为了研究硅粉与纳米硅粉作为添加剂对水泥砂浆耐酸性的影响,本文将标准养护后的样品浸泡于pH=2的硫酸溶液中,并分析了样品在浸泡实验前后的性能变化。实验结果表明,添加硅粉及纳米硅粉能有效提高浸泡前水泥砂浆的单轴抗压强度,降低可渗透孔隙的体积率。相较于纳米硅粉,硅粉对水泥砂浆的性能影响更为显著。在硫酸溶液中浸泡75 d后,样品出现了不同程度的腐蚀。其中,掺5%硅粉及1%纳米硅粉的样品展现了最低的质量损失及长度损失。

Background： Serum soluble ST2 （sST2） levels are elevated early after acute myocardial infarction and are related to adverse left ventricular （LV） remodeling and cardiovascular outcomes in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI）. Beta-blockers （BB） have been shown to improve LV remodeling and survival. However, the relationship between sST2, final therapeutic BB dose, and cardiovascular outcomes in STEMI patients remains unknown. Methods： A total of 186 STEMI patients were enrolled at the Wuhan Asia Heart Hospital between January 2015 and June 2015. All patients received standard treatment and were followed up for 1 year. Serum sST2 was measured at baseline. Patients were divided into four groups according to their baseline sST2 values （high 〉56 ng/ml vs. low ≤56 ng/ml） and final therapeutic BB dose （high ≥47.5 mg/d vs. low 〈47.5 mg/d）. Cox regression analyses were performed to determine whether sST2 and BB were independent risk factors for cardiovascular events in STEMI. Results： Baseline sST2 levels were positively correlated with heart rate （r = 0.327, P = 0.002）, Killip class （r = 0.408, P = 0.000）, lg N-terminal prohormone B-type natriuretic peptide （r = 0.467, P = 0.000）, lg troponin I （r = 0.331, P = 0.000）, and lg C-reactive protein （r = 0.307, P = 0.000） and negatively correlated to systolic blood pressure （r = ？0.243, P = 0.009） and LV ejection fraction （r = ？0.402, P = 0.000）. Patients with higher baseline sST2 concentrations who were not titrated to high-dose BB therapy （P 〈 0.0001） had worse outcomes. Baseline high sST2 （hazard ratio [HR]： 2.653; 95% confidence interval [CI]： 1.201–8.929; P = 0.041） and final low BB dosage （HR： 1.904; 95% CI, 1.084–3.053; P = 0.035） were independent predictors of cardiovascular events in STEMI. Conclusions： High baseline sST2 levels and final low BB dosage predicted cardiovascular events in STEMI. Hence, sST2 may be a useful biomarker in cardiac pathophysiology.

This study investigated whether free prostate-specific antigen(fPSA)performs better than total PSA(tPSA)in predicting prostate volume(PV)in Chinese men with different PSA levels.A total of 5463 men with PSA levels of<10 ng ml^(−1) and without prostate cancer diagnosis were included in this study.Patients were classified into four groups:PSA<2.5 ng ml^(−1),2.5–3.9 ng ml^(−1),4.0–9.9 ng ml^(−1),and 2.5–9.9 ng ml^(−1).Pearson/Spearman's correlation coefficient(r)and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to evaluate the ability of tPSA and fPSA to predict PV.The correlation coefficient between tPSA and PV in the PSA<2.5 ng ml^(−1) cohort(r=0.422;P<0.001)was markedly higher than those of the cohorts with PSA levels of 2.5–3.9 ng ml^(−1),4.0–9.9 ng ml^(−1),and 2.5–9.9 ng ml^(−1)(r=0.114,0.167,and 0.264,respectively;all P≤0.001),while fPSA levels did not differ significantly among different PSA groups.Area under ROC curve(AUC)analyses revealed that the performance of fPSA in predicting PV≥40 ml(AUC:0.694,0.714,and 0.727)was better than that of tPSA(AUC=0.545,0.561,and 0.611)in men with PSA levels of 2.5–3.9 ng ml^(−1),4.0–9.9 ng ml^(−1),and 2.5–9.9 ng ml^(−1),respectively,but not at PSA levels of<2.5 ng ml^(−1)(AUC:0.713 vs 0.720).These findings suggest that the relationship between tPSA and PV may vary with PSA level and that fPSA is more powerful at predicting PV only in the"gray zone"(PSA levels of 2.5–9.9 ng ml^(−1)),but its performance was similar to that of tPSA at PSA levels of<2.5 ng ml^(−1).

Background:No convenient,inexpensive,and non-invasive screening tools exist to identify pulmonary hypertension(PH)-left heart disease(LHD)patients during the early stages of the disease course.This study investigated whether different methods of lung ultrasound(LUS)could be used for the initial investigation of PH-LHD.Methods:This was a single-center prospective observational study which was performed in the Zigong Fourth People’s Hospital.We consecutively enrolled patients with heart failure(HF)admitted to the emergency intensive care unit from January 2018 to May 2020.Transthoracic echocardiography and LUS were performed within 24 h before discharge.We used the Spearman coefficient for correlation analysis between ultrasound scores and pulmonary arterial systolic pressure(PASP).Bland-Altman plots were generated to inspect possible bias,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were calculated to assess the relationship between ultrasound scores and an intermediate and high echocardiographic probability of PH-LHD.Results:Seventy-one patients were enrolled in this study,with an overall median age of 79(interquartile range:71.5–84.0)years.Among the 71 patients,36(50.7%)cases were male,and 26(36.6%)had an intermediate and high echocardiographic probability of PH.All four LUS scores in patients with an intermediate and high probability of PH were significantly higher than in patients with a low probability of PH(P<0.05).The correlation coefficient(r)between different LUS scoring methods and PASP was moderate for the 6-zone(r=0.455,P<0.001),8-zone(r=0.385,P=0.001),12-zone(r=0.587,P<0.001),and 28-zone(r=0.535,P<0.001)methods.In Bland-Altman plots,each of the four LUS scoring methods had a good agreement with PASP(P<0.001).The 8-zone and 12-zone methods showed moderately accurate discriminative values in differentiating patients with an intermediate and high echocardiographic probability of PH(P<0.05).

H_(2)O_(2)-responsive polymer prodrug nanoparticles with glutathione scavenger for enhanced chemo-photodynamic synergistic cancer therapy

The combination of chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy(PDT)based on nanoparticles(NPs)has been extensively developed to improve the therapeutic effect and decrease the systemic toxicity of current treatments.However,overexpressed glutathione(GSH)in tumor cells efficiently scavenges singlet oxygens(^(1)O_(2))generated from photosensitizers and results in the unsatisfactory efficacy of PDT.To address this obstacle,here we design H_(2)O_(2)-responsive polymer prodrug NPs with GSH-scavenger(Ce6@P(EG-a-CPBE)NPs)for chemo-photodynamic synergistic cancer therapy.They are constructed by the co-self-assembly of photosensitizer chlorin e6(Ce6)and amphiphilic polymer prodrug P(EG-a-CPBE),which is synthesized from a hydrophilic alternating copolymer P(EG-a-PD)by conjugating hydrophobic anticancer drug chlorambucil(CB)via an H_(2)O_(2)-cleavable linker 4-(hydroxymethyl)phenylboronic acid(PBA).Ce6@P(EG-a-CPBE)NPs can efficiently prevent premature drug leakage in blood circulation because of the high stability of the PBA linker under the physiological environment and facilitate the delivery of Ce6 and CB to the tumor site after intravenous injection.Upon internalization of Ce6@P(EG-a-CPBE)NPs by tumor cells,PBA is cleaved rapidly triggered by endogenous H_(2)O_(2)to release CB and Ce6.Ce6 can effectively generate abundant^(1)O_(2)under 660 nm light irradiation to synergistically kill cancer cells with CB.Concurrently,PBA can be transformed into a GSH-scavenger(quinine methide,QM)under intracellular H_(2)O_(2)and prevent the depletion of^(1)O_(2),which induces the cooperatively strong oxidative stress and enhanced cancer cell apoptosis.Collectively,such H_(2)O_(2)-responsive polymer prodrug NPs loaded with photosensitizer provide a feasible approach to enhance chemo-photodynamic synergistic cancer treatment.

Efficacy and Safety of the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage System for Stroke Prevention in Chinese Patients with Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation： A Single-center, Prospective, Observational Study

Background： In patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation （NVAF）, embolic stroke is thought to be associated with left atrial appendage （LAA） thrombi. The WATCHMAN LAA Occlusion Device has been shown to be noninferior to conventional oral anticoagulation with warfarin for stroke prevention in patients with NVAF. This study aimed to evaluate the procedural feasibility, safety and 12-month outcomes of the WATCHMAN LAA Occlusion Device in NVAF patients with high risk for stroke in China. Methods： The clinical data of 106 NVAF patients, who were consecutively underwent LAA closure with the WATCHMAN Device between April 2014 and May 2015, were collected. Patients were followed up at 1,3, 6, and 12 months after discharge. A transesophageal echocardiograph was performed at 45 days after implantation and repeated in case of an unexpected event during the follow-up period. Results： This study included 106 NVAF patients with a mean age of 64.2 ± 8.6 years （ranging from 50 to 88 years）, and the mean CHA,DS,-VASc score of all patients was 3.6 ± 1.6 （ranging from 2 to 9）. Among those 106 NVAF patients, 100 （94.3%） patients were implanted with the device successfully. The procedural success rate was 94.3% （100/106）, and the occlusion rate was 100.0% （100/100）. There were one tamponade, one ischemic stroke, and eight minor pericardial effusions during hospitalization. During 12-month follow-up period, two patients developed a tbrombus layer on the device that resolved with additional anticoagulation： one with visible device-thrombus experienced transient ischemic stroke, and one had a hemorrhagic stroke. There were no deaths in this study. The overall survival rate was 100.0%, and nonmajor adverse event rate was 95.0% （95/100）. In this study, the expected annual rate ofischemic stroke risk in these patients according to the CHA2DS2-VASc score was 4.0%, while the observed ischemic stroke rate was 2.0% per year. Intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)is widely recognized as a promising technique to enhance the system perfor-mance,and thus is a hot research topic in future wireless communications.In this context,this paper proposes a robust BF scheme to improve the spectrum and energy harvesting efficiencies for the IRS-aided simultaneous wireless information and power transfer(SWIPT)in a cognitive radio network(CRN).Here,the base station(BS)utilizes spectrum assigned to the primary users(PUs)to simultaneously serve multiple energy receivers(ERs)and information receivers(IRs)through IRS-aided multicast technology.In particular,by assuming that only the imperfect channel state information(CSI)is available,we first formulate a constrained problem to maximize the minimal achievable rate of IRs,while satisfying the harvesting energy threshold of ERs,the quality-of-service requirement of IRs,the interference threshold of PUs and transmit power budget of BS.To address the non-convex problem,we then adopt triangle inequality to deal with the channel uncertainty,and propose a low-complexity algorithm combining alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)with alternating optimi-zation(AO)to jointly optimize the active and passive beamformers for the BS and IRS,respectively.Finally,our simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed BF scheme and also provide useful insights into the importance of introducing IRS into the CRN with SWIPT.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a highly aggressive primary liver malignancy and the third most common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Although early HCC can be treated through surgical resection, liver transplantation, and radical ablation, the early recurrence rate after treatment is > 70%[1]. Systemic therapy, such as molecular-targeted agents, has made great advances in HCC treatment, but the optimal therapeutic approaches are still limited due to insidious onset and late diagnosis[2]. Therefore, efficient HCC treatment strategies should be developed urgently.

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the association between occupational radiation exposure and changes in thyroid hormone levels among medical radiation workers.Methods This retrospective cohort study included 2,946 radiation workers from 20 Guangzhou hospitals.Data on general characteristics,participant radiation dosimetry,and thyroid function test results[thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH),triiodothyronine(T3),and thyroid hormone(T4)]were extracted from dosimetry and medical records.The generalized estimating equation was used to evaluate the trend of changes in thyroid hormone levels over time and was adjusted for age,gender,and occupation.Results The average annual effective dose was very low and showed a general downward trend.During the follow-up period,changes in T3 and T4 levels among radiation workers were-0.015[95% confidence interval(CI)-0.018 to-0.012]nmol/L per year and-2.294(95%CI-2.426 to-2.162)nmol/L per year,respectively.Thyroid hormone levels were significantly different between males and females.T3 levels in the group of upper quartile of dose were significantly higher than in the lower quartile group(P=0.006).No significant decreased trend in thyroid hormone levels was observed with increasing average effective doses.Conclusion Thyroid hormone secretion might be affected even in low-dose radiation exposure environments.
