Numerical simulation of inlet placement on sewage characteristics in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet

To improve the self-cleaning ability of aquaculture tank and the efficiency of circulating water,physical and numerical experiments were conducted on the influence of inlet structure on sewage discharge in a rounded square aquaculture tank with a single *** on the physical model of the tank,analysis of how inlet structure adjustment affects sewage discharge efficiency and flow field characteristics was conducted to provide suitable flow field conditions for sinkable solid particle *** addition,an internal flow field simulation was conducted using the RNG k-εturbulence model in hydraulic drive *** a solid-fluid multiphase model was created to investigate how the inlet structure affects sewage collection in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet and *** finding revealed that the impact of inlet structure is considerably affecting sewage *** conditions of C/B=0.07-0.11(the ratio of horizontal distance between the center of the inlet pipe and the tank wall(C)to length of the tank(B))andα=25°(αis the angle between the direction of the jet and the tangential direction of the arc angle)resulted in optimal sewage collection,which is similar to the flow field experiment in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet and *** excellent correlation was revealed between sewage collection and fluid circulation stability in the aquaculture *** present study provided a reference for design and optimization of circulating aquaculture tanks in aquaculture industry.

Bichromatically pumped artificial cnoidal wave breathers in optical microresonators

Breathers are localized structures that undergo a periodic oscillation in their duration and amplitude. Optical microresonators, benefiting from their high-quality factor, provide an ideal test bench for studying breathing phenomena. In a monochromatically pumped microresonator system, intrinsic breathing instabilities are widely observed in the form of temporal dissipative Kerr solitons which only exist in the effectively red-detuned ***, we demonstrate a novel bichromatic pumping scheme to create compulsive breathing microcombs via respectively distributing two pump lasers at the effectively blue-and red-detuned sides of a single *** experimentally discover the artificial cnoidal wave breathers and molecular crystal-like breathers in a photonic chip-based silicon nitride microresonator and theoretically describe their intriguing temporal dynamics based on the bichromatic pumping Lugiato–Lefever equation. In particular, the corresponding breathing microcombs exhibit diverse comb line spacing ranging from 2 to 17 times the free spectral range of the *** discovery not only provides a simple yet robust method to harness microcombs with reconfigurable comb line spacing but also reveals a new class of breathing waves in driven dissipative nonlinear systems.

Novel PLCZ1 mutation caused polyspermy during in vitro fertilization

Failure of oocyte activation,including polyspermy and defects in pronuclear(PN)formation,triggers early embryonic developmental *** studies have shown that phospholipase C zeta 1(PLCZ1)mutations cause failure of PN formation following intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI);however,whether PLCZ1 mutation is associated with polyspermy during in vitro fertilization(IVF)remains ***-exome sequencing(WES)was performed to identify candidate mutations in couples with primary *** sequencing was used to validate the *** PLCZ1-mutated sperm were injected into human and mouse oocytes to explore whether PN formation was *** oocyte activation(AOA)after ICSI was performed to overcome the failure of oocyte *** identified three PLCZ1 mutations in three patients who experienced polyspermy during IVF cycles,including a novel missense mutation c.1154C>T,*** formation failure was observed during the ICSI ***,injection of multiple PLCZ1-mutated sperm induced PN formation,suggesting that the Ca2+oscillations induced by the sperm exceeded the necessary threshold for PN *** after ICSI enabled normal fertilization,and all patients achieved successful *** findings expand the mutational spectrum of PLCZ1 and suggest an important role for PLCZ1 in terms of blocking ***,this study may benefit genetic diagnoses in cases of abnormal fertilization and provide potential appropriate therapeutic measures for these patients with sperm-derived polyspermy.

Molecular quantification of herbs(Herb-Q):a pyrosequencingbased approach and its application in Pinellia ternata

Dopamine improves apple replant disease resistance by regulating physiological resilience and rhizosphere microbial community structure

Apple replant disease(ARD)is a complex agricultural problem caused by multiple stressors that can lead to increased reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels and limited nutrient utilization in ***,existing countermeasures cannot effectively address this ***,we used Malus hupehensis as a test organism to investigate whether the pleiotropic molecule dopamine can alleviate ARD using pot *** application of 100μmol L-1 dopamine significantly promoted the growth of apple seedlings in the replanted soil,with a relative growth rate increase of 17.44%.Our results revealed two major pathways by which dopamine regulates ARD resistance in apple ***,dopamine effectively reduces the level of ROS and activates the expression of genes related to nitrogen(N)transport and *** those genes,MdNLP5,MdNRT1.1,MdNLP2,MdNRT2.5,MdNLP3,MdNRT2.4,MdNADH-GAGOT,and MdFd-GAGOT were strongly regulated by *** regulatory effects promoted the uptake and utilization of soil N by the ***,dopamine improved the physical and chemical properties,enhanced microbial community diversity,and promoted mutual cooperation between microbial communities in the ***,dopamine altered the microbial structure of rhizosphere soil(upregulating Clostridiales,Gaiellales,Sordariales and Mortierellales;downregulating Micrococcales,Longimicrobiales,Hypocreales and Cystobasidiales).Notably,dopamine significantly upregulated the abundances of Gaiella and Mortierella,both of which were positively correlated with soil urease activity,soil available N content,plant growth and N *** also significantly downregulated the abundance of the plant pathogen Gibberella(by 11.71-fold)in replant *** results provide insights into the mechanisms by which dopamine promotes ARD resistance,and can promote the sustainable development of the apple industry.

Flotation is the most common method to obtain concentrate through the selective adsorption of collectors on target minerals to make them hydrophobic and *** the hydrometallurgy of concentrate,collectors adsorbed on concentrate can damage ion-exchange resin and increase the chemical oxygen demand(COD)value of *** this work,we proposed a new scheme,i.e.,desorbing the collectors from concentrate in ore dressing plant and reusing them in flotation *** nitrate and benzohydroxamic acid(Pb-BHA)complex is a common collector in scheelite *** this study,different physical(stirring or ultrasonic waves)and chemical(strong acid or alkali environment)methods for facilitating the desorption of Pb-BHA collector from scheelite concentrate were ***-mineral desorption tests showed that under the condition of pulp pH 13 and ultrasonic treatment for 15 min,the highest desorption rates of Pb and BHA from the scheelite concentrate were 90.48%and 63.75%,***-of-mine ore flotation tests revealed that the reuse of desorbed Pb and BHA reduced the collector dosage by 30%for BHA and 25%for *** strong alkali environment broke the chemical bonds between Pb and *** cavitation effect of ultrasonic waves effectively reduced the interaction intensity between Pb-BHA collector and scheelite *** method combining ultrasonic waves and strong alkali environment can effectively desorb the collectors from concentrate and provide“clean”scheelite concentrate for metallurgic plants;the reuse of desorbed collector in flotation flowsheet can reduce reagent cost for ore dressing plants.
