Li-Zn alloy patch for defect-free polymer interface film enables excellent protection effect towards stable Li metal anode

Constructing a smart polymer film with favorable lithium（Li） transport capability and mechanical flexibility for suppressing Li dendrite growth is an effective strategy. Unfortunately, the porosity and the swelling of the polymer membrane cannot completely prevent liquid electrolyte from sweeping through the artificial protection film, severely deteriorating the cyclic performance. Herein, we propose a defectfree hybrid film that consists of Li+conductive lithium polyacrylate（LiPAA） polymer interface layer and Li-Zn alloy patch to tackle the critical problems of traditional polymer composite passivation film. The pinhole leaks of the polymer matrix are self-filled by Li-Zn alloy patches, enhancing the integrity of LiPAA film. Consequently, a defect-free hybrid film is nailed flat against the Li metal anode, exhibiting extraordinary stability in the liquid electrolyte and enabling perfect protection effect. This facile strategy produces a promising anode for next generation Li batteries.

Herein,we present a method for the homogeneous hydrogenation of nitroarenes to produce anilines using low catalyst loading(1 mo%)of copper N-heterocyclic carbene complexes as the catalyst and ammonia borane as the source of hydrogen.A wide range of nitroarenes,featuring diverse functional groups,were selectively transformed into their corresponding primary aromatic amines with high *** process can be readily scaled up and exhibits compatibility with various sensitive functional groups,including halogen,trifluoromethyl,aminomethyl,alkenyl,cyano,ester,amide,and ***,this catalytic methodology finds application in the synthesis of essential drug *** investigations suggest that the in-situ-generated Cu-H species may serve as active intermediates,with reduction pathways involving species such as azobenzene,1,2-diphenylhydrazine,nitrosobenzene,and N-phenylhydroxylamine.

This study investigates the fabrication process of Zn-diffused ridge waveguides in periodically poled magnesium-doped lithium niobate(PPMgO:LN).A controlled variable method is used to study the effects of diffusion temperature,diffusion time,ZnO film thickness,and barrier layer thickness on the surface domain depolarization and waveguide quality of PPMgO:LN.A special barrier layer is proposed that can automatically lift off from the sample surface,which increases the depth of Zn doping and reduces the surface loss of the *** optimizing the process parameters,we fabricate Zn-diffused PPMgO:LN ridge waveguides with a length of 22.80 mm and a period of 18.0μ*** above waveguides can make a second harmonic generation(SHG)at 775 nm with an output power of 90.20 mW by a pump power of 741 mW at 1550 *** corresponding conversion efficiency is 3.160%/W·cm2,and the waveguide loss is approximately 0.81 dB/*** results demonstrate that high-efficiency devices can be obtained through the fabrication process described in this paper.

To better characterize the properties of surface-initiated polymers, simultaneous bulk-and surface-initiated polymerizations are usually carried out by assuming that the properties of the surface-initiated polymers resemble those of the bulk-initiated polymers. Through a Monte Carlo simulation using a heterogeneous stochastic reaction model, it was discovered that the bulk-initiated polymers exhibit a higher molecular weight and a lower dispersity than the corresponding surface-initiated polymers, which indicates that the equivalent assumption is invalid. Furthermore, the molecular weight distributions of the two types of polymers are also different, suggesting different polymerization mechanisms. The results can be simply explained by the heterogeneous distributions of reactants in the system. This study is helpful to better understand surface-initiated polymerization.

Thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) materials with lowered the rmal and oxygen ion conductivity can provide thermal and oxidative protection for high te mperature hot-end components in aero nautical engines and gas turbines,The rare-earth tantalate RETaO_(4)(RE=Dy,Gd and Sm) ceramics with monoclinic(m) phase were successfully synthesized via spark plasma *** vacancies responsible for the thermal and oxygen ion conductivities of RETaO_(4) were demonstrated by atomic-resolution energy dispersive Xray and X-ray photoelectron *** the three samples,DyTaO_(4) has excellent oxygen/thermal barrier *** to the current service thermal barrier coating material ZrO_(2)-8 wt% Y_(2)O_(3)(8 YSZ),DyTaO_(4) has an ultra-low oxygen ion conductivity benefiting from low oxygen vacancy concentration and strong stretching force *** intrinsic thermal conductivity of DyTaO_(4)is 68.2% less than that of 8 ***,the thermal expansion rate curves indicate that the phase transformation does not happen from room te mperature to 1200℃.The above results demonstrate that high-growth rate the rmally grown oxide can be retarded by creating dense DyTaO_(4) coating with lowered thermal and oxygen ion conductivity.

Depression is high in prevalence rate, recurrence rate and disability rate. Acupuncture is effective on depression. The paper reviewed the regulatory effect of acupuncture on five prominent signaling pathways, i.e. mitogen activated protein kinase (maPK), Wnt/β-catenin, Notch, adenyl ate cyclase/cyclic adenosine phosphate/protein kinase (AC/cAMP/PKA) and NO/cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)； and elaborated the structure of each signaling pathway, the association with depression onset, and the relevant research progress of acupuncture in treatment of depression. In view of the regulation of signal pathways, acupuncture can up-regulate AC/cAMP/PKA and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), promote the expression of neurotrophic factors or Bcl-2, prevent from and repair neuronal damage, advance neurogenesis and improve synaptic plasticity； it can modulate the Wnt/β-catenin and Notch signal pathways to protect neurons and increase cell proliferation； and down-regulate JNK and up-regulate NO/cGMP signal pathways to inhibit stress that leads to abnormal apoptosis of neurosis and attenuate neurotoxicity and neuronal damage so that anti-depression of acupuncture is obtained. This review provides a new approach to the mechanism research of acupuncture in treatment of depression through regulating the relevant single pathways.

Flexible interdigitated layered framework with multiple accessible active sites for high-performance CH_(3)I capture

The development of adsorbent materials for effective capture of radioactive iodomethane(CH_(3)I) from the off-gas of used nuclear fuel reprocessing, remains a significant and challenging line of research because currently state-of-art adsorbents still suffer from low binding affinity with CH_(3)I. Here, we proposed a brand-new adsorption topological structure by developing a 2D interdigitated layered framework, named SCU-20, featuring slide-like channel with multiple active sites for CH_(3)I capture. The responsive rotating-adaptive aperture of SCU-20 enables the optimal utilization of all active sites within the pore for highly selective recognition and capture of CH_(3)I. A record-breaking CH_(3)I uptake capacity of 1.84 g/g was achieved under static sorption conditions with saturated CH_(3)I vapor. Both experimental and theoretical findings demonstrated that the exceptional uptake of SCU-20 towards CH_(3)I can be attributed to the confined physical electrostatic adsorption of F sites, coupled with the chemical nitrogen methylation reaction with uncoordinated N atoms of pyrazine. Moreover, dynamic CH_(3)I uptake capacity potentially allows for the capture of CH_(3)I in simulated real-world off gas reprocessing conditions. This study highlights the potential of SCU-20 as a promising candidate for efficient capture of iodine species and contributes to the development of effective solutions for radioactive iodine remediation.

Background: Obesity is a common public health issue and is currently deemed a disease. Research has shown that the risk of gallstones in individuals with obesity is elevated. This study aimed to explore the bile proteomics differences between cholelithiasis patients with obesity and normal body weight. Methods: Bile samples from 20 patients(10 with obesity and 10 with normal body weight) who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy at our center were subjected to tandem mass tag labeling(TMT) and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS), followed by further bioinformatic analysis. Results: Among the differentially expressed proteins, 23 were upregulated and 67 were downregulated. Bioinformatic analysis indicated that these differentially expressed proteins were mainly involved in cell development, inflammatory responses, glycerolipid metabolic processes, and protein activation cascades. In addition, the activity of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR, a subfamily of nuclear receptors) signaling pathway was decreased in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) enrichment analysis. Two downregulated proteins in the PPAR signaling pathway, APO A-Ⅰ and APO A-Ⅱ, were confirmed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Conclusions: The PPAR signaling pathway may play a crucial role in the development of cholelithiasis among patients with obesity. Furthermore, biliary proteomics profiling of gallstones patients with obesity is revealed, providing a reference for future research.
