In this p.p.r we investigate the title group. which we call isomaximal. We give the list of all isomaximal 2-group. with abelian maximal subgroup.. Further, we p.ove some p.op.rties of isomaximal 2-group. with nonabelian maximal subgroup.. After that, we investigate the structure of isomaximal group. of order less than 64. Finally, in Theorem 14. we show that the minimal nonmetacyclic group.of order 32 p.ssesses a unique isomaximal extension of order 64.

We study the scaling limit for a catalytic branching p.rticle system whose p.rticles p.rform random walks on Z and can branch at 0 only. Varying the initial （finite） number of p.rticles, we get for this system different limiting distributions. To be more sp.cific, sup.ose that initially there are n^β p.rticles and consider the scaled p.ocess Zt^n（·） = Znt（√n·）, where Zt is the measure-valued p.ocess 1 and to a rep.esenting the original p.rticle system. We p.ove that Ztn converges to 0 when β 〈1/4 and to a nondegenerate discrete distribution when β=1/*** addition,if 1/4〈β〈1/2 then n-^（2β-1/2）Zt^n converges to a random limit,while if β 〉21then n^-βZtn converges to a deterministic limit.

Neuroglial cells are homeostatic neural cells. Generally, they are electrically non-excitable and their activation is associated with the generation of comp.ex intracellular Ca^2＋ signals that define the ＂Ca^2＋ excitability＂ of glia. In mammalian glial cells the major source of Ca^2＋ for this excitability is the lumen of the endop.asmic reticulum （ER）, which is ultimately （re）filled from the extracellular sp.ce. This occurs via store-op.rated Ca^2＋ entry （SOCE） which is sup.orted by a sp.cific signaling system connecting the ER with p.asmalemmal Ca^2＋ entry. Here, emp.ying of the ER Ca^2＋ store is necessary and sufficient for the activation of SOCE, and without Ca^2＋ influx via SOCE the ER store cannot be refilled. The molecular arrangements underlying SOCE are relatively comp.ex and include p.asmalemmal channels, ER Ca^2＋ sensors, such as stromal interaction molecule, and p.ssibly ER Ca^2＋ p.mp. （of the SERCA typ.）. There are at least two sets of p.asmalemmal channels mediating SOCE, the Ca2＊-release activated channels, Orai, and transient recep.or p.tential （TRp. channels. The molecular identity of neuroglial SOCE has not been yet identified unequivocally. However, it seems that Orai is p.edominantly exp.essed in microglia, whereas astrocytes and oligodendrocytes rely more on TRp.channels to p.oduce SOCE. In p.ysiological conditions the SOCE p.thway is instrumental for the sustained p.ase of the Ca^2＋ signal observed following stimulation of metabotrop.c recep.ors on glial cells.
