Under the effects of electric field and chemical reaction, the problem of dispersion of aerosols in a poorly conducting fluid in a channel is solved analytically using the mixture theory together with a regular perturbation technique. It is shown that the aerosols are dispersed relative to a plane moving with the mean speed of atmospheric fluid as well as the mean speed of agglomeration of aerosol with a relative diffusion coefficient, called the Taylor dispersion coefficient. This coefficient is numerically computed and the results reveal that it increases with an increase in the electric number, but decreases with increasing porous parameter. The physical explanations for the phenomena are given in this article.

Dear Editor, Host chaperone proteinsarecritical factors in plant virus infec- tion. One ofthe most commonly identified host factors involved in plant virus infection is Hsp70, which functions in ATP hydroly- sis, protein folding, assembly of protein complexes, and translo- cation between cellular compartments. A comparative study of plant virus infection, including Potato virus X （PVX）, reported that Hsp70 is up-regulated by virus infection and possibly con- tributes to pathogenesis in both Arabidopsis and n. benthami- ana plants （Aparicio et al., 2005）. Cytosolic Hsp70 interacts with the tombusvirus and tymovirus replication complexes （Wang et al., 2009）, the potyvirus coat protein （Hafren et al., 2010）, and closteroviruses encode an HSP70 homolog that functions to enable virus intercellular transport （Agranovsky et al., 1998）.

Because the lightness,the gloss and the press-formability of electrogalvanized steel sheets change depending on the morphology of deposited Zn,control of this factor is essential to improving these *** effects of plating factors on the morphology of deposited Zn were systematically discussed both from the crystallographic viewpoint of epitaxy between Zn and steel and from the electrochemical viewpoint of the overpotential for Zn *** factors include crystal orientation of steel substrate,current density,flow rate,temperature,addition of inorganic compounds to the solution and pre-adsorption of organic *** plating factors affect the overpotential for Zn deposition and epitaxy between Zn and *** crystal orientation index of the Zn basal plane and the platelet crystal size of Zn are decreased with increasing the overpotential for Zn *** are also decreased with decreasing the epitaxy between Zn and steel,even when the overpotential is kept *** the overpotential for Zn deposition is increased,the surface roughness of deposited Zn increases because of an increase in the inclination of the Zn basal plane to the steel *** the epitaxy between Zn and steel is decreased without changing the overpotential,the surface roughness is reduced due to the decrease in platelet crystal size of Zn,although the inclination of the Zn basal plane is somewhat *** lightness of deposited Zn is enhanced with decreasing the surface roughness of Zn.

Carbon nitride thin films deposited using dc unbalanced magnetron sputtering system have been analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The XPS data show that n1s binding states depend on substrate temperature T-s, in which the peak at 400.0 eV increases with T-s, whereas the peak at 398.3 eV decreases with T-s slightly. On the basis of XPS, FTIR and Raman spectra, the assignment of n1s electron binding energies was made. The peak at 400.0 eV is attributed to n atoms bonded to sp(2) coordinated C atoms. The peak at 398.3 eV is attributed to n atoms bonded to sp(3) coordinated C atoms as well as n-C bonds.

We present recent results from BABAR experiment for D^0-D^0mixing measurements. Mixing parameters can be measured in different ways using different D^ decay modes, here we discuss the most sensitive analyses such as D^0→ K^＋π^- where we had the first evidence of charm mixing, the measurement of the ratio of lifetimes of the decays D^0→ K^K^ and D^0→π^＋π^- relative to D^0→ K^-π^＋, the time dependent Dalitz plot analysis of D^0→K^＋π^-π^0. new limits on CP-violating time-integrated asymmetries in Do→ K^＋K^- and D^0→π^＋π^- are also discussed. The analyses presented are based on 384 fb^-1 data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory.

Axial compression experiments on as received aluminum tubes and tubes with wall thickness eccentricity incorporated by off centre machining showed that the eccentricity caused transition of their collapse mode from axisymmetric to diamond. The numerical simulation of the collapse phenomenon was undertaken using a static non-linear Finite Element Analysis in AnSYS, and results are found to compare well with the experimental load compression and energy absorption responses for axisymmetric concertina and non-axisymmetric diamond modes. Having validated the numerical model with experiments, it has been used to undertake a systematic study of the load - compression characteristics and collapse mode transitions of the tubes with varying eccentricities in wall thickness and boundary conditions, as well as the material properties.

BACKGROUnD We previously reported national 30-d readmission rates of 27% in patients with decompensated cirrhosis(DC).AIM To study prospective interventions to reduce early readmissions in DC at our tertiary *** Adults with DC admitted July 2019 to December 2020 were enrolled and randomized into the intervention(InT) or standard of care(SOC) arms. Weekly phone calls for a month were completed. In the InT arm, case managers ensured outpatient follow-up, paracentesis, and medication compliance. Thirty-day readmission rates and reasons were *** Calculated sample size was not achieved due to coronavirus disease 2019;240 patients were randomized into InT and SOC arms. 30-d readmission rate was 33.75%, 35.83% in the InT vs 31.67% in the SOC arm(P = 0.59). The top reason for 30-d readmission was hepatic encephalopathy(HE, 32.10%). There was a lower rate of 30-d readmissions for HE in the InT(21%) vs SOC arm(45%, P = 0.03). There were fewer 30-d readmissions in patients who attended early outpatient follow-up(n = 17, 23.61% vs n = 55, 76.39%, P = 0.04).COnCLUSIOn Our 30-d readmission rate was higher than the national rate but reduced by interventions in patients with DC with HE and early outpatient follow-up. Development of interventions to reduce early readmission in patients with DC is needed.
