Osteoarthritis(OA)treatment commonly depends on nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and opioid ***,the clinical use of opioids is controversial due to their adverse effects and addiction *** study,drawing on 24 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)with a total of 9,586 patients,thoroughly explored the various side effects associated with opioid use in OA *** results provide additional insight into the non-addictive risks of opioids and may assist clinicians in their judicious use,potentially fostering the advancement of safer treatment *** reducing the risks of misuse and addiction,public health and safety can be enhanced.

A new statistical fitting approach, named Statistical Distribution-Based Analytic （SDA） method, is proposed to fit single Gaussian-shaped Ka and KI3 X-ray peaks recorded by Si（PIN） and silicon drift detector （SDD）. In this method, we use the dis- crete distribution theory to calculate standard deviation of energy resolution a. The calibration of cr and energy （E） for two de- tectors between the energy ranges of 4.5-26 keV are also completed by measuring characteristic X-ray spectra of nineteen types of pure elements. With the spectrum fraction （SF） parameter proposed in this paper, the SDA method can be used to re- solve overlapping peaks. In measured spectra, the Gaussian part of X-ray peaks can be fitted by a Gaussian function with two parameters, ~ and SF. This new fitting approach is simpler than traditional methods and it achieves relatively good results when fitting the complex X-ray spectra of national standard alloy samples detected by Si（PIN） and SDD detectors. The 3（2 values are obtained for each spectrum to assess fitting results, and the SDA fitting method gives a preferable fit for the SDD detector.

Herein,the co-pyrolysis reaction characteristics of corn straw(CS)and bituminous coal in the presence of ilmenite oxygen carriers(OCs)are investigated via thermogravimetry coupled with mass *** results reveal that the participation of OCs weakens the devolatilization intensity of *** the CS blending ratio is<50%,the mixed fuel exhibits positive synergistic *** fitting results according to the Coats-Redfern integral method show that the solid-solid interaction between OCs and coke changes the reaction kinetics,enhancing the co-pyrolysis reactivity at the high-temperature zone(750-950C).The synergistic effect is most prominent at a 30%CS blending ratio,with copyrolysis activation energy in the range of 26.35-40.57 kJ·mol^(-1).

In this paper, a novel method of a subwavelength binary simple periodic rectangular structure is presented to realize even beam splitting by combining the rigorous couple-wave analysis with the genetic algorithm. Several even splitters in the terahertz region were designed and one of the silicon-based beam splitters designed to separate one incident beam into four emergent beams has total efficiency up to 92.23 %. Zero-order diffraction efficiency was reduced to less than 0.192 % and the error of uniformity decreased to 6.51 9 10-6. These results break the limitation of even beam splitting based on the traditional scalar theory. In addition, the effects of the incident angle, wavelength, as well as the polarizing angle on the diffraction efficiency and uniformity were also investigated.

This study examined the effects of salinity on embryonic development, survival, and growth of the Hong Kong oyster Crassostrea hongkongensis. The embryos, larvae, and juveniles of C. hongkongensis were held in artificial seawater at three different salinities(low, 15; medium, 23; and high, 30) to determine the optimum hatchery and nursery conditions for mass production of the seeds. Results showed that the percentage production of straight-hinged larvae from fertilized eggs was significantly lower at the high salinity than at the low- and medium-salinities(P < 0.05). The survival rates of larvae and juveniles differed significantly among the three salinity trials, with the highest survival rate observed at the low salinity(P < 0.05). The shell height of larvae was significantly larger at the low salinity than at the high and medium salinities from days 9 to 15(P < 0.05), whereas that of juveniles was significantly larger at the low salinity than at the high and medium salinities on day 70(P < 0.05). These results indicate that the larvae and juveniles of C. hongkongensis are tolerant to a wide range of salinities(15 to 30), but show better growth and survival at relatively low salinities. Thus, it is recommended to use relatively low salinities in hatchery and nursery systems for improved yields of C. hongkongensis.

In this paper, we give some sufficient conditions under which perturbations preserve Hilbert frames and near-Riesz bases. Similar results are also extended to frame sequences, Riesz sequences and Schauder frames. It is worth mentioning that some of our perturbation conditions are quite different from those used in the previous literatures on this topic.

Background Hypertension （HTN） is a very prevalent public health problem and as the population ages,cognitive impairment （CI） is also going to be a public health ***,the relationship between hypertension duration and cognitive function declination worldwide is still *** aim of the study was to investigate the effects of HTN duration on CI in Chinese *** At baseline,1 386 HTN patients and 293 normotensive （NT） people were *** HTN patients were further divided into four subgroups （duration of HTN 〈6 years,6-10 years,11-20 years,and 〉20 years） according to the HTN duration and were screened for cognitive function with neuropsychological tests including mini-mental-state-examination （MMSE） and clock-drawing-test （CDT） in comparison with the NT *** More HTN patients had CI （45.3%） than NT subjects （30.4%）,and increased with HTN duration （P〈0.000 1）.Compared with the scores of MMSE and CDT in the NT group,the declines were higher in the HTN patients （P 〈0.000 1）,and in the four HTN subgroups,both MMSE and CDT scores fall when the HTN duration increased （P 〈0.05）.Furthermore,in the HTN population without CI,the trend in alteration of CI was relatively mild but still existed （P 〈0.05）.Conclusion People with HTN are more likely to have CI and the possibility and aggravation increases the prolongation of HTN duration,both in amnesic and nonamnesic function.
