驾驶辅助系统不仅是为了辅助驾驶员进行一般的驾驶活动,而且要能在关键情况下接管驾驶。使用原型车进行试驾是测试该系统最现实的方式,试驾可使驾驶辅助系统暴露在各种实际环境下,从而检查其可靠性。由于带有原型的测试驱动器成本很高,而且难以完全相同方式复制驾驶活动,因此在系统开发和测试过程中经常使用硬件在环(HiL)测试台。HiL测试台不仅提供相关硬件,还可以为这些被测系统(SUT)提供模拟环境。在实际车辆的试驾过程中,由于不同的环境影响,电气系统的电压会发生变化,这些变化是基于不断变化的电气负载影响。目前,车辆电气系统的电压变化无法在硬件在环测试台上模拟。为了确定电压变化的原因和潜在现象,需要对实际试驾记录数据进行检查,以了解潜在现象。然后将这些结果用于推导唯象激励,该唯象激励可用于模拟测试台上的真实电压曲线。本文分析了车辆测量结果,目的是找出车载电压长期和短期热变化的可能原因,提出一种在HiL测试台上进行虚拟测试驱动的情况下真实模拟电压变化的方法。

Nonpoint source(NPS)pollutants resulting from land degradation(LD)have been a key influential factor on the deterioration of water quality.Consequently,sustainable land use management(SLM)practices have been employed to reduce the impacts of LD globally.However,the adoption of SLM practices is often not effective to protect water resources despite its capability of improving water quality.Empirically,evidence shows that activities of land users directly influence SLM practices and NPS pollution of water resources in watersheds,but invariably this has not been clearly understood.Understanding how SLM practices adoption could prevent NPS pollution of water resources in watershed is a necessity.Therefore,the primary aim of the investigation is to comprehend the status of SLM practices with the legal framework supporting the adoption of such practices in the Ashi River watershed.A survey instrument involving structured questionnaire was implemented to collect data.A randomly based lottery method was applied to sample information from 150 land users in two control units’communities.Descriptive and inferential statistics was used to analyze the data.This research revealed that there is low adoption of SLM practices of the study site.The low adoption is due to weak capacity building and enforcement of regulations in the watershed.Occupation and age of the residents are the strongest predictors of SLM adoption rate.Residents connected with farming are more sensitive to the adoption status of SLM.It is our recommendation that policy makers should ensure capacity building,and enforcement of regulations can specifically compel farmers to adopt SLM technologies.This approach would complement other strategies to solve the NPS pollution issue of Ashi River.

Plant extracts have long been used in commercial agriculture as anti-microbial tools in food safety applications. These offer growers and agrobiologists many unique benefits which include their eco-friendliness. This work reviews the situation of Biofungicides reconnaissance in reference to fungal disease of cowpea. Twenty different pathogens were associated with various fungal diseases of cowpea and, only the species of Colletotrichum was found to have the virulence and propensity of afflicting a 100% infection on a single susceptible cowpea crop. Plant families under the affliction of Colletotrichum were analyzed. The different forms of botanicals so far availed for use as potential biofungicidal were identified. Eighteen plant families were found to represent the entire plants and plant materials agrobiologically screened within a range of thirteen years and found to habour large spectra of species containing substances of biofungicidal potentials. Current position in the use of Botanicals to combat agricultural pests and disease is 7% of the total cowpea disease management options.

Metallic elements have various origins: natural and anthropogenic sources as geochemical, marine and atmospheric sources resulting from the fallout of pollutants emitted or dust raised and which are transported by water and air currents. Thus marine, brackish and fresh continental waters may have high metal concentrations. In addition, some essential metals can become toxic above certain concentration values in aquatic environments. The aquatic ecosystems of Cotonou channel and lake Nokoué receive the pollutants charges from the town cities of Cotonou, Abomey-Calavi and town hall of So Ava. The aim of this study is to analyze waters from Eighteen (18) stations identified in the two ecosystems (nine by ecosystem). The concentrations of magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), arsenic (As), selenium (Se), cadmium (Cd), beryllium (Be), aluminum (Al), strontium (Sr), molybdenum (Mo), silver (Ag), tin (Sn), barium (Ba), platinum (Pt), mercury (Hg), thallium (Tl), lead (Pb), thorium (Th) and uranium (U) were measured after acid digestion of the water samples using the inductively coupled plasma source mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). The results of the analyses indicate an unequal distribution of metals in the different ecosystems. However, atypical concentrations were observed at some stations of the lake and the channel. Magnesium, calcium and manganese have very high values in Lake Nokoué respectively at Ganvié market station GAN_M (2990 ± 105 mg/L), Ganvié center, station GAN_C (4991 ± 177 mg/L) and Lake middle station MLak4 (10662 ± 17.03 μg/L). On the other hand, iron, aluminum and strontium have very high concentrations in the Cotonou Channel respectively at Agbato station AGB (5236 ± 103 and 8289 ± 519 μg/L) and at the estuary station EST (6118 ± 68 μg/L). In this paper,we prove that a discrete-time switched linear system is exponentially stabilizable if and only if there exists a stationary hybrid-control law that consists of a homogeneous switching-control law and a piecewiselinear continuous-control law under which the closed-loop system has a piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function.Such a converse control-Lyapunov function theorem justifies many of the earlier controller-synthesis methods that have adopted piecewise-quadratic Lyapunov functions and piecewise-linear continuous-control laws for convenience or heuristic reasons.Furthermore,several important properties of the proposed stabilizing control law are derived and their connections to other existing controllers studied in the literature are discussed.

Background: Cervical ripening is prerequisite of successful induction of labor. Vaginal misoprostol and Foley’s catheter placement have been widely used for this purpose but the data are not always sufficient. We attempted to determine which (misoprostol versus Foley’s catheter) is more effective/safer in Nigerian setting. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was performed at Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Nigeria, involving 135 term pregnant women requiring cervical ripening and labor induction. Participants were randomly allocated to misoprostol versus catheter group. The following were recorded/measured/analyzed: Bishop’s score, age, parity, body mass index, gestational age, labor duration, indication, oxytocin use, mode of delivery, and Apgar score. Chi square test and t test were used where appropriate. Results: At 24 hours, all of misoprostol group were either in labor, had ripe cervix, or had delivered, whereas 35.4% of catheter group had still unripe cervix (x2 = 29.856, P = 0.0001). Background and Objectives: Candida colonization in neonates with low birth weight is reported to be the first step for invasive candidiasis. This study was designed to describe the patterns of Candida spp. colonizing neonates with low birth weight in Mwanza, Tanzania to provide baseline information for future studies in this field. Methodology: The hospital based cross sectional study was conducted between January 2019 and April 2019 among neonates with low birth weight. Clinical and social demographic data were collected using interview guide questionnaire. Oral and umbilical rectal swabs were collected on the first and seventh day of life to assess Candida spp. colonization status. Data were analyzed using STATA version 13 following the study objectives. Results: A total of 320 neonates with median body weight of 1600 [IQR 1000 - 2000] grams were enrolled. Background: Postpartum haemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal deaths worldwide, the majority of which occur in low resource settings. Uterine atony is the commonest cause of postpartum haemorrhage. Uterine balloon tamponade (UBT) is an effective method of treating refractory postpartum haemorrhage. Aim: Commercial UBT devices are often not affordable and not readily available in rural settings. The aim of this paper is to report on three cases of postpartum haemorrhage successfully managed with uterine balloon tamponade using Foley catheters. Case Reports: We report on three patients with major obstetric haemorrhage from uterine atony who were successfully managed with uterine balloon tamponade using Foley’s urethral catheter. The first two patients had primary postpartum haemorrhage while the third patient had significant bleeding during the surgical evacuation of the uterus for a molar pregnancy. In each case, uterine bleeding was refractory to pharmacologic uterotonics. They all had uterine tamponade with a Foley catheter with the dramatic resolution of their bleeding. Conclusion: In well-selected patients, uterine balloon tamponade with Foley catheter is cheap, arrests bleeding and prevents clinical deterioration among women with refractory postpartum haemorrhage, especially in low resource settings where commercial balloon tamponade may not be available or affordable.
