Research and Application of a Multi-Field Co-Simulation Data Extraction Method Based on Adaptive Infinitesimal Element

Regarding the spatial profile extraction method of a multi-field co-simulation dataset,different extraction directions,locations,and numbers of profileswill greatly affect the representativeness and integrity of data.In this study,a multi-field co-simulation data extractionmethod based on adaptive infinitesimal elements is proposed.Themultifield co-simulation dataset based on related infinitesimal elements is constructed,and the candidate directions of data profile extraction undergo dimension reduction by principal component analysis to determine the direction of data extraction.Based on the fireworks algorithm,the data profile with optimal representativeness is searched adaptively in different data extraction intervals to realize the adaptive calculation of data extraction micro-step length.The multi-field co-simulation data extraction process based on adaptive microelement is established and applied to the data extraction process of the multi-field co-simulation dataset of the sintering furnace.Compared with traditional data extraction methods for multi-field co-simulation,the approximate model constructed by the data extracted from the proposed method has higher construction efficiency.Meanwhile,the relative maximum absolute error,root mean square error,and coefficient of determination of the approximationmodel are better than those of the approximation model constructed by the data extracted from traditional methods,indicating higher accuracy,it is verified that the proposed method demonstrates sound adaptability and extraction efficiency.

In this study,a Ni-Fe metal-organic framework modified by-NH_(2)and-SH was synthesized using a sim-ple hydrothermal process for enhancing photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction.As expected,the N2S-NiFe(NH_(2)-BDC/H_(4)DSBDC,2:1)displayed excellent photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction activity and high CO selectivity(12,412.23μmol g^(−1)h^(−1))under visible light irradiation(λ≥420 nm),which is 5 times that of NiFe-MOF.Notably,the excellent photocatalytic performance of N2S-NiFe can benefit from the rich defect trap site caused by the introduction of amino and sulfhydryl groups,accelerating charge transfer and promoting space charge separation,as supported by the photo-electrochemical properties.To better understand the CO_(2)adsorption mechanism,density functional theory calculations were performed,which revealed that the Niov site has more negative adsorption energy compared with the Feov site.This study provides a simple strategy to establish efficient photocatalysts for CO_(2)reduction through the modification of organic ligands.

Photon counting technique as a potential tool in micro-defect detection of epoxy insulation pull rod in gas-insulated switchgears

The micro-defects in epoxy-based insulation materials generate a local high electric field which results in continuous degradation,seriously endangering the insulation system of gas-insulated switchgears.A highly sensitive detection technique is reported for micro-defects of insulation pull rods based on the photon counting(PC)technique.The re-sults demonstrated that for an epoxy-based insulation pull rod,the photons released during electroluminescence and ionisation at 2 kV,which is less than the partial discharge inception voltage,can be clearly detected.The findings presented a strong correlation between photon counts and defect severity.Discourse has been conducted to elucidate the mechanism behind defect-induced PC,employing the amplification of ionising luminescence through electric field distortion induced by micro defects and the augmentation of electroluminescence through the aggregation of trap charge.In this regard,the authors verified that PC can serve as a potential tool in the detection of micro-insulation defects,which also has huge potential in online insulation condition monitoring.

Prediction of Wordle Scores Based on ARIMA and LSTM Models

This paper examines the effectiveness of the Differential autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model in comparison to the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) neural network model for predicting Wordle user-reported scores. The ARIMA and LSTM models were trained using Wordle data from Twitter between 7th January 2022 and 31st December 2022. User-reported scores were predicted using evaluation metrics such as MSE, RMSE, R2, and MAE. Various regression models, including XG-Boost and Random Forest, were used to conduct comparison experiments. The MSE, RMSE, R2, and MAE values for the ARIMA(0,1,1) and LSTM models are 0.000, 0.010, 0.998, and 0.006, and 0.000, 0.024, 0.987, and 0.013, respectively. The results indicate that the ARIMA model is more suitable for predicting Wordle user scores than the LSTM model.

Incidence and Mortality of Cancers in Female Genital Organs—China,2022

Introduction:This study presented the incidence and mortality rates of cancers affecting the female genital organs in China,along with their trends spanning from 2010 to 2018.Methods:700 population-based cancer registries provided relevant cancer incidence and mortality data for the year 2018.Among these,106 registries had continuous monitoring data suitable for trend analysis from 2010 to 2018.We focused specifically on cancers affecting female genital organs(ICD10=C51-C54,C56)and projected their incidences and mortalities in China for 2022 based on data from 2018 and the trends observed from 2010 to 2018.Age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)and mortality rate(ASMR)were calculated using Segi’s world standard population.Results:In 2022,there were an estimated 296,300 new cases and 104,900 deaths from female cancers in China.ASIRs for vulva(C51),vagina(C52),cervix uteri(C53),corpus uteri(C54),and ovary(C56)were 0.32,0.23,13.83,6.84,and 5.68 per 100,000 population.ASIRs for corpus uteri and ovary cancers were higher in urban areas.ASMRs for vulva,vagina,cervix,corpus uteri,and ovary cancers were 0.14,0.08,4.54,1.05,and 2.64 per 100,000 population,respectively.ASMR for ovarian cancer was higher in urban areas.ASIRs and ASMRs for most female genital organ cancers increased from 2010 to 2018,although the rate of increase for vulvar and cervical cancers in rural areas has slowed recently.Conclusions:Tailored cancer prevention and control programs specific to each region are necessary to address the growing disease burden.

Plant-based dietary patterns and risk of esophageal cancer:A prospective cohort study spanning 17 years

Objective: Plant-based diets have multiple health benefits for cancers;however, little is known about the association between plant-based dietary patterns and esophageal cancer(EC).This study presents an investigation of the prospective associations among three predefined indices of plant-based dietary patterns and the risk of EC.Methods: We performed endoscopic screening for 15,709 participants aged 40-69 years from two high-risk areas of China from January 2005 to December 2009 and followed the cohort until December 31, 2022. The overall plant-based diet index(PDI), healthful plant-based diet index(h PDI), and unhealthful plant-based diet index(u PDI), were calculated using survey responses to assess dietary patterns. We applied Cox proportional hazard regression to estimate the multivariable hazard ratios(HRs) and 95% confidence intervals(95% CIs) of EC across 3plant-based diet indices and further stratified the analysis by subgroups.Results: The final study sample included 15,184 participants in the cohort. During a follow-up of 219,365person-years, 176 patients with EC were identified. When the highest quartile was compared with the lowest quartile, the pooled multivariable-adjusted HR of EC was 0.50(95% CI, 0.32-0.77) for h PDI. In addition, the HR per 10-point increase in the h PDI score was 0.42(95% CI, 0.27-0.66) for ECs. Conversely, u PDI was positively associated with the risk of EC, and the HR was 1.80(95% CI, 1.16-2.82). The HR per 10-point increase in the u PDI score was 1.90(95% CI, 1.26-2.88) for ECs. The associations between these scores and the risk of EC were consistent in most subgroups. These results remained robust in sensitivity analyses.Conclusions: A healthy plant-based dietary pattern was associated with a reduced risk of EC. Emphasizing the healthiness and quality of plant-based diets may be important for preventing the development of EC.

Global gene expression profiling of perirenal brown adipose tissue whitening in goat kids reveals novel genes linked to adipose remodeling

Background Brown adipose tissue(BAT)is known to be capable of non-shivering thermogenesis under cold stimulation,which is related to the mortality of animals.In the previous study,we observed that goat BAT is mainly located around the kidney at birth,and changes to white adipose tissue(WAT)in the perirenal adipose tissue of goats within one month after birth.However,the regulatory factors underlying this change is remain unclear.In this study,we systematically studied the perirenal adipose tissue of goat kids in histological,cytological,and accompanying molecular level changes from 0 to 28 d after birth.Results Our study found a higher mortality rate in winter-born goat kids,with goat birthing data statistics.Then we used thermal imaging revealing high temperature in goat hips at postnatal 0 d and gradually decrease during 28 d.This is consistent with the region of perirenal BAT deposition and highlights its critical role in energy expenditure and body temperature regulation in goat kids.Additionally,we found a series of changes of BAT during the first 28 d after birth,such as whitening,larger lipid droplets,decreased mitochondrial numbers,and down-regulation of key thermogenesis-related genes(UCP1,DIO2,UCP2,CIDEA,PPARGC1a,C/EBPb,and C/EBPa).Then,we used RNA-seq found specific marker genes for goat adipose tissue and identified 12 new marker genes for BAT and 10 new marker genes for WAT of goats.Furthermore,12 candidate genes were found to potentially regulate goat BAT thermogenesis.The mechanism of the change of this biological phenomenon does not involve a large-scale death of brown adipocytes and subsequent proliferation of white adipocytes.While apoptosis may play a limited role,it is largely not critical in this transition process.Conclusions We concluded that perirenal BAT plays a crucial role in thermoregulation in newborn goat kids,with notable species differences in the expression of adipose tissue marker genes,and we highlighted some potential marker genes for goat BAT and WAT.Additionally,the change fr

Tracking the dynamic surface evolution of metal halide perovskite is crucial for understanding the corresponding fundamental principles of photoelectric properties and intrinsic instability. However, due to the volatility elements and soft lattice nature of perovskites, several important dynamic behaviors remain unclear. Here, an ultra-high vacuum（UHV） interconnection system integrated by surface-sensitive probing techniques has been developed to investigate the freshly cleaved surface of CH3NH3PbBr3in situ under given energy stimulation. On this basis, the detailed three-step chemical decomposition pathway of perovskites has been clarified. Meanwhile, the evolution of crystal structure from cubic phase to tetragonal phase on the perovskite surface has been revealed under energy stimulation. Accompanied by chemical composition and crystal structure evolution, electronic structure changes including energy level position,hole effective mass, and Rashba splitting have also been accurately determined. These findings provide a clear perspective on the physical origin of optoelectronic properties and the decomposition mechanism of perovskites.

A model with multiple intracranial aneurysms: possible hemodynamic mechanisms of aneurysmal initiation, rupture and recurrence

Background Hemodynamic factors play an important role in aneurysm initiation, growth, rupture, and recurrence, while the mechanism of the hemodynamic characteristics is still controversial. A unique model of multiple aneurysms (initiation, growth, rupture, and recurrence) is helpful to avoids the confounders and further explore the possible hemodynamic mechanisms of aneurysm in different states.Methods We present a model with multiple aneurysms, and including the states of initiation, growth, rupture, and recurrence, discuss the proposed mechanisms, and describe computational fluid dynamic model that was used to evaluate the likely hemodynamic effect of different states of the aneurysms.Results The hemodynamic analysis suggests that high flow impingement and high WSS distribution at normal parent artery was found before aneurysmal initiation. The WSS distribution and flow velocity were decreased in the new sac after aneurysmal growth. Low WSS was the risk hemodynamic factor for aneurysmal rupture. High flow concentration region on the neck plane after coil embolization still marked in recanalized aneurysm.Conclusions Associations have been identified between high flow impingement and aneurysm recanalization, while low WSS is linked to the rupture of aneurysms. High flow concentration and high WSS distribution at normal artery associated with aneurysm initiation and growth, while after growth, the high-risk hemodynamics of aneurysm rupture was occurred, which is low WSS at aneurysm dome.

To the Editor:Esophageal cancer,one of the most common cancer types in China,with an estimated 346,633 new cases and 323,600 deaths in 2022,is becoming an increasingly serious clinical and public health problem.^([1])The successful promotion of the self-management strategy has indicated that lifestyle modifications can be valuable in the primary prevention of cancer development.Adopting a healthy lifestyle has become a novel strategy for primary prevention and risk reduction in high-risk areas.Previous epidemiological studies have identified several lifestyle-related risk factors for esophageal cancer,including smoking and diet.^([2])Each factor can typically explain a modest proportion of cancer risk.However,when combined,these known risk factors may substantially affect the risk of esophageal cancer.Nevertheless,some risk factors for esophageal cancer are non-modifiable,including age,low socioeconomic status,and family history.Whether and how these non-modifiable risk factors affect primary cancer prevention by intervening with modifiable risk factors remain unclear.
