Objective:To investigate the phytochemical screening and the effects of the aqueous extracts of the seeds of Irvingia gabonensis on the biochemical parameters of male guinea ***: The biochemical parameters were assayed using Randox Diagnostic kits,Phenolphthalein method and colorimetric *** phytochemical screening was carried out using standard ***:Phytochemical investigations revealed the presence of flavonoids,tannins, carbohydrate,alkaloids,terpenoids,steroids,volatile oils,saponins and cardiac *** aqueous extract of Irvingia gabonensis seeds(SO - 400 mg/kg) caused a statistically significant(P< 0.05 ANOVA) decrease in the levels of total cholesterol,urea,uric acid,total protein,prostatic, alkaline,and acid *** highest reduction effect was obtained with uric acid at 400 mg/kg of Irvingia gabonensis extract while the least effect was observed in total cholesterol. These effects were dose- and time- ***:This shows that the seeds of Irvingia gabonensis have hepatoprotective,nephroprotective and cardio protective *** study therefore,supports the claims on the use of the seeds of this plant by traditional medicine practitioners as a hepatoprotective and nephroprotective agent Although further studies need to be done to isolate,identify and characterize the active principles in the seeds of this plant.

In this work, we are concerned with the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for singular boundary value problems on the half-line. Two problems from epi- demiology and combustion theory set on the positive half-line are investigated upper and lower solution techniques combined with fixed point index on cones in priate Banach spaces. The results complement recent ones in the literature. We use appropriate Banach spaces. The results complement recent ones in the literature.

Objective:To investigate the effects of the aqueous extracts of the seeds of Tetracarpidium conophorum and the effect of Proviron(12.5 mg/kg)(as standard) on the hormonal parameters of male guinea pigs,compare the effects of the seeds of Tetracarpidium conophorum and Proviron,and screen the phytochemical constituents of the seeds of Tetracarpidium ***:The hormonal effects of the Tetracarpidium conophorum and Proviron were tested by hormonal assay,using enzyme immuno assay *** was done by reaction of antibody with serum testosterone and testosterone label,magnetic solid phase separation and colour development *** screening was done using standard procedures. Results:The aqueous extract of the Tetracarpidium conophorum seeds(100-400 mg/kg) caused a statistically significant increase(P<0.05,ANOVA) in the level of testosterone of male guinea pigs,from(2.60±0.06) ng/mL to(3.40±0.05) ng/mL,(3.00±0.60) ng/mL and(3.30±0.45) ng/mL on the 7th,14th and 21st day of the administration of the extracts,*** highest increase was obtained after the 7th day of treatment[(3.40±0.05) ng/mL].These effects were very comparable to the effects of Proviron on the testosterone of male guinea pigs,which were obtained to be(2.80±0.01) ng/mL,(2.90±0.16) ng/mL and(3.10±0.30) ng/mL on the 7th, 14th and 21st day,*** effects were dose-and *** optimum effect on testosterone level under dose-dependent study f(4.70±0.45) ng/mL]was obtained at 300 mg/kg of Tetracarpidium conophorum after 7 days ***,the phytochemical screening of the seeds of Tetracarpidium conophorum revealed the presence of flavonoids, tannin,alkaloids,carbohydrate,volatile oils,terpenoids,saponins and cardiac glycosides. It is known that patients infected with H pylori can spontaneously become free from infection, and that the reverse change can occur. The time-scale of these conversions is expressed as percentages per year. Since they have been investigated in terms of serology, the changes are called sero-reversion and sero-conversion respectively. Using serological evidence to investigate these phenomena is open to the criticisms that positive serology can be present in the absence of all other evidence of infection, and that a time-lag of 6-12 mo or longer can occur between eradication of the infection and sero-reversion. Investigations using direct evidence of current infection are sparse. The few that exist suggest that some individuals can seroconvert or sero- revert within six to twelve weeks. If these findings are confirmed, it means that some patients have an ability that is variable in time to resist, or spontaneously recover from, H pylori infection. Evidence suggests that the deciding factor of susceptibility is the level of gastric secretion of acid.

BACKGROUND Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2DS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.
