The amount of literature on both melting and thermal conductivity of iron at Earth’s core conditions is overwhelming and the discrepancies are very *** is a broad range of experimental techniques each of which is flawed to a certain degree,which may explain the *** this report,we present new data using a different method for determining the phase behavior and resistivity of iron in the laser-heated diamond cell by measuring the electrical resistance of both solid and liquid iron *** experiment avoids some of the major flaws of previous experiments,the most important of which is the detection of the onset of *** measurements confirm a shallow melting curve found earlier and the resistivity data imply a trend towards low thermal conductivity in the liquid outer core.

The carboxy-terminus of Hsp70-interacting protein(CHIP)is a ubiquitin ligase and co-chaperone belonging to Ubox family that plays a crucial role in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis by switching the equilibrium of the folding-refolding mechanism towards the proteasomal or lysosomal degradation *** links molecular chaperones ***70,HSP70 and HSP90 with ubiquitin proteasome system(UPS),acting as a quality control *** contains charged domain in between N-terminal tetratricopeptide repeat(TPR)and C-terminal Ubox *** domain interacts with the aberrant client proteins via chaperones while Ubox domain facilitates the ubiquitin transfer to the client proteins for ***,CHIP is a classic molecule that executes ubiquitination for degradation of client ***,CHIP has been found to be indulged in cellular differentiation,proliferation,metastasis and ***,CHIP can play its dual role as a tumor suppressor as well as an oncogene in numerous malignancies,thus acting as a double ***,in this review,we have reported almost all substrates of CHIP established till date and classified them according to the hallmarks of *** addition,we discussed about its architectural alignment,tissue specific expression,sub-cellular localization,folding-refolding mechanisms of client proteins,E4 ligase activity,normal physiological roles,as well as involvement in various diseases and tumor ***,we aim to discuss its importance in HSP90 inhibitors mediated cancer ***,this report concludes that CHIP may be a promising and worthy drug target towards pharmaceutical industry for drug development.

AIM:To determine the prevalence of restless legs syndrome(RLS)in patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).METHODS:Patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS(n=30),constipation-predominant IBS(n=30),or mixed-symptom IBS(n=30)were recruited from the community between March 2008 and February *** 200 mg three times daily was administered empirically to alleviate small intestinal bowel over-growth in all *** presence of RLS was assessed via an RLS questionnaire and ***:Twentysix patients with IBS(29%)were diagnosed with RLS using the RLS ***-four of the 26 patients(92%)underwent polysomnog-raphy,and all had confirmation of RLS.A greater percentage of patients with RLS had diarrhea-predominant IBS(62%)compared with patients with constipation-predominant IBS(4%)or mixed-symptom IBS(33%).CONCLUSION:Restless legs syndrome is prevalent in patients with IBS,especially those with diarrheal *** of concomitant disorders may improve diagnosis and expand relevant treatment options for patients.

Influence of temperature on tunneling-enhanced recombination in Si based p–i–n photodiodes

We investigate the dominant dark current transport mechanism in Si based p-i-n photodiodes, namely, BPW 21R, SFH 205FA and BPX 61 photodiodes in the temperature range of 350 to 139 K. The forward current- voltage characteristics of these photodiodes are explained via the tunneling enhanced recombination model, which gives a quantitative description of the electronic mechanism in the p-i-n junction photodiodes. The observed tem- perature dependence of the saturation current and the diode ideality factor of these devices agree well with theo- retical predictions; the analysis also indicates the importance of doping for enhancement of tunneling. The present study will be helpful in applying the devices at low temperature ambience.

The influence of temperature on the intensity of light emitted by as well as the carrier life time r of a standard A1GaAs based light emitting diode has been investigated in the temperature range from 345 to 136 K. The open-circuit voltage decay （OCVD） technique has been used for measured the carrier lifetime. Our experimental results reveal a 16% average increase in intensity and a 163.482-19.765 ns variation in carrier lifetime in the above temperature range. Further, theoretical and experimental analysis show that for negligible carrier density the intensity is inversely proportional to carrier lifetime for this sample.

Fucoidan can cure both antimony-sensitive and antimony-resistant visceral leishmaniasis through immune activation. However, the signaling events underlying this cellular response remain uncharacterized. The present study reveals that fucoidan induces activation of p38 and ERKI/2 and NF-κB DNA binding in both normal and Leishmania *** macrophages, as revealed by western blotting and electrophoretic mobility shift assay （EMSA）, respectively. Pharmacological inhibition of p38, ERKI/2 or the NF-κB pathway markedly attenuated fucoidan-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine synthesis and inducible nitric oxide synthase （iNOS） gene transcription, resulting in a reduction of parasite clearance. To decipher the underlying mechanism of fucoidan-mediated parasite suppression, the expression and functionality of various protein kinase C （PKC） isoforms were evaluated by immunoblotting and enzyme activity assay. Fucoidan elicited an increase in expression and activity of PKC-α, -β1 and -βⅡ isoforms in infected macrophages. Functional knockdown of PKC-α and -β resulted in downregulation of p38 and ERKI/2, along with a marked reduction of IL-12 and TNF-α production in fucoidan-treated infected macrophages. Collectively, these results suggest that the curative effect of fucoidan is mediated by PKC-dependent activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK）/NF-κB pathway, which ultimately results in the production of nitric oxide （NO） and disease-resolving pro-inflammatory cytokines.

The paper deals with growth estimates and approximation(not necessarily entire) of solutions of certain elliptic partial differential equations. These solutions are called generalized bi-axially symmetric potentials(GBASP’s). To obtain more refined measure of growth, we have defined q-proximate order and obtained the characterization of generalized q-type and generalized lower q-type with respect to q-proximate order of a GBASP in terms of approximation errors and ratio of these errors in sup norm.
