Background:To assess the clinical outcomes of the visian Implantable Collamer Lens(ICL)with a central port throughout 7 years of ***:Eighty-four eyes of 52 patients were evaluated over a follow-up period of 7 years after v4c ICL ***(UDvA)and corrected(CDvA)distance visual acuities,refraction,intraocular pressure(IOP),endothelial cell density(ECD)and vault were ***:The mean postoperative UDvA(logMAR)was 0.04±0.11,0.13±0.19 and 0.17±0.23 at 1-,5-and 7-years,respectively(PvA(logMAR)remains unchanged throughout a 7-year follow-up period(0.02±0.08 and 0.02±0.08,at 5-and 7-years,respectively,P=0.2).At all follow-up visits,more than 95%of the eyes achieved a CDvA of 20/25 or better and more than 85%a CDvA of 20/*** the end of the follow-up(7 years),no eye lost more lines of CDvA,56 eyes(66.7%)and 28 eyes(33.3%)gained lines of *** 7-years,the spherical equivalent was−0.62±0.62 *** significant increase in IOP(>20 mmHg or an increase higher than 5 mmHg)occurred in any case throughout the 7-year of *** loss in ECD from the preoperative baseline at the last follow-up visit was 2.6%.No intraoperative or postoperative complications or adverse events occurred during the follow-up ***:The outcomes of this study show the long-term viability of the v4c ICL implantation as a surgical option for the correction of myopia.

The elastic constants,ideal tensile strength(ITS),stacking fault energy(SfE),lattice constant and magnetic moment of feMnCoCrNi high entropy alloys with varying Co and Cr contents at 0 and 300 K were systematically investigated by first-principle *** the alloys with Co substitution for Ni,at both temperatures the elastic stability of the face-centered cubic(fcc)phase,bulk elastic modulus(B),Young’s modulus(E),shear modulus(G)and ITS increase monotonically with increasing Co ***,the Cauchy pressure(Cp),Pugh ratio(B/G),Poisson ratio(v),Zener anisotropy ratio(AZ)and elastic anisotropy ratio(AvR)decrease *** SfE also decreases with the increase of Co,resulting in the change of plastic deformation mechanism from dislocation slip to mechanical twinning,and then to hcp-martensitic *** elucidates the underlying mechanism of the effect of Co addition on the strength and micromechanical behavior of feMnCoCrNi *** with Co,the Cr substitution for Ni leads to the more complex change of elastic constants and *** increase of Cr shows the similar effect on SfE and deformation mechanism as that of *** variation of valence electron concentration and magnetism affect the *** increase of either Co or Cr leads to the reduced magnetic moments of fe and *** could be responsible for the monotonic decrease of both lattice constant and SfE as the Co content ***,for the Cr addition case,multiple factors may affect the evolution of lattice constant and *** findings shed light on the deformation mechanism of the alloys with different compositions.

An in vivo model of glutamate excitotoxicity in which glutamate is applied to the cortex of rats through a microdialysis probe has been used to investigate the neuroprotective processes initiated by 17β estradiol. Rats were pre treated with 17β estradiol i.v. before local application of glutamate. The experimental results showed that pre treatment with 17β estradiol significantly reduced the size of the glutamate induced lesion. In the microdialysates, the peak of lactate observed immediately after glutamate application was significantly higher and longer lasting after 17β estradiol pre treatment. The level of extracellular glucose was markedly decreased concomitantly to the increase in lactate, but no difference could be observed with and without 17β estradiol pre treatment. These suggest a new neuroprotective mechanism of 17β estradiol by activating glutamate induced lactate production. This effect on lactate production and lesion reduction is estrogen receptor dependent and is abolished totally by estrogen antagonist tamoxifen. It was also demonstrated here that high lactate subserves estrogen neuroprotection during glutamate toxicity.

In this paper, we review historical Maxwell's equation for gravity and recent studies on the lack of curvature of linear dipole gravitational waves. The extended Newton's gravity necessarily has the continuity equation for the conservation of mass, and with the Gauss' equation associated to gravitational time depending field R, bring about a new field W which resembles the magnetic field in Electrodynamics. Although this field has not been found yet, its existence comes from a strong mathematical statement, and it is shown that linear dipole gravitational waves have their origin in extended Newton theory of gravity. This is a direct mathematical consequence of Gauss' law and the continuity equation for the density of mass and current, and as a direct result of this, any accelerated mass will emit mainly dipole gravitational radiation. Then, one concludes that dipole gravitational waves can have its origin on the extended Newton's gravity equations.

An experimental unit was built which was located in the vicinity of the domestic wastewater treatment plant of the Municipality of San Marcos in the Department of Carazo. Said unit consisted of two welded metal barrels with a total height of 1.8 m and a diameter of 0.90 m, likewise, this unit comprised three functional zones;the first or input area composed of a collection unit, a driving unit, a flow control unit, and two distribution units;the second or packed zone, which is the axis of the system because it is there where bacterial growth takes place and where the removal of organic matter takes place;and an outlet composed of PvC pipe [1]. The main objective of this work was to determine how efficient a rocky filter turns out to be, using stabilization pond effluent as a post-treatment unit using red concrete as a filter medium. The study consisted in carrying out laboratory tests on water samples taken from the influent and effluent of a filter made up of red rock, as a filter medium, in order to determine the percentage of organic matter removal efficiency that it has used a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours, 15 hours, and 12 hours [2]. Among the aspects to be considered in the experimental study was the characterization of the effluent from the treatment system of San Marco, Carazo, to determine the quality of water that will be of interest to the study [3]. In this stage, four composite samplings were carried out, two of 12 hours and two of 24 hours, in which physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters were analyzed. Likewise, to determine the efficiency of the filter, the same parameters considered in the characterization of the lagoon effluent were analyzed, obtaining removal efficiencies of up to 55.53% in organic matter, and 64.60% in suspended solids for a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours;In the same way, the efficiency of the filter was carried out for retention times of 15 hours and 12 hours, in which organic matter removals of 67.84% an

Within the framework of a discrete model of the nuclei of linear and planar defects, the variational principles of sliding in translational and rotational plasticity, fracture by separation (cleavage) and shear (shearing) in crystalline materials are considered. The analysis of mass transfer fluxes near structural kinetic transitions of slip bands into cells, cells into fragments of deformation origin, destruction by separation and shear for fractal spaces using fractional Riemann-Liouville derivatives, local and global criteria of destruction is carried out. One of the possible schemes of the crack initiation and growth mechanism in metals is disclosed. It is shown that the discrete model of plasticity and fracture does not contradict the known dislocation models of fracture and makes it possible to abandon the kinetic concept of thermofluctuation rupture of interatomic bonds at low temperatures.

Objective: To assess the Lv mass, geometry and systolic function in hypertensive patients with reduced kidney function. Methods: According to ASE guidelines, we estimated Lv ventricular mass, geometry and systolic function in 155 consecutive hypertensive patients [51% women, mean age 51 ± 12 years, median duration of hypertension 7 years] with reduced kidney function (eGfR 2 or dipstick proteinuria ≥ 1+). LvH was defined as LvMI >125 g/m2 in men, >110 g/m2 in non obese women or >51 g/m2.7 for obese men or women. Where appropriate, we used Student t, Mann Whitney, one way ANOvA or Chi square tests. A P value of 0.05 or less was considered significant. Results: Seventy four patients in the series (48%) had reduced kidney function (eGfR 30 ± 15 ml/min/1.73 m2). Compared to patients with relatively normal kidney function, non obese and obese patients with reduced kidney function had significantly greater LvM [271 (198 - 348) vs 276 (175 - 284) g/m2, p = 0.008] for non obese;LvM 72 (47 - 88) vs 54 (44 - 73) g/m2.7, p = 0.007 for obese] and lower Ef (60 ± 14 vs 68 ± 13%, p ficantly lower. LvH of mainly concentric geometric pattern was present in 68 patients with reduced kidney function (92%). Conclusion: In the present case series, reduced kidney function was associated with increased LvM, concentric geometric pattern and impaired systolic function.

Statistical analysis of product yield for biodiesel preparation by transesterification process was performed using the Minitab software. A standard RSM Design tool known as CCD was applied to study the transesterification reaction variables. The obtained parameters were verified experimentally for the transesterification reaction of rubber seed oil using solid metal oxide catalyst. The factors affecting the methyl ester yield during transesterification reaction were identified as the catalyst content, molar ratio of oil to alcohol and reaction time. High methyl ester yield and fast reaction rate could be obtained even if reaction temperature was relatively low, which is quite favorable to the industrial production of biodiesel from the rubber seed oil. 98.54% of methyl ester was formed from the transesterification of RSO with methanol. R-squared is a statistical measure of how close the data are to the fitted regression line. It is also known as the coefficient of determination, or the coefficient of multiple determination for multiple regression. In this study, an R2 value of 0.98 is obtained.

利用热泵干燥机，分别在-2～O℃和20℃两种温度下对北极虾整虾、去头北极虾、去壳北极虾和尺寸分别为50mm（直径）×（7～9）mm（厚度）和50mm×（14～18）mm的鱼块进行了干燥研究。结果显示，虾的状态（有壳或无壳、有头或无头）和鱼块的厚度对其干燥特性有着显著影响。无论干燥温度为-2～0℃还是20℃，去壳虾所需干燥时间均最少，去头虾的干燥速度均大于整虾；薄鱼块的干燥速度在20℃显著大于厚鱼块的干燥速度。扩散模型MR-Aexp（-kt）可以很好地描述热泵干燥北极虾和鱼块的干燥特性，根据试验结果建立的一系列统计回归模型显示，当热泵干燥温度由-2～0℃C增加到20℃时，干燥速度和K值显著增加，干燥时间明显减小。
