Combined effects of elevated temperature and CO_2 concentration on Cd and Zn accumulation dynamics in Triticum aestivum L.

A simulated climate warming experiment was conducted to evaluate the combined effects of elevated temperature and CO_2 concentration on the bioaccumulation,translocation and subcellular distributions of Cd and Zn in wheat seedlings（Triticum aestivum *** 1.） at Dingxi,Gansu Province,*** objective was to find evidence that global climate change is affecting the bioaccumulation of Cd and Zn in *** *** *** results showed that compared to control A,elevated temperature and CO_2 increased Cd bioaccumulation in the shoots by 1.4–2.5 times,and increased that in the roots by 1.2–1.5times,but decreased Zn levels in wheat shoots by 1.4–2.0 times,while decreased that in the roots by 1.6–1.9 ***,temperature and CO_2 concentration increase also led to increased Cd concentration,and decreased Zn concentration in subcellular compartments of wheat *** largest Cd concentration increase（174.4%） was observed in the cell wall and debris fractions of shoots after they were subjected to the highest CO_2 and temperature treatment（TC3）.The largest Zn concentration decrease（53.1%） was observed in the soluble（F3） fractions of shoots after they were subjected to the medium CO_2 and temperature treatment（TC2）.The temperature and CO_2 increase had no significant effect on the proportional distribution of Cd and Zn in the subcellular *** root-to-shoot translocation of Cd increased with the increasing temperature and CO_2 ***,the Zn distributions only fluctuated within a small range.

Preparation,characterization and photocatalytic performance of Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts

A series of Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts with different Mo-dopant concentrations have been prepared by a grind- ing-calcination method. The structure of these photocatalysts was characterized by a variety of methods, including N2 physical adsorption, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, Fourier transform infrared （FT-IR） spectroscopy, photoluminescence （PL） emission spectroscopy, and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy （DRS）. It was found that Mo6＋ could enter into the crystal lattice of ZnO due to the radius of MO6＋（0.065 nm） being smaller than that of Zn2＋（0.083 nm）. XRD results indicated that Mo6＋ suppressed the growth of ZnO crystals. The FT-IR spectroscopy results showed that the ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping has a higher level of surface hydroxyl groups than pure ZnO. PL spectroscopy indicated that ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping also exhibited the largest reduction in the intensity of the emission peak at 390 nm caused by the recombi- nation of photogenerated hole-electron pairs. The activities of the Mo-doped ZnO photocatalysts were investigated in the pho- tocatalytic degradation of acid orange II under UV light （2 = 365 nm） irradiation. It was found that ZnO with 2 wt.% Mo-doping showed much higher photocatalytic activity and stability than pure ZnO. The high photocatalytic performance of the Mo-doped ZnO can be attributed to a great improvement in the surface properties of ZnO, higher crystallinity and lower recombination rate of photogenerated hole-electron （e-/h＋） pairs. Moreover, the undoped Mo species may exist in the form of MoO3 and form MoO3/ZnO heterojunctions which further favors the separation of e/h＋ pairs.

Rts: learning robustly from time series data with noisy label

Significant progress has been made in machine learning with large amounts of clean labels and static data. However, in many real-world applications, the data often changes with time and it is difficult to obtain massive clean annotations, that is, noisy labels and time series are faced simultaneously. For example, in product-buyer evaluation, each sample records the daily time behavior of users, but the long transaction period brings difficulties to analysis, and salespeople often erroneously annotate the user’s purchase behavior. Such a novel setting, to our best knowledge, has not been thoroughly studied yet, and there is still a lack of effective machine learning methods. In this paper, we present a systematic approach RTS both theoretically and empirically, consisting of two components, Noise-Tolerant Time Series Representation and Purified Oversampling Learning. Specifically, we propose reducing label noise’s destructive impact to obtain robust feature representations and potential clean samples. Then, a novel learning method based on the purified data and time series oversampling is adopted to train an unbiased model. Theoretical analysis proves that our proposal can improve the quality of the noisy data set. Empirical experiments on diverse tasks, such as the house-buyer evaluation task from real-world applications and various benchmark tasks, clearly demonstrate that our new algorithm robustly outperforms many competitive methods.

Interactions between engineered nanoparticles and dissolved organic matter: A review on mechanisms and environmental effects

Dissolved organic matter（DOM） is ubiquitous in the environment and has high *** engineered nanoparticles（ENPs） are released into natural systems, interactions of DOM with ENPs may significantly affect the fate and transport of ENPs, as well as the bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs to organisms. However, because of the complexity of DOM and the shortage of useful characterization methods, large knowledge gaps exist in our understanding of the interactions between DOM and ENPs. In this article, we systematically reviewed the interactions between DOM and ENPs, discussed the effects of DOM on the environmental behavior of ENPs, and described the changes in bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs caused by DOM. Critical evaluations of published references suggest further need for assessing and predicting the influences of DOM on the transport,transformation, bioavailability, and toxicity of ENPs in the environment.

Dynamic analysis of slab track on multi-layered transversely isotropic saturated soils subjected to train loads

The dynamic responses of a slab track on transversely isotropic saturated soils subjected to moving train loads are investigated by a semi-analytical approach. The track model is described as an upper Euler beam to simulate the rails and a lower Euler beam to model the slab. Rail pads between the rails and slab are represented by a continuous layer of springs and dashpots. A series of point loads are formulated to describe the moving train loads. The governing equations of track-ground systems are solved using the double Fourier transform, and the dynamic responses in the time domain are obtained by the inverse Fourier transform. The results show that a train load with high velocity will generate a larger response in transversely isotropic saturated soil than the lower velocity load, and special attention should be paid on the pore pressure in the vicinity of the ground surface. The anisotropic parameters of a surface soil layer will have greater influence on the displacement and excess pore water pressure than those of the subsoil layer. The traditional design method taking ground soil as homogeneous isotropic soil is unsafe for the case of RE 〈 1 and RG 〈 1, so a transversely isotropic foundation model is of great significance to the design for high train velocities.

An analysis in metal barcode label design for reference

We employ nondestructive evaluation involving AC field measurement in detecting and identifying metal barcode labels,providing a reference for *** the magnetic scalar potential boundary condition at notches in thin-skin field theory and 2D Fourier transform,we introduce an analytical model for the magnetic scalar potential induced by the interaction of a high-frequency inducer with a metal barcode label containing multiple narrow saw-cut notches,and then calculate the magnetic field in the free space above the metal barcode *** the simulations of the magnetic field,qualitative analysis is given for the effects on detecting and identifying metal barcode labels,which are caused by metal material,notch characteristics,exciting inducer properties,and other factors that can be used in metal barcode label design as *** results are in good accordance with experiment results.

Control of fractional chaotic and hyperchaotic systems based on a fractional order controller

We present a new fractional-order controller based on the Lyapunov stability theory and propose a control method which can control fractional chaotic and hyperchaotic systems whether systems are commensurate or incommensurate. The proposed control method is universal, simple, and theoretically rigorous. Numerical simulations are given for several fractional chaotic and hyperchaotic systems to verify the effectiveness and the universality of the proposed control method.
