Social determinants of health(SDOH)affect quality of *** investigated SDOH impacts on self-perceived resilience among people with adult congenital heart disease(ACHD).Secondary analysis of data from two com-plementary studies:a survey study conducted may 2021–June 2022 and a qualitative study conducted June 2020–August *** was assessed through CD-RISC10 score(range 0–40,higher scores reﬂect greater self-perceived resilience)and interview *** and SDOH(education,employment,living situa-tion,monetary stability,ﬁnancial dependency,area deprivation index)data were collected by healthcare record review and *** used linear regression with robust standard errors to analyze survey data and performed a thematic analysis of interview *** participants(N=127)mean age was 42±14 years;51%were female,87%*** was moderate(75%)or complex(25%);41%functional class C or ***(mean 30±7)varied by monetary stability:compared to people with difﬁculty paying bills,resilience was 15.0 points higher(95%CI:6.9–23.1,pmoney and 14.2 points higher(95%CI:5.9–22.4,p=0.001)for those reporting just enough *** participants’(N=25)mean age was 32 years(range 22–44);52%were female,72%*** was moderate(56%)or complex(44%);76%functional class C or *** discussed factors affecting resilience aligned with each of the major SDOH,prominently,economic stability and healthcare access and *** stability may be important for supporting self-perceived resi-lience in *** knowledge can inform the development of resilience interventions for this population.

Historic maps showing the temporal distribution of rice fields are important for precision agriculture,irrigation optimisation,forecasting crop yields,land use management and formulating ***,mapping rice felds using traditional ground surveys is impractical when high cost,time and labour requirements are considered,and the availability of such detailed records is *** satellite remote sensing appears to be a viable solution,conventional segmentation and classification methods with spectral bands are often unable to contrast the distinct characteristics between rice fields and other vegetation *** this end,we explored a novel,Google Earth Engine(GEE)based multiindex random forest(RF)classification approach to map rice fields over two *** images from 2000 to 2020 of two Sri Lankan rice cultivation districts were extracted from GEE and a multi-index RF classification algorithm was applied to distinguish the rice *** results showed above 80%accuracy for both training and validation,when compared against high spatial resolution Google Earth *** essence,multi-index sampling and RF together synergised the compelling classifcation accuracy by effectively capturing vegetation,water(ponding)and soil characteristics unique to the rice felds using a single-click *** maps developed in this study were further compared against the mODIS land cover type product(mCD12Q1)and the corresponding superior statistics on rice fields demonstrated the robustness of the proposed *** work seeking effective index combinations is recommended,and this approach can potentially be extended to other crop analyses elsewhere.

Objective:To assess the epidemiology of urinary schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiasis among women of reproductive age in mwaluphamba,Kwale County,***:A community-based cross-sectional study design was employed to randomly sample 422 women of reproductive age(15-m four villages in mwaluphamba *** specimens were collected and examined using the Kato-Katz method,while filtration technique was used to analyze urine ***’sociodemographic details were obtained using a standardized ***:Urinary schistosomiasis prevalence was at 4.7%(20/422,95%CI 2.8%-6.9%)while the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminthiasis infection was 4.5%(19/422,95%CI 2.6%-6.7%).The infection intensities of urinary schistosomiasis among the study participants ranged from 1 to 120 eggs/10 mL of urine with median egg count of 18.45 eggs/10 *** patients were diagnosed with light infection,of 56.16 egg/gram and 48.48 egg/gram for Trichuris trichiura and hookworms,*** without latrines had 15.7 times higher risk of having urinary schistosomiasis compared to those with a ***,use of surface water(aOR=1.0,95%CI 0.2-1.4,P=0.010)and crossing the river to go to a place(aOR=1.1,95%CI 0.3-1.6,P=0.009)were statistically significant risk factors for getting urinary *** bivariable regression analysis,defecating around the water source(OR=4.3,95%CI 1.5-12.9)had a statistically significant association with the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminthiasis(P=0.008).Conclusions:This study has given an insight on the prevalence and intensity of urinary schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiasis in mwaluphamba location that form a basis for strengthening the control and elimination programmes for these neglected tropical diseases.

Recently, a bulk nickelate superconductor La3Ni2O7is discovered at pressures with a remarkable high transition temperature Tc～ 80 K. Here, we study a Hubbard model with tight-binding parameters derived from ab initio calculations of La3Ni2O7,by employing large scale determinant quantum monte Carlo and cellular dynamical mean-field theory. Our result suggests that the superexchange couplings in this system are comparable to that of cuprates. The system is a charge transfer insulator as the hole concentration becomes four per site at large Hubbard U. Upon hole doping, two low-energy spin-singlet bands emerge in the system exhibiting distinct correlation properties: while the one composed of the out-of-plane Ni-d3z2-r2and O-pzorbitals demonstrates strong antiferromagnetic correlations and narrow effective bandwidth, the in-plane singlet band consisting of the Ni-dx2-y2and O-px/pyorbitals is in general more itinerant. Over a broad range of hole doping, the doped holes occupy primarily the dx2-y2and px/pyorbitals, whereas the d3z2-r2and pzorbitals retain underdoped. we propose an effective t-J model to capture the relevant physics and discuss the implications of our result for comprehending the La3Ni2O7superconductivity.

This study explored the thermo-chemical properties of industrial hemp hurd with different provenances, maturity stages, and retting protocols. The findings were then compared to hemp hurd used in the fabrication of citric acid-bonded ultra-low-density hemp hurd particleboard. Pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (Py-GC/mS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were employed to document the variability of the hurd and comprehend the potential impact on biobased composite applications. The choice of cultivar, maturity stage, and processing modality significantly influenced the chemical composition, presence of functional groups, and thermal stability of the hurd. Py-GC/mS revealed substantial variations in the lignin-to-carbohydrate (L/C) ratio, along with the absence of fatty acids in certain cultivars. while FTIR signals confirmed consistent functional groups, differences in peak intensities were indicative of carbohydrate variations associated with maturity and retting duration, impacting the availability of hydroxyl groups for, i.e., interparticle bonding in citric acid-based bio-composites. Furthermore, it was observed that shorter retting durations initially enhanced the thermal resistance, but prolonged retting led to accelerated degradation, significantly reducing the hurd’s residual mass. The findings indicated notable differences among the samples, emphasizing the importance of investigating variables such as provenance/cultivar, maturity,andprocessing modality. This assessment is essential to ensure effective agronomic practices that align the raw material characteristics with the specific requirements of intended applications, such as the fabrication of biobased hemp hurd composites. © 2024 The Authors.
