and *** granite and diorite have high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios(0.7062-0.7114),negativeεNd(t)values(-8.8 to-11.3),εHf(t)values(-8.7 to-18.7),and relatively constant Pb isotopic ratios((206-Pb/204Pb)i=6.74-17.884,(207Pb/204Pb)i=15.51-15.58,and(208Pb/204Pb)i=35.36-38.04),*** suggests that the magmas parental to these rocks were generated from the partial melting of the ancient *** parental magmas to these rocks experienced a degree of fractionation of plagioclase,K-feldspar,and hornblende,possibly during rapid magma *** on these studies,we propose a reasonable model for the origin of the investigated rocks from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of South Altyn,which involves crustal thickening,lithospheric extension,and asthenosphere upwelling,that induced crustal melting.

Yttrium(Y)is a critical metallic element that is used widely in modern scientific,technological,and industrial *** in the Zhijin area of Guizhou Province,China,are famous for Y enrichment,but the enrichment characteristics and sources remain *** studies suggested that the sources of rare earth elements(REEs,La-Lu)and Y(REYs,La-Lu+Y)were related to hydrothermal ***,this study presents evidence refuting that hypothesis,with major and trace elemental data collected with quadrupoleinductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(Q-ICPMS)*** data show that Y in Zhijin REYscontaining phosphorites has a normal distribution and is particularly enriched relative to other *** Y enrichment degree is different at different∑REY ***,the Y enrichment degree is higher at lower∑REY values and lower at higher∑REY *** REYs-containing phosphorites show features of primary *** REEs and Y have good correlations with P2 O5 in the phosphorites with low REYs contents(total REYs535 ppm),REEs have a good correlation with P2 O5 but Y does *** enrichment processes of REYs are suggestive of complex sources of ***,seafloor hydrothermal fluids were not the direct source of *** seawater mixed with terrestrial sources might have contributed to the origin of Y *** study could lead to improvements in Y mineral resource explorations and the situation involving the global REYs supply crisis.

Smart materials that integrate multi-stimuli response,full reversibility,and dual-visual read-out channel are highly desired for anticounterfeiting and information encryption ***,we developed a multiresponsive perchlorate terpyridyl Pt(Ⅱ)nano complex which could undergo fully reversible conversion between three forms stimulated by water or formaldehyde molecule due to the extent of Pt–Pt ***,a dual-visual channel,i.e.,the colorimetric channel changed from yellow to orange or red and the corresponding luminescent channel from orange to orange-red or red,has also been *** weak and equivalent strength of ion-dipole interaction and hydrogen bond that generated between formaldehyde/water and Pt(II)salt result in the easy-control reversibility between the three ***,by introducing different polymer matrices,1Cl·ClO_(4)@PMMA(1Cl·ClO_(4):[Pt(tpy)Cl]·ClO4,tpy:2,2':6',2''-terpyridine),PMMA:poly(methyl methacrylate))and 1Cl·ClO4@PVA(PVA:polyvinyl alcohol)are successfully constructed,which exhibit different reversible behaviors since the PMMA and PVA matrix exert different influences on the strength of *** smart Pt(II)salt nanostructures present great potential for high-security-level anticounterfeiting application.

Individual participation of pollutants in the pollution load should be estimated even if roughly for the appropriate environmental management of a river *** is difficult to identify the sources and to quantify the load, especially in modeling nonpoint *** this study a revised model was established by integrating point and nonpoint sources into one-dimensional Streeter-Phelps(S-P) model on the basis of real-time hydrologic data and surface water quality monitoring data in the Jilin Reach of the Songhua River *** oxygen demand(COD) and ammonia nitrogen(NH 3-N) loads were *** showed that COD loads of point source and nonpoint source were 134 958 t/yr and 86 209 t/yr, accounting for 61.02% and 38.98% of total loads, *** 3-N loads of point source and nonpoint source were 16 739 t/yr and 14 272 t/yr, accounting for 53.98% and 46.02%, *** source pollution was stronger than nonpoint source pollution in the study area at *** water quality of upstream was better than that of downstream of the rivers and *** is indispensable to treat industrial wastewater and municipal sewage out of point sources, to adopt the best management practices to control diffuse pollutants from agricultural land and urban surface runoff in improving water quality of the Songhua River *** revised S-P model can be successfully used to identify pollution source and quantify point source and nonpoint source loads by calibrating and validating.

To the Editor:Chronic granulomatous disease(CGD)is an inherited primary immunodeficiency disease characterized by recurrent life-threatening bacterial or fungal infection and tissue granuloma formation.^([1])Pulmonary infection is the most frequent manifestation,affecting nearly 80%of patients,[2]and remains the major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with *** of the pathogenic microorganisms responsible for first-episode pulmonary infection provide information on the spectrum of infection in patients with CGD,help guide the empirical choice of antibiotics or antifungal therapy,and contribute to the early identification and management of *** is the commonest causative agent of pulmonary infection,but the distribution of other pathogens varies among countries.^([2–5])Few studies have investigated the etiology of pulmonary infection in CGD in a large cohort in China.

Buildings with large open spaces in which chemicals are handled are often exposed to the risk of *** fluid dynamics is a useful and convenient way to investigate contaminant dispersion in such large *** turbulent Schmidt number(Sc_(t))concept has typically been used in this regard,and most studies have adopted a default *** studied the concentration distribution for sulfur hexafluoride(SF_(6))assuming different emission rates and considering the effect of Sc_(t).Then we examined the same problem for a light gas by assuming hydrogen gas(H_(2))as the *** SF_(6) was considered as the contaminant gas,a variation in the emission rate completely changed the concentration *** the emission rate was low,the gravitational effect did not take *** both low and high emission rates,an increase in S_(ct) accelerated the transport rate of SF_(6).In contrast,for H_(2) as the contaminant gas,a larger S_(ct) could induce a decrease in the H_(2) transport rate.
