Background Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is an emerging *** consequences of SARS-CoV-2 exposure in infants remain ***,this study aims to investigate whether neonates born to mothers with COVID-19 have adverse brain *** This multicenter observational study was conducted at two designated maternal and children's hospitals in Hubei Province,China's Mainland from February 1,2020 to May 15,*** born to mothers with COVID-19 were *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)findings,and volumes of grey and white matters,and physical growth parameters were observed at 44 weeks corrected gestational *** Of 72 neonates born to mothers with COVID-19,8(11%)were diagnosed with COVID-19,8(11%)were critically ill,and no deaths were *** the eight neonates that underwent brain MRI at corrected gestational age of 44 weeks,five neonates were diagnosed with *** these five neonates,three presented abnormal MRI findings including abnormal signal in white matter and delayed myelination in newborn 2,delayed myelination and brain dysplasia in newborn 3,and abnormal signal in the bilateral periventricular in newborn *** other three neonates without COVID-19 presented no significantly changes of brain MRI findings and the volumes of grey matter and white matter compared to those of healthy newborns at the equivalent age(P>0.05).Physical growth parameters for weight,length,and head circumference at gestational age of 44 weeks were all above the 3rd percentile for all *** Some of the neonates born to mothers with COVID-19 had abnormal brain MRI findings but these neonates did not appear to have poor physical *** findings may provide the information on the follow-up schedule on the neonates exposed to SARS-CoV-2,but further study is required to evaluate the association between the abnormal MRI findings and the exposure

P-and SV-wave dispersion and attenuation have been extensively investigated in saturated poroelastic media with aligned ***,there are few existing models that incorporate the multiple wave attenuation mechanisms from the microscopic scale to the macroscopic ***,in this work,we developed a unified model to incorporate the wave attenuation mechanisms at different scales,which includes the microscopic squirt flow between the microcracks and pores,the mesoscopic wave-induced fluid flow between fractures and background(FB-WIFF),and the macroscopic Biot's global flow and elastic scattering(ES)from the *** Tang's modified Biot's theory and the mixed-boundary conditions,we derived the exact frequency-dependent solutions of the scattering problem for a single penny-shaped fracture with oblique incident P-and *** then developed theoretical models for a set of aligned fractures and randomly oriented fractures using the Foldy *** results indicated that microcrack squirt flow considerably influences the dispersion and attenuation of P-and SV-wave *** coupling effects of microcrack squirt flow with the FB-WIFF and ES of fractures cause much higher velocity dispersion and attenuation for P waves than for SV *** oriented fractures substantially reduce the attenuation caused by the FB-WIFF and ES,particularly for the ES attenuation of SV *** a comparison with existing models in the limiting cases and previous experimental measurements,we validated our model.

Background We collected neonatal neurological,clinical,and imaging data to study the neurological manifestations and imaging characteristics of neonates with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Methods This case-control study included newborns diagnosed with COVID-19 in Wuhan,China from January 2020 to July *** included newborns had complete neurological evaluations and head magnetic resonance *** normalized the extracted T2-weighted imaging data to a standard neonate template space,and segmented them into gray matter,white matter,and cerebrospinal *** comparison of gray matter volume was conducted between the two *** A total of five neonates with COVID-19 were included in this *** median reflex scores were 2 points lower in the infected group than in the control group(P=0.0094),and the median orientation and behavior scores were 2.5 points lower in the infected group than in the control group(P=0.0008).There were also significant differences between the two groups in the total scale score(P=0.0426).The caudate nucleus,parahippocampal gyrus,and thalamus had the strongest correlations with the Hammersmith neonatal neurologic examination(HNNE)score,and the absolute correlation coefficients between the gray matter volumes and each part of the HNNE score were all almost greater than *** We first compared the neurological performance of neonates with and without COVID-19 by quantitative neuroimaging and neurological examination *** the limited numbers of patients,more studies focusing on the structural or functional aspects of the virus in the central nervous system in different age groups will be carried out in the future.

The dynamics of hydrological processes and the storage mechanisms of karst water resources are the most important issues in karst *** impact of environmental changes on water quantity,and the evaluation and quantification of eco-hydrological processes remain poorly *** this study,high-frequency continuous monitoring in multi-scale karst watersheds in Southwest China combined the approaches of water isotopes and the hybrid single-particle lagrangian integrated trajectory(HYSPLIT)model to identify the recharge mechanisms between atmospheric vapor,rainfall,surface water,and groundwater,and to reveal the interaction of eco-hydrological *** dominant moisture sources in Puding(PD)County were the Indian Ocean(43-69%)and local moisture(24-33%).Theδ^(18)O and deuterium excess(d-excess)values showed a positive correlation indicating that secondary or sub-cloud evaporation was prominent in the wet *** water line-conditioned excess(lc-excess)indicated that karst water interacted with recent precipitation,groundwater,and evaporation across *** to its specific hydrogeological structure,surface water and rainwater have a higher contribution rate to groundwater *** Chenqi stream replenished the Houzhai River mainly in the form of groundwater,with percentages ranging from 38.1 to 93.5%in the wet season,and 47.8-80.1%in the dry *** the Houzhai outlet,surface water and groundwater interconverted frequently with a percentage of 45.6-49.1%.We believe this is the first systematic study to quantify the supply relationship between water vapor transport,rainfall,surface water and groundwater in the Chinese karst zone,making a significant move forward in the field of karst hydrological processes and improving the efficiency of water resource evaluation and management.

Federated learning ensures data privacy and security by sharing models among multiple computing nodes instead of plaintext ***,there is still a potential risk of privacy leakage,for example,attackers can obtain the original data through model inference ***,safeguarding the privacy of model parameters becomes *** proposed solution involves incorporating homomorphic encryption algorithms into the federated learning ***,the existing federated learning privacy protection scheme based on homomorphic encryption will greatly reduce the efficiency and robustness when there are performance differences between parties or abnormal *** solve the above problems,this paper proposes a privacy protection scheme named Federated Learning-Elastic Averaging Stochastic Gradient Descent(FL-EASGD)based on a fully homomorphic encryption ***,this paper introduces the homomorphic encryption algorithm into the FL-EASGD scheme to preventmodel plaintext leakage and realize privacy security in the process ofmodel ***,this paper designs a robust model aggregation algorithm by adding time variables and constraint coefficients,which ensures the accuracy of model prediction while solving performance differences such as computation speed and node anomalies such as downtime of each *** addition,the scheme in this paper preserves the independent exploration of the local model by the nodes of each party,making the model more applicable to the local data ***,experimental analysis shows that when there are abnormalities in the participants,the efficiency and accuracy of the whole protocol are not significantly affected.
