Effective and Efficient Video Compression by the Deep Learning Techniques

Deep learning has reached many successes in Video *** has become a growing important part of our daily digital *** advancement of better resolution content and the large volume offers serious challenges to the goal of receiving,distributing,compressing and revealing highquality video *** this paper we propose a novel Effective and Efficient video compression by the Deep Learning framework based on the flask,which creatively combines the Deep Learning Techniques on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)and Generative Adversarial Networks(GAN).The video compression method involves the layers are divided into different groups for data processing,using CNN to remove the duplicate frames,repeating the single image instead of the duplicate images by recognizing and detecting minute changes using GAN and recorded with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM).Instead of the complete image,the small changes generated using GAN are substituted,which helps with frame-level *** wise comparison is performed using K-nearest Neighbours(KNN)over the frame,clustered with K-means and Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)is applied for every frame in the video for all three colour channels[Red,Green,Blue]to decrease the dimension of the utility matrix[R,G,B]by extracting its latent *** frames are packed with parameters with the aid of a codec and converted to video format and the results are compared with the original *** experiments on several videos with different sizes,duration,Frames per second(FPS),and quality results demonstrated a significant resampling *** normal,the outcome delivered had around a 10%deviation in quality and over half in size when contrasted,and the original video.

Evaluating factors associated with the risk of hydrothorax following standard supracostal percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Objective:To report our experience with supracostal percutaneous nephrolithotomy(SC-PNL)and evaluate factors which could predict the risk of hydrothorax following ***:We reviewed 347 patients who underwent SC-PNL from January 2011 to December *** were assessed for demographic characteristics,indication for the supracostal access,level of supracostal access,anatomy of the kidney(normal or malrotated),site of the puncture in relation to the mid-scapular line(medial or lateral),and whether another subcostal tract for stone clearance was required or *** were assessed for the incidence of hydrothorax and requirement of intercostal drain depending on the level of percutaneous *** addition,a multivariable logistic regression analysis model was developed to identify factors which could predict the occurrence of hydrothorax following ***:Of the 347 patients with SC-PNL,248(71.5%)underwent a supra-12th rib approach,while the rest needed a supra-11th(n=85;24.5%)or a supra-10th(n=14;4.0%)rib ***,17(4.9%)patients developed a hydrothorax,while an intercostal-drain was required in seven of these 17 patients for 48 *** of the patients with a supra-12th rib puncture required an *** than a third of the patients with a supra-10th puncture developed a hydrothorax(35.7%)and all of them required an intercostal *** such as anteriorly malrotated kidney(odds ratio[OR]=2.722;95%confidence interval[CI]=1.042-5.617,p=0.03),puncture medial to the mid-scapular line(OR=1.669;CI=0.542-1.578,p=0.03),and an access higher than the supra-12th level(OR=5.265;CI=1.292-9.342,p<0.001)proved to be independent predictors of hydrothorax following a SC-PCNL on multivariable ***:Incidence of clinically significant hydrothorax requiring an intercostal-drain after SC-PNL is very *** of the predicting factors will help to anticipate the risk of hydrothorax in a particular patient and take necessary p

Grading of fruits based on their ripeness has been a topic of research for the last two *** the ripened mangoes has become more of an art than science and is a challenging *** study aims at introducing a system to grademangoes with four classes based on their *** study was demonstrated through an extensive experimentation on a newly created dataset consisting of 981 images of Alphonsomango variety belonging to four classes viz.,under-ripen,perfectly ripen,over-ripen with internal defects and over-ripen without internal *** this study,a hierarchical approach was adopted to classify the mangoes into the four *** each stage of classification,L*a*b color space features were *** the purpose of classification at each stage,a number of classifiers and their possible combinationswere tried *** study revealed that,the Support VectorMachine(SVM)classifier works better for classifyingmangoes into under-ripen,perfectly ripen and overripen while the thresholding classifier has a superior classification performance on over-ripen with internal defects and over-ripen without internal ***,to bring out the superiority of the hierarchical approach,a conventional single shot multi-class classification approach with SVMwas also *** results of the experimentation demonstrated that the hierarchical method with an accuracy of 88%outperforms the counterpart conventional single shot multi-class classification approach in addition to several existing contemporary models.

Comparison of lipid profile in different grades of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease diagnosed on ultrasound

Objective:To detect and compare serum lipid abnormalities in patients diagnosed with different grades of non-alcoholic fatly liver on ***:A total of 70 cases which included 30 males and 40 females,diagnosed as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)on ultrasound were investigated with serum lipid *** a comparison of lipid abnormalities between different grades of fatty liver diagnosed on ultrasound was done.P value was calculated by using analysis of variance lest(ANOVA)and P value<0.05 was considered as statistically ***:Out of 70 cases which were diagnosed as NAFLD on ultrasonography,gradeⅠNAFLD cases were 47.15%,gradeⅡwere 42.85%and gradeⅢwere 10%.The mean age of the patients was49.14 *** to female ratio was 3:*** triglycerides,total cholesterol,LDL and VLDL levels were raised in 67.14%,45.71%34.28%,25.71%of cases *** serum HDL levels were seen in 62.85%of *** statistical analysis we found increasing grades of NAFLD were significantly associated with increasing values of total cholesterol(P value-0.001),LDL(P value-0.000)and VLDL(P value-0.003)and decreasing HDL(P value-0.000).Conclusion:Most of the patients of NAFLD in India is asymptomatic,non-diabetic and *** liver biopsy is the gold standard melhod for diagnosis of NAFLD,Ultrasonography which is non-invasive,simple tool,can be used for the early detection of NAFLD in asymptomatic patients.

Role of over the scope clips in the management of iatrogenic gastrointestinal perforations

Advances in endoscopic and surgical techniques have increased the frequency and complexity of these procedures and associated complications such as gastrointestinal perforation. With the advancements in the field of gastroenterology, the promising use of an over the scope clips(OTSC) has fulfilled the unmet need for a reliable endoscopic devise in approximation of gastrointestinal perforation. This novel approach has raised the level of confidence in endoscopist in dealing with this serious complication during endoscopy. Here we have shared our experience with OTSC to evaluate its efficacy and safety in managing iatrogenic gastrointestinal perforations during endoscopy.

Background:Diurnal changes can be defined as the time of the day over an individual's performance level for different activities that involve physical and mental ***:The current study aimed to evaluate the effect of diurnal changes in scores obtained for the Dichotic Consonant-Vowel paradigm by young adults with normal hearing ***:Based on the‘Morningness-Eveningness questionnaire’given by Horne&Ostberg,the subjects were divided into moderately-morning,intermediate and moderately-evening *** Dichotic Consonant-Vowel tests were performed during morning and evening,and the right ear,left ear and double correct scores were compared between morning and evening for each ***:There was significant diurnal changes noted for moderately morning and evening categories,where morning-type individuals performed better during morning and evening-type individuals performed better during the *** scores of intermediate individuals remained unchanged between morning and evening test ***:Diurnal change is a phenomenon associated with an individual's biological clock ***,attention and inhibitory controls aid them in carrying out tasks that require sufficient physical and mental *** current study suggests that clinicians and researchers consider diurnal changes as an extraneous variable that could affect the reliability of the Dichotic Consonant-Vowel test results.

High-Pressure Nitrides and Microdiamonds from Tibetan Ophiolite

The samples of microdiamond as an inclusion of Os Ir alloy, coesite, stishovite, high pressure form of Tio2, high pressure nitrides associated with SiC along with boron carbide, have been reported in the past from the placer deposits of Luobasa ophiolite of Yarlung Zangbo region of Tibet. For the formation of these ultra high findings, pressure in the range of 4 to 9 Gpa and temperature in the range of 700° C - 1300° C is required. Thus these minerals can either be incorporated into the chromitite in the deep upper mantle or they have an impact origin. In absence of impact crater, Prof. Fang and others have favored the mantle origin but for the formation of nitrides in the deep mantle, the source of N is not clear. However, the event of comet impact provides better explanation for the formation process. It also simplifies the explanation of coexistence of most of these minerals in a single crystal with the shallow origin and the perfect preservation of the coesite as consequence of rapid cooling after the shock metamorphism.

Effect of low versus high frequency stimulation on freezing of gait and other axial symptoms in Parkinson patients with bilateral STN DBS:a mini-review

Some studies have shown that low frequency stimulation(LFS,most commonly 60 Hz),compared to high frequency stimulation(HFS,most commonly 130 Hz),has beneficial effects,short-term or even long-term,on improving freezing of gait(FOG)and other axial symptoms,including speech and swallowing function,in Parkinson disease(PD)patients with bilateral subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation(STN DBS).However,other studies failed to confirm *** seems not clear what determines the difference in response to *** in study design,such as presence or absence of FOG,exact LFS used(60 Hz versus 80 Hz),study size,open label versus randomized double blind assessment,retrospective versus prospective evaluation,medication On or Off state,total electric energy delivered maintained or not with the change in frequency,and the location of active contacts could all potentially affect the *** mini-review goes over the literature with the aforementioned factors in mind,focusing on the effect of LFS versus HFS on FOG and other axial symptoms in PD with bilateral STN DBS,in an effort to extract the essential data to guide our clinical management of axial symptoms and explore the potential underlying mechanisms as ***,LFS of 60 Hz seems to be consistently effective in patients with FOG at the usual HFS in regards to improving FOG,speech,swallowing function and other axial symptoms,though LFS could reduce tremor control in some *** LFS simply addresses the axial symptoms in the context of HFS or has other beneficial effects requires further studies,along with the mechanism.
