Etoposide is widely used for cancer chemotherapy in the ***,long-term etoposide treatment can lead to adverse effects or drug *** improve the situation,we evaluated the therapeutic efficiency of etoposide combined with inhibitors of bromodomain and extraterminal(BET)family proteins,which have recently emerged as novel anti-cancer targets due to their critical roles in cancer ***,we showed BRD4,one of the main targets of BET inhibitors,was involved in DNA damage response(DDR)via the homologous recombination(HR)repair pathway.

We studied the problem of bifurcation and chaos in a 4-side fixed rectangular thin plate in electromagnetic and me-chanical *** on the basic nonlinear electro-magneto-elastic motion equations for a rectangular thin plate and the ex-pressions of electromagnetic forces,the vibration equations are derived for the mechanical loading in a steady transverse magnetic *** the Melnikov function method,the criteria are obtained for chaos motion to exist as demonstrated by the Smale horseshoe *** vibration equations are solved numerically by a fourth-order Runge-Kutta *** bifurcation dia-gram,Lyapunov exponent diagram,displacement wave diagram,phase diagram and Poincare section diagram are obtained.

The operating conditions during the continuous casting process have a great effect on the microstructure of slab solidification, including primary and secondary dendritic arm spacing. On the basis of the analysis of available work, a revised expression for describing secondary dendritic arm spacing during solidification of slab continuous casting was presented, and the relation between the ratio of primary dendritic arm spacing to secondary dendritic arm spacing and the cooling rate was obtained.

Electron transport properties of a triple-terminal Aharonov-Bohm interferometer are theoretically *** applying a Rashba spin-orbit coupling to a quantum dot locally, we find that remarkable spin polarization comesabout in the electron transport process with tuning the structure parameters, i.e., the magnetic flux or quantum dotlevels. When the quantum dot levels are aligned with the Fermi level, there only appear spin polarization in thisstructure by the presence of an appropriate magnetic flux. However, in absence of magnetic flux spin polarization andspin separation can be simultaneously realized with the adjustment of quantum dot levels, namely, an incident electronfrom one terminal can select a specific terminal to depart from the quantum dots according to its spin state.

The magnetic properties of a mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 and a mixed spin-3/2 and spin-5/2 Ising ferromag- netic system with different anisotropies are studied by means of mean-field theory （MFT）. The dependence of the phase diagram on single-ion anisotropy strengths is studied too. In the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising model, besides the second-order phase transition, the first order-disorder phase transition and the tricritical line are found. In the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-5/2 Ising model, there is no first-order transition and trieritical line.

As an analytical method, the effective-field theory （EFT） is used to study the dynamical response of the kinetic Ising model in the presence of a sinusoidal oscillating field. The effective-field equations of motion of the average magnetization are given for the honeycomb lattice （Z = 3）. The Liapunov exponent A is calculated for discussing the stability of the magnetization and it is used to determine the phase boundary. In the field amplitude ho / ZJ-temperature T/ZJ plane, the phase boundary separating the dynamic ordered and the disordered phase has been drawn. In contrast to previous analytical results that predicted a tricritical point separating a dynamic phase boundary line of continuous and discontinuous transitions, we find that the transition is always continuous. There is inconsistency between our results and previous analytical results, because they do not introduce sufficiently strong fluctuations.

The ground-state and lowest excited-state binding energies of a hydrogenic impurity in GaAs parabolic quantum-well wires （Q WWs） subjected to external electric and magnetic fields are investigated using the finite-difference method within the quasi-one-dimensional effective potential model. We define an effective radius Pen of a cylindrical QWW, which can describe the strength of the lateral confinement. For the ground state, the position of the largest probability density of electron in x-y plane is located at a point, while for the lowest excited state, is located on a circularity whose radius is Pen. The point and circularity are pushed along the left haft of the center axis of the quantum-well wire by the electric field dire ted along the right half. When an impurity is located at the point or within the circularity, the ground-state or lowest excited-state binding energies are the largest; when the impurity is apart from the point or circularity, the ground-state or lowest excited-state binding energies start to decrease.

DNA damage is a relatively common event in eukaryotic cell and may lead to genetic mutation and even cancer. DNA damage induces cellular responses that enable the cell either to repair the damaged DNA or cope with the damage in an appropriate way. Histone proteins are also the fundamental building blocks of eukaryotic chromatin besides DNA, and many types of post-translational modifications often occur on tails of histones. Although the function of these modifications has remained elusive, there is ever-growing studies suggest that histone modifications play vital roles in several chromatin-based processes, such as DNA damage response. In this review, we will discuss the main histone modifications, and their functions in DNA damage response.
