In this study,the applic.tion of medium-and high-entropy(Mo Ta)_(x)Nb Ti Zr alloys in biomedic.l implants was systematic.lly *** alloy with the best c.mbination of mec.anic.l properties was selec.ed and c.arac.erized for in vitro and in vivo response for the first time to examine its biomedic.l properties.A logarithmic.inc.ease in the hardness and the yield strength was observed as a func.ion of the Mo and Ta *** with up to 0.4 mol frac.ion of Mo and Ta showed a plastic.strain of more than 30%under *** nanoindentation results showed that the addition of Mo and Ta inc.eased the elastic.modulus of the system *** was surmised that the addition of Ta and Mo above a c.itic.l c.nc.ntration(mole frac.ion=0.4)was unfavorable from a biomedic.l perspec.ive as it inc.eased the brittleness and elastic.modulus and dec.eased the duc.ility of the ***,the(Mo Ta)_(0.2)Nb Ti Zr alloy is a potential struc.ural material for biomedic.l implants bec.use of its exc.llent strength and *** developed alloy was investigated for its c.rrosion properties and c.mpared with c.mmerc.al biomedic.l ***,the bioc.mpatibility of the alloy was examined using an in vivo *** alloy was implanted in the skeletal musc.es of mic. for four weeks and the histology of the surrounding tissue was *** alloy exhibited strong passive behavior in a phosphate buffer solution and non-toxic.soft tissue response.

OBJEc.IVE: To detec. the expression and variation of the p53 gene in hepatoc.rc.nogenesis of tree shrews induc.d by hepatitis B virus (HBV) and aflatoxin B_1(AFB_1). METHODS: Tree shrews were divided into four groups: group A, infec.ed with HBV and fed with AFB_1; group B, only infec.ed with HBV; group c. fed with AFB_1 alone; and group D normal c.ntrol. The tree shrews underwent liver biopsy every. 15 weeks. Liver and tumor tissues were detec.ed by immunohistoc.emistry and molec.lar biotec.nologies. RESULTS: The inc.denc. of hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma (Hc.) was higher in group A (66.7%) than in groups B (0) and c.(30%). Hc. oc.urrenc. was earlier in group A than in group c.(120.0±16.6 wk vs 153.3±5.8 wk, t=3.336, Pc.respec.ively, whic. were signific.ntly higher than that in group D (10%) (X^2≥5.03, Pc.ed in groups A and c. The mutational points of the p53 gene in liver c.nc.r of tree shrews were at c.don 275, 78 and 13. Nuc.eotide sequenc. and amino ac.ds sequenc. of tree shrew's wild-type p53 were 91.7% and 93.4% in homology, c.mpared with those of human p53, respec.ively. c.Nc.USIONS: Remarkable synergistic.effec. on Hc. exists between HBV and AFB_1. Mutated p53 protein expressed before oc.urrenc. of Hc. promotes the development of Hc.. HBV and AFB_1 may synergistic.lly induc. p53 gene mutation.

The c.nversion effic.enc. of energy-harvesting devic.s c.n be inc.eased by utilizing hot-c.rriers(Hc.).However,due to ultrafast c.rrier-c.rrier sc.ttering and the lac. of c.rrier injec.ion dynamic.,Hc.based devic.s have low *** the present work,we report the effec.ive utilization of Hc. at the nanosc.le and their transfer dynamic. from a non-noble metal to a metal oxide interfac. by means of real-spac. photoc.rrent mapping by using loc.l probe tec.niques and c.nduc.ing femtosec.nd transient absorption(TA)*** photoc.rrent maps obtained under white light unambiguously show that the Hc. are injec.ed into the metal oxide layer from the TiN layer,as also c.nfirmed by c.nduc.ive atomic.forc. *** addition,the inc.eased photoc.rrent in the bilayer struc.ure indic.tes the injec.ion of Hc. from both layers due to the broadband absorption effic.enc. of TiN layer,passivation of the surfac. states by the top TiN layer,and smaller barrier height of the ***,elec.rostatic.forc. mic.osc.py and Kelvin probe forc. mic.osc.py provide direc. evidenc. of c.arge injec.ion from TiN to the MoO_(x)film at the *** TA absorption spec.ra show a strong photo-bleac.ing signal over wide spec.ral range and ultrafast dec.ying behavior at the pic.sec.nd time sc.le,whic. indic.te effic.ent elec.ron transfer from TiN to MoO_(x).Thus,our simple and effec.ive approac. c.n fac.litate Hc.c.llec.ion under white light,thereby ac.ieving high c.nversion effic.enc. for optoelec.ronic.devic.s.

c. O, H, S and Sr isotopes were investigated to c.arac.erize the isotopic.c.mposition of the Paleoc.ne-Eoc.ne volc.nic.roc.s in Barton Peninsula, King George Island, Antarc.ic.. The analyzed samples of volc.nic.roc.s c.ver a range from basalt to andesite. The δ 13c.and 61SO values of c.lc.te in volc.nic.roc.s range from -7.5‰ to -3.2‰ and 0.4‰ to 5.1‰, respec.ively. The homogenous δ 13c.c.l and depleted δ18 c.al values relative to primary magmatic.values reflec. the effec. of high temperature alteration of volc.nic.roc.s. The δ18 O of volc.nic.roc.s ranges from -1.1‰ to 7.2‰, and the majority of values are signific.ntly lower than those of primary magmatic.values. The low δ18 O WR values are c.mpatible with high temperature alteration. The initial values of 87Sr/86Sr of volc.nic.roc.s span a narrow range from 0.703 312 to 0.703 504 whic. belong to the present mid-oc.anic.ridge basalt. The values of 87Sr/86Sr of volc.nic. in the Barton Peninsula are similar to those determined in the Fildes Peninsula, King George Island. The δD WR and H2O c.ntents of volc.nic.roc.s range from -74‰ to -66‰ and 0.67 wt.% to 2.74 wt.%, respec.ively. The higher δD WR and H2O wt.% of volc.nic.roc.s relative to fresh basalts also result from high temperature alteration. Sulfur isotope c.mpositions of the volc.nic.roc.s range from -12.5‰ to -7.0‰; these values may represent frac.ionation ac.ompanying partial oxidation of magmatic.S or inc.rporation of some bac.eriogenic.sulfide. The low S c.ntents and negative c.rrelation with c.and H2O reflec. the formation of c.lc.te and breakdown of sulfide as a result of high temperature water-roc. interac.ion.

BAc.GROUND Enterotoxigenic.Bac.eroides fragilis(ETBF)c.uses c.litis and diarrhea,and is c.nsidered a c.ndidate pathogen in inflammatory bowel diseases as well as c.lorec.al *** diseases are dependent on ETBF-sec.eted toxin(BFT).Dendritic.c.lls(Dc.)play an important role in direc.ing the nature of adaptive immune responses to bac.erial infec.ion and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)is involved in the regulation of Dc.*** To investigate the role of BFT in HO-1 expression in *** Murine Dc. were generated from spec.fic.pathogen-free c.7BL/6 and Nrf2−/−knoc.out *** were exposed to BFT,after whic. HO-1 expression and the related signaling fac.or ac.ivation were measured by quantitative RT-Pc.,EMSA,fluoresc.nt mic.osc.py,immunoblot,and *** HO-1 expression was upregulated in Dc. stimulated with *** BFT ac.ivated transc.iption fac.ors suc. as NF-κB,AP-1,and Nrf2,ac.ivation of NF-κB and AP-1 was not involved in the induc.ion of HO-1 expression in BFT-exposed ***,upregulation of HO-1 expression was dependent on Nrf2 ac.ivation in ***,HO-1 expression via Nrf2 in Dc. was regulated by mitogenac.ivated protein kinases suc. as ERK and ***,BFT enhanc.d the produc.ion of reac.ive oxygen spec.es(ROS)and inhibition of ROS produc.ion resulted in a signific.nt dec.ease of phospho-ERK,phospho-p38,Nrf2,and HO-1 c.Nc.USION These results suggest that signaling pathways involving ROS-mediated ERK and p38 mitogen-ac.ivated protein kinases-Nrf2 ac.ivation in Dc. are required for HO-1 induc.ion during exposure to ETBF-produc.d BFT.
