this study was aimed to prepare landslide susceptibility maps for the Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand,India,using advanced ensemble models that combined Radial Basis Function networks(RBFn)with three ensemble learning techniques:DAGGInG(DG),MULtIBOOSt(MB),and ADABOOSt(AB).this combination resulted in three distinct ensemble models:DG-RBFn,MB-RBFn,and ***,a traditional weighted method,Information Value(IV),and a benchmark machine learning(ML)model,Multilayer Perceptron neural network(MLP),were employed for comparison and *** models were developed using ten landslide conditioning factors,which included slope,aspect,elevation,curvature,land cover,geomorphology,overburden depth,lithology,distance to rivers and distance to *** factors were instrumental in predicting the output variable,which was the probability of landslide *** analysis of the models’performance indicated that the DG-RBFn model,with an Area Under ROC Curve(AUC)of 0.931,outperformed the other *** AB-RBFn model achieved an AUC of 0.929,the MB-RBFn model had an AUC of 0.913,and the MLP model recorded an AUC of *** results suggest that the advanced ensemble ML model DG-RBFn was more accurate than traditional statistical model,single MLP model,and other ensemble models in preparing trustworthy landslide susceptibility maps,thereby enhancing land use planning and decision-making.

We examined the conditions of neutron density(n) and temperature(t9) required for the n = 50, 82,and 126 isotopes to be waiting points(WP) in the r-process. the nuclear mass based on experimental data presented in the AME2020 database(AME and AME ± Δ) and that predicted using FRDM,WS4, DZ10, and KtUY models were employed in our estimations. We found that the conditions required by the n = 50 WP significantly overlap with those required by the n = 82 ones, except for the WS4 model. In addition, the upper(or lower) bounds of the n-t9 conditions based on the models are different from each other due to the deviations in the two-neutron separation *** standard deviations in the nuclear mass of 108 isotopes in the three n = 50, 82, and 126 groups are about rms = 0.192 and 0.434 Me V for the pairs of KtUY-AME and WS4-KtUY models,respectively. We found that these mass uncertainties result in a large discrepancy in the nn-t_(9) conditions, leading to significant differences in the conditions for simultaneously appearing all the three peaks in the r-process abundance. the newly updated FRDM and WS4 calculations can give the overall conditions for the appearance of all the peaks but vice versa for their old versions in a previous study. the change in the final r-process isotopic abundance due to the mass uncertainty is from a few factors to three orders of magnitude. therefore, accurate nuclear masses of the r-process key nuclei, especially for 76 Fe,81Cu,127Rh,132Cd,192Dy, and 197tm, are highly recommended to be measured in radioactive-ion beam facilities for a better understanding of the r-process evolution.

In this study, a two-stage method is presented for identifying multiple damage scenarios. In the first stage, the damage locating vector （DLV） method using normalized cumulative energy （nce） is employed for damage localization in structures. In the second stage, the differential evolution algorithm （DE） is used for damage severity of the structures. In addition, in the second stage, a modification of an available objective function is made for handing the issue of symmetric structures. to verify the effectiveness of the present technique, numerical examples of a 72-bar space truss and a one-span steel portal frame are considered. In addition, the effect of noise on the performance of the identification results is also investigated. the numerical results show that the proposed combination gives good assessment of damage location and extent for multiple structural damage cases.

Clinical outcomes of patients with chronic hepatitis C after generic direct-acting antiviral treatments in Vietnam: A retrospective analysis

Objective:to evaluate the outcomes of generic direct-acting antiviral treatments for chronic hepatitis C in ***:the medical records of 522 patients(median 45 years;Female,25.3%)with chronic hepatitis C treated at a tertiary hospital in northern Vietnam in 2016 were retrospectively ***:Female patients were significantly older than male patients(median 52,IQR 41-59 vs.43 years,IQR:39-55;Png 522 patients,49.4%were infected with hepatitis C virus(HCV)genotype 6,followed by 1 a(19.0%),1 b(13.0%),and 3(5.9%).Coinfection with hepatitis B virus or human immunodeficiency virus was noted in 5.8%and 3.1%of patients,*** were treated with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(70.9%),sofosbuvir/pegylated-interferon+ribavirin(13.2%),daclatasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(12.5%),or sofosbuvir/ribavirin(3.4%),and 96.4%(n=503)completed the direct-acting antiviral *** patient discontinued treatment due to adverse event(s).A sustained virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment(SVR12)was evaluated in 62.6%of *** sustained virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment was 98.7%regardless of HCV genotypes or direct-acting antiviral *** severity of liver stiffness was significantly decreased from 10.2 to 6.3 kilopascals measured by transient elastography by the treatment(Png patients who completed the directacting antiviral treatment,17.7%returned for further follow-ups after ***:In Vietnam,the current generic direct-acting antiviral treatment for chronic hepatitis C was effective regardless of HCV genotypes and direct-acting antiviral regimens with the attenuation of liver *** is feasible to implement direct-acting antiviral treatment to cure chronic hepatitis C patients at any liver fibrosis stages in Vietnam.

As the adoption of explainable AI(XAI) continues to expand, the urgency to address its privacy implications intensifies. Despite a growing corpus of research in AI privacy and explainability, there is little attention on privacy-preserving model explanations. this article presents the first thorough survey about privacy attacks on model explanations and their countermeasures. Our contribution to this field comprises a thorough analysis of research papers with a connected taxonomy that facilitates the categorization of privacy attacks and countermeasures based on the targeted explanations. this work also includes an initial investigation into the causes of privacy leaks. Finally, we discuss unresolved issues and prospective research directions uncovered in our analysis. this survey aims to be a valuable resource for the research community and offers clear insights for those new to this domain. to support ongoing research, we have established an online resource repository, which will be continuously updated with new and relevant findings.

this paper presents a new model-reference adaptive control method based on a bi-objective optimal control formulation for systems with input uncertainty. A parallel predictor model is constructed to relate the predictor error to the estimation error of the control effectiveness matrix. In this work, we develop an optimal control modification adaptive control approach that seeks to minimize a bi-objective linear quadratic cost function of both the tracking error norm and the predictor error norm simultaneously. the resulting adaptive laws for the parametric uncertainty and control effectiveness uncertainty are dependent on both the tracking error and the predictor error, while the adaptive laws for the feedback gain and command feedforward gain are only dependent on the tracking error. the optimal control modification term provides robustness to the adaptive laws naturally from the optimal control framework. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive control approach.
