m.dels on clim.te change have predicted an increase of tem.erature over the earth’s surface with potential drastic effects on living organism..We analyzed the relationships between clim.tic conditions(tem.erature,rainfall,and wind speed)and the abundance of blood-sucking flying insects(biting m.dges and blackflies)and nest-dwelling ectoparasites(m.tes,fleas,and blowflies)collected from.blue tit nests during bird breeding seasons for a period of 10 years.Average tem.erature,rainfall,and wind speed showed significant differences am.ng years.Tem.erature and wind speed increased during the period of study while rainfall decreased.Biting m.dge,blackfly,and blowfly abundances increased across years but not flea and m.te abundances.Hatching date decreased and brood size increased across years.Independently of year variation,parasites were related to clim.tic variables.For exam.le,biting m.dge,blowfly,m.te,and flea abundances were positive and significantly related to average tem.erature.We also found a positive and significant relationship between abundances of Haem.proteus infections and biting m.dge abundances during the first year of life of birds out of nests.However,abundance and prevalence of Lankesterella infections in yearlings were positive and significantly related to m.te abundances during the year of birth of birds.Leucocytozoon and Lankesterella infections were also significantly related to clim.tic variables and Haem.proteus and Lankesterella infections increased across years.In addition,body condition of adult fem.les and m.les were negatively related to flea larvae and blowfly abundance respectively.Nestling body condition was also negatively related to biting m.dge abundance.Changes in clim.tic conditions across years could therefore affect several parasites of birds but also to birds them.elves.

鉴于析氢反应(HER)与制氢技术直接相关,而氢气是氢经济中的能量载体,因此,深入理解析氢反应(HER)速率的控制参数非常重要.前期关于碱性介质中Ni(OH)_(2)修饰的Pt(111)上激光诱导温度跃迁(LITJ)实验结果已经揭示了界面电场对HER速率有较大影响.推测认为,少量的Ni(OH)_(2)会使电极的零自由电荷电势向析氢开始的方向负移,从而导致电场减弱.为进一步验证这一推测,本文将研究对象扩展到Fe(OH)_(2)修饰的Pt(111)表面,对其伏安特性进行分析.伏安图在析氢区域显示出一个峰,表明修饰层发生Fe(Ⅱ)到Fe(0)的转变.与库仑分析结果一致,OH吸附区的伏安特征与Fe物种被氧化至+3价有关.LITJ结果显示,亲氧的Fe物质与水分子之间存在强烈的相互作用,其使熵最大处的电势远离HER的开始电势.因此,最具催化性的表面应该是Fe覆盖度最低的表面.

Adenom.tous polyposis(AP)is classified according to cum.lative adenom. num.er in classical AP(CAP)and attenuated AP(AAP).Genetic susceptibility is the m.jor risk factor in CAP due to m.tations in the known high predisposition genes APC and m.TYH.However,the contribution of genetic susceptibility to AAP is lower and less understood.New predisposition genes have been recently proposed,and som. of them.have been validated,but their scarcity hinders accurate risk estim.tions and prevalence calculations.AAP is a heterogeneous condition in term. of severity,clinical features and heritability.Therefore,clinicians do not have strong discrim.nating criteria for the recom.endation of the genetic study of known predisposition genes,and the detection rate is low.Elucidation and knowledge of new AAP high predisposition genes are of great im.ortance to offer accurate genetic counseling to the patient and fam.ly m.m.ers.This review aim. to update the genetic knowledge of AAP,and to expound the difficulties involved in the genetic analysis of a highly heterogeneous condition such as AAP.

The highest volcano in m.xico,at the sam. tim. the third largest m.untain in North Am.rica(Citlaltépetl,5610 m.a.s.l.),is hom. to the largest glacier in the country.Because of the extinction of the Popocatépetl glacier(5500 m.a.s.l.)caused by eruptive activity,and the alm.st disappearance of the Iztaccíhuatl glaciers(5220 m.a.s.l.)due to the lower elevation of the m.untain,the Glaciar Norte of Citlatépetl has been the only glacier that has shown a certain degree of stability as a response to the altitude in which it is located.However,as occurs in alm.st all glaciers on the planet,the retreat of its glacier term.nus has been continuous.Furtherm.re,during the last years the thickness of its upper part began to decrease rapidly until its bedrock was exposed for the first tim. in 2019.Due to its ecosystem.im.ortance and because it is the m.in glacier in m.xico,as well as the only one in the world located at latitude 19°N,in this work its current dim.nsions are updated,as well as the local clim.tology that governs the current state of the glacier is pointed out.The study was based on the analysis of high-resolution Sentinel-2 optical im.ges,as well as through Sentinel-1 SAR im.ges,with the support of clim.tological inform.tion from.the study area.Therefore,the outcropping of the bedrock in the accum.lation zone and the consequent horizontal retreat of the upper part of the glacier are docum.nted;at the sam. tim.,the decrease in the thickness of the ice along it is noted.The rocky outcrop in the accum.lation zone suggests that the flow dynam.cs of the ice towards the ablation zone will be considerably less,accelerating the retreat of the glacier term.nus.Finally,the ascent of the glacial front to 5102 m.a.***.l.and the m.delled altitude of the equilibrium.line to 5276 m.a.***.l.are reported as a warning signal in term. of snow catchm.nt and m.ss balance;likewise,the decrease of 23%of its surface is also indicated regarding the surface reduction m.nitoring that has been done until 2017.These findings m.y indicate that the

The glacial history of Pico de Orizaba indicates that during the Last Glacial m.xim.m.its icecap covered up to~3000 m.asl;due to the air tem.erature increasing,its m.in glacier has retreated to 5050 m.asl.The retraction of the glacier has left behind an intense clim.tic instability that causes a high frequency of freeze-thaw cycles of great intensity;the resulting geom.rphological processes are represented by the fragm.ntation of the bedrock that occupies the upper parts of the m.untain.There is a notable lack of studies regarding the fragm.ntation and erosion occurring in tropical high m.untains,and the associated geom.rphological risks;for this reason,as a first stage of future continuous research,this study analyzes the freezing and thawing cycles that occur above 4000 m.asl,through continuous m.nitoring of surface ground tem.erature.The results allow us to identify and characterize four zones:glacial,paraglacial,periglacial and proglacial.It was found that the paraglacial zone presents an intense drop of tem.erature,of up to~9℃ in only sixty m.nutes.The rock fatigue and intense freeze-thaw cycles that occur in this area are responsible for the high rate of rock disintegration and represent the m.in factor of the constant slope dynam.cs that occur at the site.This activity decreases,both in frequency and intensity,according to the distance to the glacier,which is where the tem.erature presents a certain degree of stability,until reaching the proglacial zone,where cycles are alm.st non-existent,and therefore there is no gelifraction activity.The geom.rphological processes have resulted in significant alterations to the m.untain slopes,which can have severe consequences in term. of risk and water.

The E2F/DP pathway is a widely conserved regulatory m.chanism.in pluricellular organism..The fam.ly of E2F and DP transcription factors was originally described having a role in the transition from.the G1 to the S phase of the cell cycle.However,the discovery of hundreds of possible gene targets and their involvem.nt in m.ny other biochem.cal processes,soon showed that they participated in cell developm.nt and differentiation,chrom.tin rem.deling,DNA repair and others.The E2F/DP transcription factors can act as either activators or repressors of transcription depending on their association to other regulatory proteins,particularly the retinoblastom. protein,or even depending to their protein structure that can define their role.In plants the E2F/DP pathway also regulates endoreduplication,a process present along the life cycle,from.organ elongation to root differentiation and reproduction.These transcription factors also help plant cells to respond to environm.ntal disturbances such as those caused by different types of radiation,or by pathogens.This review focuses on the“so called”non-canonical functions of the E2F/DP fam.ly proteins in anim.l and plant cells,that are in fact essential activities that connect regulatory circuits am.ng m.ltiple m.tabolic pathways by m.ans of their atypical functions.

Objective: This system.tic review aim.d to critically analyze the literature to determ.ne how high-intensity interm.ttent training(HIIT) affects recreational endurance runners in the short-and long-term.m.thods: Electronic databases were searched for literature dating from.January 2000 to October 2015. The search was conducted using the key words "high-intensity interm.ttent training" or "high-intensity interval exercise" or "interval running" or "sprint interval training" and "endurance runners" or "long distance runners". A system.tic approach was used to evaluate the 783 articles identified for initial review. Studies were included if they investigated HIIT in recreational endurance runners. The m.thodological quality of the studies was evaluated using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database(PEDro) scale(for intervention studies) and the m.dified Downs and Black Quality Index(for cross-sectional studies).Results: Twenty-three studies m.t the inclusionary criteria for review. The results are presented in 2 parts: cross-sectional(n = 15) and intervention studies(n = 8). In the 15 cross-sectional studies selected, endurance runners perform.d at least 1 HIIT protocol, and the acute im.act on physiological, neurom.scular, m.tabolic and/or biom.chanical variables was assessed. Intervention studies lasted a m.nim.m.of 4 weeks, with 10 weeks being the longest intervention period, and included 2 to 4 HIIT sessions per week. m.st of these studies com.ined HIIT sessions with continuous run(CR) sessions; 2 studies' subjects perform.d HIIT exclusively.Conclusion: HIIT-based running plans(2 to 3 HIIT sessions per week, com.ining HIIT and CR runs) show athletic perform.nce im.rovem.nts in endurance runners by im.roving m.xim.l oxygen uptake and running econom. along with m.scular and m.tabolic adaptations. To m.xim.ze the adaptations to training, both HIIT and CR m.st be part of training program. for endurance runners.

Cem.nt-sand m.rtar is a construction m.terial widely used;tile adhesive is one of the m.in applications where the com.ressive strength is the key perform.nce m.tric. Nanoparticles like m.CNTs and HNTs are currently being used to im.rove the m.chanical perform.nce of the cem.nt m.rtar due to their properties. The cost of m.CNTs has lim.ted their application in the construction industry. This study focuses on the effect of two different concentrations of m.CNTs and HNTs in cem.nt m.rtar;HNTs are proposed in this study to com.are perform.nce and cost overall benefits. A com.on problem.with m.CNTs is agglom.ration;to achieve a proper dispersion an ultrasonic processor was utilized. m.chanical properties of a cem.nt m.rtar m.dified with nanoparticles were investigated with com.ression and bending tests on specim.ns perform.d at the age of 7 days. Results showed that concentrations of 0.1% of m.CNTs increase in com.ression strength by 56% and concentrations of 0.1% of HNTs perform.nce increased by 31%, both com.ared to plain cem.nt m.rtar.

Traum.tic spinal cord injuries interrupt the connection of all axonal projections with their neuronal targets below and above the lesion site. This interruption results in either tem.orary or perm.nent alterations in the locom.tor, sensory, and autonom.c functions. Dam.ge in the spinal tissue prevents the re-growth of severed axons across the lesion and their reconnection with neuronal targets. Therefore, the absence of spontaneous repair leads to sustained im.airm.nt in voluntary control of m.vem.nt below the injury. For decades, axonal regeneration and reconnection have been considered the opitom. of spinal cord injury repair with the goal being the repair of the dam.ged long m.tor and sensory tracts in a com.lex process that involves:(1) resealing injured axons;(2) reconstructing the cytoskeletal structure inside axons;(3) re-establishing healthy growth cones;and(4) assem.ling axonal cargos. These biological processes require an efficient production of adenosine triphosphate, which is affected by m.tochondrial dysfunction after spinal cord injury. From.a pathological standpoint, during the secondary stage of spinal cord injury, m.tochondrial hom.ostasis is disrupted, m.inly in the distal segm.nts of severed axons. This result in a reduction of adenosine triphosphate levels and subsequent inactivation of adenosine triphosphate-dependent ion pum.s required for the regulation of ion concentrations and reuptake of neurotransm.tters, such as glutam.te. The consequences are calcium.overload, reactive oxygen species form.tion, and excitotoxicity. These events are intim.tely related to the activation of necrotic and apoptotic cell death program., and further exacerbate the secondary stage of the injury, being a hallm.rk of spinal cord injury. This is why restoring m.tochondrial function during the early stage of secondary injury could represent a potentially effective therapeutic intervention to overcom. the m.tor and sensory failure produced by spinal cord injury.
