Effects of moisture content and feed rate on milling characteristics of wild apricot pits (Prunus armeniaca L.)

Milling with decortication of wild apricot pits was done in wild apricot pit decorticator working on the principle of“impact and compression”.The milling characteristics includes decortication efficiency,percentage of husk,percentage of broken kernels and output capacity was evaluated at the different levels of moisture content,i.e.,8%,10%,12%,14%and 16%(w.b.)and feed rates,i.e.,12 g/stroke,14 g/stroke,16 g/stroke,18 g/stroke and 20 g/*** moisture content as well as feed rate significantly(Pusk as well as brokens and output *** efficiency was initially increased and then decreased and opposite nature was found for the percentage of *** percentage of broken kernels and output capacity decreases with the increase in moisture content,while output capacity increases with the increase in feed rate and brokens decreases with the increase in feed rate of wild apricot pits.

Densities, ρ, ultrasonic speeds, u, viscosities, η , and refractive indices, n, of pure benzene, benzyl alcohol (BA), benzonitrile (BN), benzoyl chloride (BC), chlorobenzene (CB) and their thirty six binary mixtures, with benzene as common component, were measured at 303.15 K over the entire mole fraction range. From these experimental data the values of deviations in ultrasonic speed, Δu, isentropic compressibility, Δks, excess acoustic impedance, ZE, deviation in viscosity, Δη, and excess Gibbs free energy of activation of viscous flow, G*E, and partial molar isentropic compressibility, of BA, BN, BC and CB in benzene were computed. The variation of these derived functions with composition of the mixtures suggested the increased cohesion (molecular order) in the solution and that interaction (A-B)>(A-A) or (B-B). Moreover, theoretical prediction of ultrasonic speed, viscosity and refractive index of all the four binary mixtures was made on the basis of empirical and semi-empirical relations by using the experimental values of the pure components. Comparison of theoretical results with the experimental values was made in order to assess the suitability of these relations in reproducing the experimental values of u, η and n. Also, molecular radii of pure liquids and the average molecular radii of binary mixtures were evaluated using the corresponding refractive indices of pure liquids and binary mixtures. The average molecular radii of binary mixtures were found to be additive with respect to mole fraction of the pure component.

Extracellular cellulase free xylanase from Pseudomonas sp. XPB-6 was purified to homogeneity with 2.15 fold of purity and 60.31% yield, respectively by ammonium sulfate precipitation and DEAE ion exchange chromatography. The protein was found to be a homotrimer consisting of three subunits of 41 kDa each and the native molecular weight of 123 kDa. The pH and temperature optimum for enzyme were 7.5 in 100 mM sodium phosphate buffer at 60°C and was stable to a high and broader range of pH and to a temperature up to 75°C. Kinetic experiments at 60°C gave Vmax and Km values of 144.92 u/mg and 0.60 mg·ml-1 respectively for birch wood xylan. The enzyme had no apparent requirement for cofactors, and its activity was strongly inhibited 1 mM Hg2+ and Cu2+ while it was slightly inactivated by 1 mM Mg2+ and Pb2+. Shelf life of xylanase of Pseudomonas sp. XPB-6 was studied both at room temperature and 4°C. The enzyme was stable both at room temperature and at 4°C for 90 and 28 days respectively. The half-life of the enzyme was approximately 40 days at room temperature.

Adult neurogenesis,the process of creating new neurons,involves the coordinated division,migration,and differentiation of neural stem *** process is restricted to neurogenic niches located in two distinct areas of the brain:the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricle,where new neurons are generated and then migrate to the olfactory *** has been thought to occur only during the embryonic and early postnatal stages and to decline with age due to a continuous depletion of neural stem ***,recent years have seen tremendous progress in our understanding of adult brain neurogenesis,bridging the knowledge gap between embryonic and adult ***,we discuss the current status of adult brain neurogenesis in light of what we know about neural stem *** this notion,we talk about the importance of intra cellular signaling molecules in mobilizing endogenous neural stem cell prolife *** on the current understanding,we can declare that these molecules play a role in targeting neurogenesis in the mature ***,to achieve this goal,we need to avoid the undesired proliferation of neural stem cells by controlling the necessary checkpoints,which can lead to tumorigenesis and prove to be a curse instead of a blessing or hope.

Correction of post ankylotic facial asymmetry with bimaxillary distraction osteogenesis—Case report

Facial asymmetry can be acquired or congenital. Patients with facial asymmetry are not always functionally disturbed by the malfunction but are usually very much disturbed by their external appearance. Depending on the degree of asymmetry and deformation, the surgical procedure may vary in complexity and extent. The extent of surgery can range from a genioplasty procedure to bimaxillary osteotomy, concomitant with augmentation surgery, genioplasty and craniofacial implants along with mandibular distraction. In severe cases, the soft tissue structures on the affected side may constitute an incredible resistance to stretching and can make the surgery considerably more difficult and liable to relapse. Here we represent a case of post ankylotic facial asymmetry with occlusal cant which was treated by bimaxillary distraction osteogenesis. Simultaneous mandibular and maxillary distraction corrected the facial asymmetry without disturbing the pre-existing compensated dental occlusion, and so there was no need for prolonged and difficult orthodontic treatment.

Giant flares(GFs)are unusual bursts from soft gamma-ray repeaters(SGRs)that release an enormous amount of energy in a fraction of a *** afterglow emission of these SGR-GFs or GF candidates is a highly beneficial means of discerning their composition,relativistic speed and emission *** 200415A is a recent GF candidate observed in a direction coincident with the nearby Sculptor galaxy at 3.5 *** this work,we searched for transient gamma-ray emission in past observations by Fermi-LAT in the direction of GRB *** observations confirm that GRB 200415A is observed as a transient GeV source only once.A pure pair-plasma fireball cannot provide the required energy for the interpretation of GeV afterglow emission and a baryonic poor outflow is additionally needed to explain the afterglow emission.A baryonic rich outflow is also viable,as it can explain the variability and observed quasi-thermal spectrum of the prompt emission if dissipation is happening below the photosphere via internal *** the peak energy(Ep)of the time-resolved prompt emission spectra and their fluxes(Fp),we found a correlation between Ep and Fp or isotropic luminosity Liso for GRB *** supports the intrinsic nature of Ep-Liso correlation found in SGRs-GFs,hence favoring a baryonic poor *** results also indicate a different mechanism at work during the initial spike,and that the evolution of the prompt emission spectral properties in this outflow would be intrinsically due to the injection process.
