Gravitational waves from the vacuum decay with LISA

We investigate the gravitational wave spectrum originating from the cosmological first-order phase *** compare two models:one is a scalar field model without gravitation,while the other is a scalar field model with *** on the sensitivity curves of the LISA space-based interferometer on the stochastic gravitational-wave background,we compare the difference between the gravitational wave spectra of the former and the latter cases obtained from the bubble collision *** particular,we numerically calculate the speed of the bubble wall before collision for the two *** demonstrate that the difference between the amplitudes of these spectra can clearly distinguish between the two *** expect that the LISA with Signal to Noise Ratio=10 could observe the spectrum as the fast first-order phase transition.

Ethyl acetate fraction of Sargassum pallidum extract attenuates particulate matter-induced oxidative stress and inflammation in keratinocytes and zebrafish

Objective:To evaluate the effect of the ethyl acetate fraction derived from Sargassum pallidum extract against particulate matter(PM)-induced oxidative stress and inflammation in HaCaT cells and ***:HaCaT cells and zebrafish were used to evaluate the protective effects of the ethyl acetate fraction of Sargassum pallidum extract against PM-induced oxidative stress and *** production of nitric oxide(NO),intracellular ROS,prostaglandin E_(2)(PGE_(2)),and pro-inflammatory cytokines,and the expression levels of COX-2,iNOS,and NF-κB were evaluated in PM-induced HaCaT ***,the levels of ROS,NO,and lipid peroxidation were assessed in the PM-exposed zebrafish ***:The ethyl acetate fraction of Sargassum pallidum extract significantly decreased the production of NO,intracellular ROS,and PGE_(2) in PM-induced HaCaT *** addition,the fraction markedly suppressed the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and inhibited the expression levels of COX-2,iNOS,and NF-κ***,it displayed remarkable protective effects against PM-induced inflammatory response and oxidative stress,represented by the reduction of NO,ROS,and lipid peroxidation in ***:The ethyl acetate fraction of Sargassum pallidum extract exhibits a protective effect against PM-induced oxidative stress and inflammation both in vitro and in vivo and has the potential as a candidate for the development of pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical products.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of Catalpa bignonioides fruit extract on the promotion of muscle growth and muscular capacity in vitro and in ***:Cell viability was measured using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide *** proliferation was assessed using a 5-bromo-2’-deoxyuridine(BrdU)assay *** blot analysis was performed to determine the protein expressions of related *** effects of Catalpa bignonioides extract were investigated in mice using the treadmill exhaustion test and whole-limb grip strength *** composition analysis was performed using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results:Catalpa bignonioides extract increased the proliferation of C2C12 mouse myoblasts by activating the Akt/mTOR signaling *** also induced metabolic changes,increasing the number of mitochondria and glucose metabolism by phosphorylating adenosine monophosphate-activated protein *** an in vivo study,the extract-treated mice showed improved motor abilities,such as muscular endurance and grip ***,HPLC analysis showed that vanillic acid may be the main component of the Catalpa bignonioides extract that enhanced muscle ***:Catalpa bignonioides improves exercise performance through regulation of growth and metabolism in skeletal muscles,suggesting its potential as an effective natural agent for improving muscular strength.

Hydrogen peroxide has attracted increasing interest as an environmentally benign and green oxidant that can also be used as a solar fuel in fuel *** review focuses on recent progress in production of hydrogen peroxide by solar-light-driven oxidation of water by dioxygen and its usage as a green oxidant and *** photocatalytic production of hydrogen peroxide is made possible by combining the e^(-)and 4e-oxidation of water with the e^(-)reduction of dioxygen using solar *** catalytic control of the selectivity of the e^(-)vs.4e-oxidation of water is discussed together with the selectivity of the e^(-)vs.4e-reduction of *** combination of the photocatalytic e^(-)oxidation of water and the e^(-)reduction of dioxygen provides the best efficiency because both processes afford hydrogen *** solar-light-driven hydrogen peroxide production by oxidation of water and by reduction of dioxygen is combined with the catalytic oxidation of substrates with hydrogen peroxides,in which dioxygen is used as the greenest oxidant.

Nonheme Iron-Catalyzed Enantioselective cis-Dihydroxylation of Aliphatic Acrylates as Mimics of Rieske Dioxygenases

Enantioselective cis-dihydroxylation of alkenes represents an ideal route to synthesize enantioenriched syn-2,3-dihydroxy esters that are important structural motifs in numerous biologically and pharmaceutically relevant *** nonheme iron-catalyzed enantioselective cis-dihydroxylation meets the requirement of the modern synthetic chemistry from the atomic economy,green chemistry,and sustainable development ***,nonheme iron-catalyzed enantioselective cis-dihydroxylation is much underdeveloped because of the formidable challenges of controlling chemo-and enantioselectivities and product selectivity caused by the competitive epoxidation,cis-dihydroxylation,and overoxidation ***,we disclose the fabrication of a biologically inspired nonheme iron complex-catalyzed enantioselective cis-dihydroxylation of multisubstituted acrylates using hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))as the terminal oxidant by controlling the non-ligating or weakly ligating counterions of iron(Ⅱ)complexes,demonstrating a dramatic counteranion effect on the enantioselective cisdihydroxylation of olefins by H_(2)O_(2) catalyzed by nonheme iron complexes.A range of structurally disparate alkenes were transformed to the corresponding syn-2,3-dihydroxy esters in practically useful yields with exquisite chemo-and enantioselectivities(up to 99% ee).Given the mild and benign nature of this biologically inspired oxidation system as well as the ubiquity and synthetic utility of enantioenriched syn-2,3-dihydroxy esters as pharmaceuticals candidates and natural products,we expect that this strategy could serve as a promising complement to the well-known Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation,which is the chemical reaction of an alkene with OsO_(4) to produce a vicinal diol.
