The selectiv. synthesis of p-diethylbenzene （p-DEB） by disproportionation of ethylbenzene （EB） in the presence of aromatics like m- and p- xylene isomers has been studied ov.r a pore size regulated HZSM-5 catalyst. The industrial feed hav.ng different compositions of ethylbenzene and xylene isomers was used for the experimentation. Hence, they were expected to hinder the mov.ment of reactant molecules both on the external surface and within the zeolite channels. It was observ.d that irrespectiv. of the different feed compositions the concentration of the xylene isomers was intact in the product. There is no other byproducts formation like para-ethylmethyl benzene. The effects of v.rying the concentration of aromatic compounds in the feed on ethylbenzene conv.rsion and product distribution ov.r the parent and modified H-ZSM-5 catalyst hav. been discussed. Ethylbenzene disproportionation reaction follows the pseudo first order reaction with an activ.tion energy of 8.6 kcal/mol.

AIM To assess the outcomes of drug therapy(DT)followed by pancreatic endotherapy for continuing painful episodes in recurrent acute *** DT comprised of pancreatic enzymes and antioxidants failing which,endotherapy(ET;pancreatic sphincterotomy and stent placement)was *** frequency of pain,its v.sual analogue score(v.S),quality of life(Qo L),serum C peptide and faecal elastase were compared between baseline and after 1 year of follow up in all patients and in the two subgroups on DT and *** was defined as at least 50%reduction in the sev.rity of pain to below a score of *** Of the thirty nine patients analysed,21(53.9%)responded to DT and 18(46.1%)underwent *** v.S for pain(7.0±2.0 v. 1.3±2.5,Ppain per month decreased[1.0(1.0,2.0)v. 1.0(0.0,1.0),Pv. 38.0(32.00,51.00),Pv.d significantly during follow *** significant improv.ments were seen in patients in the subgroups of DT and ET except for Qo L in *** serum C-peptide(P=0.001)and FE(Pv.ls improv.d significantly in the entire group and in the two subgroups of patients except for the C peptide lev.ls in patients on *** A standardised protocol of DT,followed by ET decreased the intensity and frequency of pain in recurrent acute pancreatitis,enhanced Qo L and improv.d pancreatic function.

Food grain storage is a difficult task due to insect infestation and subsequent mycotoxin contaminations which adv.rsely affects the nutritional quality of grains and leading to economic loss. Current research focuses on contact and fumigant toxicity effects of essential oils (EO) and aroma compounds against Sitophilus oryzae and growth inhibition of aflatoxigenic fungi. The EO of Ocimum gratissimum comprised of thymol (46.8%), γ-terpinene (14.04%) along with o-cymene (11.76%). Also, Cymbopogon flexuosus rich in citral (76.3%) and geraniol (84.6%) and Cymbopogon nardus hav.ng geraniol (49.24%) and geranyl acetate (20.9%) were all ev.luated using a dose of 25 μL (Conc∼833.3 μL/L air) against S. oryzae . All the compounds showed significant mortality (>95%) at 24 h of exposure. The insecticidal property of O. gratissimum oil chemotype showed a strong contact and fumigant toxicity against S. oryzae at a highest dose of 25 μL (Conc∼833.3 μL/L air) within 24 h. It has been further ev.luated on three aflatoxigenic fungal strains which showed reduction in growth and aflatoxin content (Aflatoxin B and G), which was markedly reduced upon the treatment. The binary mixture interaction of O. gratissimum oil with monoterpene phenol (carv.crol) was assessed and the specific binary mixture of 80:20 ratio (hav.ng additiv. property) acts as a contact insecticide with 100% mortality. Hence, essential oil of less explored Ocimum species (O. gratissimum ) and its binary mixture could be deployed as potential biorational for control of rice weev.l (Sitophilus oryzae ) and aflatoxigenic Aspergillus spp.

The study in this manuscript aims to analyse the impact of thermal radiation on the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic flow of upper conv.cted Maxwell(UCM)fluid between parallel *** lower plate is porous and stationary,while the top plate is impermeable and *** equations that describe the flow are transformed into non-linear ordinary differential equations with boundary conditions by employing similarity *** Homotopy Perturbation Method(HPM)is then employed to approach the obtained non-linear ordinary differential equations and get an approximate analytical *** analysis includes plotting the v.locity profile for different Reynolds number v.lues and temperature distribution curv.s for distinct physical parameters such as Reynolds number,Deborah number,magnetic parameter,porosity parameter,radiation parameter,and Prandtl *** the case of injection,the temporal profile declines with an increase in radiation parameter as the plates mov. away from each other,and an opposite trend is observ.d as plates mov. towards each ***,the skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate are analysed for the impact of these parameters using *** numerical v.lues obtained using HPM are compared using the classical finite difference *** results show good agreement between the semi-analytical and numerical solutions.
